.Stokely Carmichael reminded us that West Indian countries were not built to be self-sufficient or successful but used as a sugar cane plantation. It is up to us to change Africa into a sustainable place that can trade within and negotiate fair and equal trade with the rest of the world. We cannot cry over the ways others protect their self-interest anywhere if we do not protect assets and talents at home. There is nothing wrong with loving yourself or your own people as others do, but everything wrong with self-hating and justifying their policies and insults against you
Grandstar you have comprehension problem. Otherwise the very first paragraph and the above should have solved your problem. Africans are capable and they have demonstrated that inside Africa by creating enabling environment in the jungles to create factories but more important in foreign countries where obstacles have been thrown at them.

We need more, not from outside but at home where they are too complacent. If it was not for their resilient DNA, Africans could have perished long time ago.

You mister, is part of the problem.

. quote author=grandstar post=80424496]Most of what he wrote here is gibberish. Writings such as these leave me seething. He has a poor understanding of how things work.

Ukraine is poor despite 930,000 of people of Ukrainian American. Ukrainians going back achieves nothing.

They say a fish rots from the head. Same with countries. As long as the head can't formulate policies that will change the economy, no amount of return will change things. Africans didn't ruin their economies. Their leaders did.

Also, there are developed black countries such as the Bahamas and Barbados. There are even some respectable ones such as Botswana and the Seychelles.

Returnees can make only the amount of change they are permitted to make or know how to make. A good example is Okonjo Oweala. She tried her best during the time of Jonathan's Presidency but the weak man did not follow all her advise.

If the Europeans all went back to develop their countries, there'd be no America to go.

Italy was transformed by Italians living at home even though over 9 million millions of their country men emigrated worldwide to all parts of the world. 2% of Scots have Italian blood. Sylvester Stallone , Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and so on are either 2nd or 3rd generation Italian Americans.

The article also neglects the fact that many African economies are growing quite fast and I am sure in 25 years time, many will by unrecognizable then. If the world hasn't come to an end by then, people like this writer will eat humble pie.

Great. This is a better way to spend money rather than the onstetatious display of vanities.

If the money was not stolen in the first place, there would be no need to take on this task.

It may not be popular thought looking at the way Okorocha was blasted for his education program.

Nice gesture, thanks.

You are talking to people with selfish interest that want to destroy the country by any means, that have supported every measure that destroyed middle class. Whenever they have the chance to to rule, they steal Nigeria blind and still cry for power.

Thanks for you patriotic messages.

Jacseyi:
The more people becoming successful the better the society.....If you as a man become successful, everyone around you would feel the impact. That's how society is.....If black Americans have the same opportunity with the white folks from the beginning America would have been closer to a perfect society. Lack of opportunity equals to imbalance and crime in any society.

Nigerian youths need more opportunities and jobs esp in the south. The north needs more investment in early education while govt needs to restructure the justice system and power supply. The solution to Nigeria problems would be solved by 80% minimum.

It is hard to see Nigerians arguing on behalf of Trump and the Republicans that have lost their bearing and moral values so much that they have pushed their fellow party members out.

These are values some Nigerians are supporting. You then wonder how our country has gone to the dogs.

This reminds me of the discussion on Structural Adjustment and later on Devaluation. Look at how those two programs wiped out our middle class. These champions of schools of how to turn Africans and their descendants into serfs forever never stopped.

Even in the face of realities creating the poorest number of people on earth. As long as they serve their masters like Trump that is ready to sacrifice them at the alter of "freedom" in Libya.

My God!

This Kanu guy is more obsequious than I thought, even foolish. Who told him the Fulani are retreating?

Their only fear is going to war without the support of the Middle Belt and the West. Obasanjo broke their camels' back after Danjuma have up on them.

Fulani have never fought any battle. They used Hausa against themselves to overthrow their own Dynasty by using religion. They claimed victory over Biafra but who fought the battle?

Give it to some of them, they now realize that without Obasanjo and Danjuma, they have already lost.

