Poor girl. Ask your great grandma what white sailors did to her in Nigeria or earlier in Americas.

Police are still using your types for rituals in daylight on American streets.

You're going to end up like one of them. You think Africans are wicked, eh?

Wait for the pleasure of a white man.

It is a shame that in 2019 we are still fighting the about the health of our economy based on the whims and caprices of IMF, WB, Paris Club etc.

Why? They and their African economists are trained at London School of Economics, Cambridge, Harvard etc.

The same ones that gave us Structural Adjustment and Devaluation. They have been at it for over 60 years after Independence. 100 years before then, yet we take their prescription as gospel truth.

These greatest debtors on Earth preach surplus forex for you so that their Foreign Equity "Investors" can dip into your stock market on short-term basis, raid your reserves without any long-term or structural investment.

African mumu hail them as miraculous economic predictors.

Mumu kotinu aiding and abetting because dem give crumbs in foreign banks. Ndi ara!

You are right. Ugbo and Igbo has been confused from the past. Some Igbo claimed they were the original occupiers of Ife until Oba of Ugbo clarified the whole thing.

If we want to stick to ancient history though, there is very little difference between Yoruba and Igbo. Claiming Mecca as some Yoruba do and claiming Israel as some Igbo do is nothing short of inferiority complex. How can people of the old world claim new world as their ancestors?

igbodefender:
The Olugbo (of Ugbo Ilaje) used to have the title of Olu Igbo hundreds of years ago. Are you aware of that?

The first Olugbo used to be the Obawinrin of Ife, during Moremi's time. Today, his cousin Obawinrin is the chief of the Igbo Authochtones of Ile Ife.

This Igbo/Yoruba palaver has got out of hand.

There is nothing wrong with what Oni said. This was what most people know Igbo for in those days.

It is not enough to understand and speak Yoruba. You must understand the meaning of AJE.

Yoruba would praise anybody that patronize them, be they Igbo Hausa Agoyi or Zulu. Some traders prefer a stranger, a kid or even a spirit to be their first customer in the day all because of AJE.

That Igbo were good customers should not have generated so much controversy. Oni is right, Igbo have the spirit of good customers. It does not negate the fact that they are patronizing Yoruba traders. People read too much out of little.

With all respect, I can understand the fear of those that do not want Free Trade. Someone even defeat his own argument with the protectionist tendencies of USA and China.

Please understand that China was allowed into Rich Country Club to spite Russia. China is now a threat and it cannot get away with those protectionist policies again.

In the case of USA, they are just mad that they are no longer the only producers of finished and pricy goods people love to buy based on their popular culture that has nothing to do with their expensive products. They live on designer products. The other source of income are Ammunitions and nuclear threats like other Western and Asia countries like India and now Pakistan. Iran is developing home-made ammunition while Nigeria sleeps and spend fortune acquiring ready-made arms.

The problem with Nigeria protecting its border is nothing but mirage, bunk and foolishness. All African countries have unfair and Free Trade (against them) with Western and Asian countries. Actually, many of these countries even go beyond Free Trade, they create FREE TRADE ZONES within their countries for any foreign country outside Africa.

So please understand we are already a free trade ZONE. All we are saying right now is to open your country to fellow African countries the way we open it to foreign countries outside Africa.

Trading within Africa is less than 20% or so while we trade 70% with countries outside Africa. This is the main purpose this Agreement is suppose to change.

Politics › Re: Why Nigeria Is Not Interested In African Agendas Like Free Trade Deal by googi: 2:00pm On Apr 01, 2019
There are many reasons Nigeria is leery of signing that agreement we participated in negotiating.

Take oil, cement, textile and rice for examples.

Each are easily smuggled in and out of Nigeria without Free Trade. Imagine with Free Trade?

Yet, without Free Trade within African countries, Africa will sink!

Our problem with Free Trade is man-made out of greed and profit without production.

Think about how our raw and finished oil is cheaper or sold for profit in neighboring countries. Why is cement cheaper outside?

As for electricity or power, Dagote or Ibeto can create their own infrastructure in East and West African countries and still sell cement cheaper there and make profit. But more profit can be made in Nigeria.

Rice can be easily smuggled into Nigeria cheaper than local rice production because Nigerian farmers want the same or more profit. The same is true for textile. This is how we kill ours.

We prefer imported or smuggled wheat for bread than cassava bread.

Solution - enforce Custom law and lawlessness that no other country in the world would tolerate.

Do not fool yourselves. Most imports are done by Igbo, most bankers behind imports are Yoruba and most forex dealers are Hausa.

Greed, conspicuous and ostentatious announcement of vanity on social media is cancer eating moral economy of Nigeria.

Clean house and sign the damn Free Trade.

While I agree with you because of our polygamous culture and the instincts of serial monogamists, it seems you have never met women that have sex without emotions.

