Politics › Re: Sowore Is Sick, Being Denied Treatment by googi: 8:40pm On Sep 01, 2019
We always blame the youth for not fighting for the country. Here is a guy who did as a youth, he is still fighting in his older years.

Here is the difference between fighting for a country longer than anyone of the noise makers that hate him for that:

Compared to those fighting to burn, loot and conquer whatever remains there are. The hypocrisy stinks to high heavens.

I wonder if we should move the battle ground to their domain. Insult and jeer them in their own home and see how many of them will welcome us in thousands on a daily basis.

God created us differently but we are learning fast. Let this generation deal with them. Past generation were foolish thinking they were accommodating.
Culture › Re: Yoruba traditional wedding attire for bride and groom by googi: 6:55pm On Sep 01, 2019
If this culture can be rightly branded, no culture could catch up worldwide.

The way younger generation build on their mode of fashion have been respected, copied and admired everywhere.

But it still needs more participation.

I completely agree with you. But be careful, in this day of fake news, do not be surprised if some mischievous fella come up with pictures of uncompleted building for their gullible followers.

Religion is one of those combustible Items in Nigeria where we demand Muslim prayer for every Christian prayer or vice versa before and after every meeting but no African prayer.

It's all eye and high services.

TONYE001:
Is there a picture anywhere on the internet showing this said mosque while it stood erect? Imagine that the governor did demolish a mosque. Are you implying that in this time of smart phones and internet, no worshiper or sympathiser would take pictures and video recordings?

I agree with your take on Nigerian politicians. The thing is, while I'm angry about the terrible state our leaders have lead us into, I'm equally careful about fanning flames of tension especially in a case that is questionable.
Politics › Re: Infrastructural Developments In Ore Excite Residents. by googi: 3:25pm On Sep 01, 2019
You nailed it right on.

grandstar:
Mimiko was a welfarist and his policies were focused on how to improve the lives of those at the grass roots through socio-economic activities. He was also good in getting a bang from money spent.

He modernized markets in Ondo state. They are probably the neatest and cleanest in the country and you can go there with a white flowing agbada and come out clean

He built three Mother and Child Care centers to cover maternity issues for pregnant women. During his tenure, a fixed fee of N500 was charge per pregnancy no matter how costly the delivery was (this was too generous). He dualised some important roads in Ondo town, Akure and other places. He bulit millenium schools with modern facilities (complete waste of funds) and provided free buses for students.

Akeredolu on the other hand seems business minded and wants to use economic activity to turn the state around. I feel a massive amusement park should be built at Ore. This will certainly change Ore for good. It will be jam packed with merry makers every weekend from all parts of the country. The town would by then be ripe for a Shoprite. Ore is a nodal town and its location should be exploited

Could you please share with me where Gov. Wike admitted demolishing the said mosque?
Even if he did, since when do we start believing politicians, especially in a volatile situation such as this.

What kind of damage control trash is this when wike the wicked soul admitted destroying the mosque and even boasted of destroying more? huh
Even then, one would expect a Governor and former Governor of Northern states to have verifiable information before making volatile statements. Especially in a volatile region.

Politics › Re: Infrastructural Developments In Ore Excite Residents. by googi: 2:20pm On Sep 01, 2019
I wonder why it took this long. Past governors were either neglectful or worried about another attempt to invade. If that is the case, memorable fortress must be built as a deterrent, tourist attraction and place of commerce at the same time.

The hills around should be developed for sight tower for tourists as well as a powerful magnifying room to watch out for friends and foes that may want to sneak in.

Ore will not only be a place of commerce bringing all Nigerians together but a tourist area for historical purposes.

Politics › Re: Nigeria must leave the global economy. by googi: 5:06pm On Aug 31, 2019
Africa must either learn to swim on its own or sink. Right now we are sinking and getting heavier gulping foreign goods and services hoping they will deliver us.

How can the same foreign opium used to exploit you deliver you?

Go cold turkey or sink forever. The foreign cronies have been preaching the same solutions for ever.
Politics › Whenever The House Is On Fire Blame First Until House Is Destroyed by googi(op): 3:19pm On Aug 31, 2019
There are facts in this country everyone fails to accept. We are more interested in the Blame Shaming than finding Solutions.