But, they will try again. Kanu: other Igbo know better, they are smarter than you boy.

World leaders condemned Trump but these Nigerians see Trump differently until they taste some of his policies. Even then, they will deny it and clean mouth.

Many of you guys are pathetic, really.

Is there anywhere in the South Fulani have not perpetrated their atrocities?

Many of you use every single opportunity to cry about who voted for Fulani. If Jonathan was that good, would anyone think twice about voting for him? This guy carried both North and South in his first election only to squander the goodwill.

Who was pushing him around? the same guys complaining now. During Jonathan reign you kept up emphasizing your tiny votes as if that was all that got him elected. You occupied every powerful position and left Nigeria worse than you met it. Even worse, Southsouth remained environmental disaster while you crowned DANSUKI your king and Father Christmas.

Instead of you to hide your face, you have the gut to blame Southwest for the same coalition you had with Fulani since Independence.

One would think the parasitic billionaires among the Hausa/Fulani would caution them.

Fulani are lazy but smart enough to use others to fight for them. Hausa are loyal to them but if Biafra could not defeat Nigeria, what makes Fulani think they can defeat the rest of Nigerians is nothing short of Insanity.

Before Boko Haram attempted murder of Buhari in Kaduna, he had defended them, Ciroma openly said they would make Nigeria ungovernable and Maitatsine went wild. None were called to order or invited by DSS until they turned against Northerners. Buhari, no prayers can solve this. All Nigerians are not Hausa conquered by Fulani with prayers. You are waiting for war!

The first million a Nigerian makes, he looks for ways to throw it into foreign countries.

I see Canada as a choice for many of you. The mistake most Africans make is that they think the so called "civilized climes" they hear about apply to them.

No, it does not apply to you, it applies to their privileged class. You are the firewood they use to burn their engines. The same jobs you will never do at home because of your PhD, "MD" or DrSc, you will beg to do it when you are desperate and hungry or go into crimes.

The new generation of Blacks in Canada and US cannot even make or buy the same house as their parents. Over 50% live from pay check to pay cheque. Many of them cannot boost of a thousand dollars in the bank.

Note most of those 50 are 90% of you.

Who told you millionaire and billionaires do not have security? Try them u hia?

You think they go on social medias to display "gifted" instead of remaining anonymous?

Until Africans learn how to make use of their God given resources, stop throwing it away to those enslaving you by branding mentally, continue to use your labor to enrich themselves, Africans will continue to cry inside and outside where you are wasted as slaves, body parts and poo lickers.

This is the type of post that lead naive people outside the country.

While privileged Americans survive on one income that provides a good life for every members of their families, it gives the partner usually a woman the choice of work or devote time for the family.

Compared to Nigerians on two or three jobs to make the same money, that is if they survive it. Even professionals have second jobs. A doctor may work heavy schedule and work at emergency for par time. An accountant may do security or taxi part time. A lawyer is not excepted.

They still have to pay student loans, live big, send money home. The children that hardly see their parents and those that work themselves to death are gone and forgotten.

These are the Nigerians conservatives pitch against native blacks as lazy. Do professionals Nigerians work that hard at home?

Politics › Re: Raufu Aregbesola Promise Of Cattle Ranch To Lagos by googi(op): 1:18pm On Jul 05, 2019
Arguing with cronies of Raufu is just a waste of time that could be better used on productive pursuit of the best anywhere in the world.

Anyone that thinks Osun is the Showcase for Nigeria or the world has serious problems.

But we must be fair, this is what we are reduced to in a country of the blind. I saw one of the pastors who paid a visit to Europe and started pouring curses on our leaders. He could not believe that these leaders have seen what he saw and still kept us in the dark.

Well, one has to wonder when was the last time this Raufu crony got paid and from which fund while the rest of Osun lament without salary in poverty.

This is beyond Osun, we are now used to mediocre in Nigeria and ready to compare a few asslickers to the masses. If they are doing good on the social media with "gifted", the rest of us must wait for God to pick up our calls.