It is not even just an exception. Someone said men are bad women are wicked. A cheating woman is dangerous for fear of being caught. But we have moved past that stage. There are women that if their men do not look the other way while they cheat needlessly, they would leave him.

But most of these men know what they are getting from day one. They just want to be blind.

My brother, also think about women that almost die in their husband homes and refuse to leave him. I think you are too heavy in favor of men. But you certainly right on many points.

Health › Re: 10 Causes Of Mouth Odour by googi: 3:54pm On Mar 26, 2019
The good part is that the education here is very useful and important for your health.

Your first attention must be oral health. Visit dentist once a year even if you think you are alright. Our parents are very strict on oral health for good reason and from experience into old age.

The bad news is that as you get older, your gum gets weaker from abuse of younger days. Africans like big meat and suck bones damaging the gum.

Simply cut the same amount of meat into pieces on the plate and as you get older, stay away from bones.

Hilitosis and 2nonenel (old age smell) can be prevented and reduced in old age by being extra cautious and paying more attention to our body.

Your Nigerian school girls discover that African walnut prevent bad breath. Chinese scientists discover persimmon fruit to prevent old age smell.

Bottom line clean and brush up more often or before you go to bed and when you get up in the morning. Some mouthwash like listerin after brushing your teeth. I am not sure how effective cola and bitter cola are but our parents use them. So is bitter leave which has many medicinal use.

The op is right, bad odor destroy relationships without your love ones telling you.

This is why I spend so much time on it.

Jihad Threat:Is Obasanjo's Administration Anti-Islam?

By

Rev Dr. Danjuma Byang

shekinahjos@yahoo.co.uk

Muslim leaders in Nigeriaunder the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and Jama’atu Nasril Islamarose from their meeting in Kaduna recently to declare a jihad against theObasanjo administration for marginalizing Muslims in Nigeria. The threatwas not taken lightly by the Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji AhmedMohammed Makarfi (himself a Muslim), who immediately deployed soldiers toall strategic areas of the state capital to forestall any eventuality.

There have been manyexpletives by Muslim leaders on their claims of Muslim marginalization byObasanjo since the meeting through publications and actual meetings withthe President by some Muslim leaders led by the Sultan of Sokoto, AlhajiMohammadu Maccido on one occasion and by the Emir of Kano Alhaji AdoBayero on another. The Sultan even claimed at one of the meetings that herepresented Muslims who constituted 65% of the Nigerian population!

While many peace-lovingNigerians ruminate on the implications of the call for jihad by Muslimleaders they wonder if it is true that President Obasanjo and hisadministration has indeed marginalized Muslims in Nigeria. How true isthis claim? How can Muslims who sang the praise of Obasanjo only a coupleof months ago for the unpopular, and some would even say, illegaldeclaration of the state of emergency on the Plateau and the humiliatingsuspension of Governor Joshua Dariye, not to mention the recent unilateraland arbitrary mortgage of Nigeria’s economy and future to the Arabs byNigeria becoming a member of the Islamic Development Bank, turn aroundtoday to say that they are being marginalized? Their antics are veryclear. They succeede d to “arm twist” Obasanjo to declare a state ofemergency on the Plateau through similar threats, and since the strategyworked like a magic wand then why can’t they try the same strategy now?

PORT HARCOURT— FORMER President Olusegun Obasanjo has been conferred with the award, “Preserver of Nigeria Unity in Diversity,” by an eminent Ijaw body, Ijaw Strategic Group.

Making the presentation at the Hilltop residence of the former President in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Executive Secretary of the body, Prince Patani, highlighted the significant contributions of the former President to the stability of the country.

He recalled that it was the former President who made it possible for President Goodluck Jonathan to become first democratic Vice-President from the South-South region, adding that the support of Obasanjo further contributed largely to Jonathan’s emergence as President.

He added that Jonathan’s presidency had deepened the unity of the country, as the minority now have a sense of belonging in project Nigeria.

The group recalled effort of the former President at tackling the challenges of underdevelopment in the Niger Delta region with the creation of an interventionist agency, the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.

“Former President Obasanjo symbolises unity in this country. He deserves to be honoured. And, this was why we came to confer this on him. We will host him again in the Niger Delta region soon,” Patani said.

The former President, who thanked the group for the award, said he was just a vessel used by the almighty God to promote national unity

There used to be a time we wondered if Minority can ever become President.

This same Obasajo they used to call detribalised Nigerian brought Igbo out of wilderness since the War and gave them powerful positions: Governor of Central Bank, Minister of Finance, head of Police, Army etc.

More important, this Yoruba man brought a smaller minority and made him the Vice-President. Other Yoruba called for his immediate succession of Yar'Adua.

Jonathan what did you do for Niger Delta? After two years as Vice and six years as President, Niger Delta is still environmental disaster. Even poor Fisher men cannot eat.