Reasonable people would put their efforts together to put out the fire burning a house down. In Nigeria we laugh and wish the house burn out of existence so that we can built a new one in Europe or America.

Point out these facts and realities, they project their HATE for the Country on you without pointing out what you said wrong or inaccurate.

Some of us will never give up on this Country because we come from the Region all Nigerians run to.

30 percent, where did you get that figure from?

You mean 150 to 200 percent. Try and find out the outrageous allocation for foreign contents, wether needed or not. No Nigerian politician budgets or allocates contract for materials without foreign contents unless you are their enemies.

Do you know how much one km of road cost in Lagos?

Ms. Odeyinka,

Oppression and taking advantage of ladies are serious problems; it is not an experiment. Were you dressed to be provocative or modestly dressed as respectable lady?

The problem with African women copying Western ladies blindly is that their sacrificial lambs are black men. Most of the white men accused of abuse are tied up in courts, sent to Supreme Court as Justice, died as PlayBoy and Pent House Magazine owner or elected President.

Tempting African men in a crowd will not help your cause even as a lawyer. The chilling effect in America has been vigorously fought against, by white women. The same ones that instigate black women against black men while they stay with their abusive white men.

Before we celebrate the way we did when the capital was being move to Abuja, we better wait. Lagos got even denser not lighter as we expected.

Well, they see their twisted reverse projection of mental illness differently. They believe most people think like them and worship Johnathan that squandered the greatest votes from North and South in history.

If you are a farmer or fisherman struggling to make a living in the Niger Delta, watch your children that played by the rules idled, waiting for those that contributed to the most polluted environmental disaster in Nigeria, to give them jobs because they made money. How would you feel?

They are stuck at home in the Delta while folks like Reno are spending their loot in foreign countries. Reno has reasons to celebrate mental derangement. It not about Soyinka.

You are right sir but areye you saying that we should not allow them to come to our schools.Remember that Yorubaland has more schools, higher institutions than anywhere in Nigeria.
If you read what I stated, I think the tolerance and accommodation between UI and University of Nigeria, Nssuka is informative. They do have Yoruba at Nssuka just as they have Yoruba in Eastern states. The number speaks for itself Are they as complacent?

Somebody asked who would lend Igbo money, Guarantee Trust the way they lend Innoson(•‿•)
Politics › Re: South-West Tops List Of Domestic Debtors, South-East Least Indebted by googi: 4:35pm On Aug 20, 2019
Most of the arguments here only point to one conclusion. There is no question that most of the progressive institutions in Nigeria are located in one area of the country, South West.

Industrial Estates, Schools at all levels, Housing Estates, not to mention factories and transportation by road, water and air. Most of these were created by Regional Government before oil became an income.

Actually, Western Region covered more area then than today. These institutions attracted not only Nigerian from all regions but Africans from all countries.

It was a pride then to boast that all these institutions were open to all regardless of "tribe", ethnic group or nationalities. University of Ibadan, though was a British College produced the finest scholars regardless of ethnicity. Compare that to University of Nigeria, Nssuka.

Jakande Housing, free schools and hospitals available to all. Even Yoruba complained against Jakande that all the house boys and girls chose to go to Schools creating shortage of help.

Outsiders are still grateful and thankful for these egalitarian services and generosity throughout Africa from South African Mandela to Liberians across West Africa.

This argument here and many others are warnings to South West that they will overrun your institutions and infrastructure and continue to do so only to call you mumu for your generosity.

Yoruba Ronu.

Education › Re: The Library Emeka Offor Is Building In Daura Is 98% Completed (Photos) by googi: 3:58pm On Aug 17, 2019
We have to be careful when a man decides on good deed like this instead of spraying on vanities.

Usein Bolt once donated money to charity in one of the rich Asian country well after one of his victory there.

Some people blamed him for not giving that money to charity in Jamaica. Whatever his motive, if he made money there, and if Emeka Offor made money in Daura, it is a smart move.

It is different from one of our Yoruba (can't remember which) pastor that took money from the poor in Nigeria to give charity in Israel.

Emeka spent widely in my humble opinion.