In the process, we are creating the greatest amount of poor people in the world. But Nigerians say it is only in the North and poverty has nothing to do with them.

Suffering and smiling!

BTW, no need to argue any further on Osun, the poorest state in the West that failed to live up to its potentials.
Politics › Re: Raufu Aregbesola Promise Of Cattle Ranch To Lagos by googi(op): 4:22am On Jul 05, 2019
The main problem we have in Nigeria is building on what others did. How could Awo be a distraction here if those that followed left it better than they met it?

If Raufu was not a rogue like Tinubu and others that think Lagos or Osun was better off after these two rogues, why did Osun not pay salary? You see that as derailing?

MetaPhysical? You or someone hijacked your handle.

The cattle Ranches propagated could have taken Osun to the 21st century. I fail to understand why we settle for second best when we can be the best in the world.

Awo and co. are relevant here because if they were thinking like you, we would not have Western Region to rely on, we would still be dwelling on ancient history of Ghana, Mali and Songhai.

MetaPhysical, are you going to brag about today's Osun to your children?

Thank God the old pictures and videos of Lagos are now being circulated on social media for people to compare and contrast since oil income and all the vagabonds took over.

MetaPhysical:

Tinubu, Awo, Ajasin, and all these people are distractions on a topic about cattle ranch in the administration of Aregbe.

Deomelo,

This is interesting.

In a country where there are blind people, one eye man is the king. The way Raufu left Osun and the way he started are like night and day.

Mind you, I was so high on this guy when he was making this promises of feeding the South, I started the applause for him. That was how I love this guy.

If he fulfilled his promises, the Fulani would have been out of cow business in the South preventing the RAGU or Ranch problem we have today.

Moreover, he bankrupt Osun but had to pay his master Tinubu. Well, both are from the same State and Tinubu sponsored him anyway.

Let me ask you: Is Osun better off today?

This is how folks that do not know Lagos praised Tinubu to high heavens. Is Lagos better off today?

Can you imagine if Awo, Akintola, Odunjo, Ajasin and co. we're this selfish and gready, we will not be talking about many Firsts in the West.

But I do not blame their cronies, you never had it so good. Well, some of us have and we know where we were born.

Has Raufu been able to sustain Osun not to mention Lagos and the West or South?

Time and Time again, seed money and the projects disappeared. I thought someone would show us how the project has multiplied to become source of income for Osun. No they did not even pay salary.

This clarification is disingenuous with a k leg.

The North has more land than the South, it make more sense to spread this "generosity" to the land mass where it is needed most - in the North.

Desert is taking over the North, spend the money there so that Nigeria can buy grass as they bought from Niger.

Leave the South to the South. If you are serious, buy land and hand it over to indigenes not Fulani to manage.

So Men Of God Do Pray & Trafficate

Yes O, they do O!

So Men Of God Do Pray & Trafficate

Abusing the privilege of free press is bad, but locking up sexual accusers as a deterrent to discourage sexual abuse report is worse. The right many societies has given women to report sexual harassment or abuse is a balancing act. We expect some loud mouths, no matter how notorious, to abuse that right. But it must never get to where those of us falsely accused must use police without due process, to lock them or their relatives up.

Powerful men of God had used heaven and hell to threaten anyone that crosses their line by publishing or revealing their sexual escapades, that takes time. They now call on the police to lock up disenchanted without due process. It was what military politicians used to do when any journalist wrote against them. Nigerian press was too vigorous to repress then or now. They moved from one house to another at night to print their stories. We have internet now, it is more difficult even for erring pastors to suppress.

Before that was Lagos Weekend that printed all types of salacious stories about anyone that had to be exposed. Unfortunately, most were unfounded gossips to sell newspaper. Powerful men have become thin skinned and unforgiven since then and are ready to deal with anyone by any means including instant justice by using their believers, threats, police to lock up alleged accusers and the courts by imposing excessive or no bail.
