The consequence of the Canadians people actions is what they are actually reaping. The problem with us here in Nigeria is that both the government and the people are problematic. No miracle is happening in Canada. People pay taxes as an when due. Government officials carried out their responsibility accordingly. There are many reasons why their success stories is palatable.
Here in Nigeria, we are all cutting corners in every way. Government officials are rogues. The man on the street is a major rogues than the man in government. Everything about us here is for cheating. We are all to blame in this country. |

Politics › Re: Boko Haram: Shekau Ready To Surrender - Military Says by gotnel: 11:54am On Apr 21, 2020 |
EmekaMD: Brutai and his men have been fighting Bokoharam for many years without any traceable improvements.
Chad soldiers pushed one major offensive and Bokoharam got dismantled. Then Brutai immediately relocated to NE. And today Shekarau wants to surrender, something that wasn't foreseeable until now.
My verdict is..
1. Chadian army has disbanded and weakened Bokoharam, and so Shekarau is at the verge of being captured. And his capture would exposed many grey areas including the sponsors to Bokoharam. So Brutai quickly goes in to do the capturing himself and make sure all that needed to be concealed are not exposed .
2. Another option is they'd have Shekarau turn himself in and be given first class treatment and eventually released as a repentant. We've seen lots of these already.
3. Worst case scenario he'd pretend Shekarau wants to surrender, and orders his soldiers to cease fire for negotiations. This would offer Shekarau more breathing space to recuperate and reorganize again. After all Bokoharam is a business venture Brutai and the elite north would never want to lose.
If you think I'm being pessimistic wait till time proves me wrong All these options as you line them here are possible. I am thinking that something is missing in the boko haram support base. A very powerful link between boko haram fighters , their financial and logistics support system is missing. This is the reason why Chadian troops was able to decapitated them . And Nigerian armed forces are behaving bolder than necessary. |
Travel › Re: COVID-19: Onyeama Says Evacuation Of Nigerians Abroad Starts Next Week by gotnel: 7:56am On Apr 21, 2020 |
makewetalk2: They will eventually run away from Nigeria after the coronavirus storm calms. The way they say these things as if things are better in Nigeria. What the government should be doing is stamping her foot on the ground against the indiscriminate treatment of Nigerians abroad. Not all about repatriation but building a face for Nigerians. The US consulate has issued a warning to all African-Americans not to go to China and cited the discrimination against blacks in China. The Nigerian consulate is docile and disposable. Anything Nigerian abroad is a magnet of cancer.
I keep saying it, at this point in time, men should be put to work. We need hospitals, we need infrastructures. People should be camped and given opportunities. If the operation in the Oil and Gas has is not halted, then you cannot shut down the economy of Nigeria when the majority of Nigerians are daily earners. Nigerian does not have more cases or deaths than the US but the US is opening, Italy is opening for business. Nigeria just shut everything down as if the economy is self-sustaining. People are poor. A country with a huge margin of disparity between the rich and the poor cannot shut down suddenly. There should be plans and arrangements. Buhari sits down in his Aso rock waiting for countries in the west to discover a vaccine to treat the people over which he presides. What happened to our virologist? How about our research centers? Is it not time to step up our game? The so-called treatment for this virus could be in the home of a herbalist right now. Why aren't we using our resources to the fullest? Chinese brought Tianshi and all those herbal drugs and called them supplements and Nigerians were stupidly buying it. This are the same herbs that you spit on when you go to your villages. Why is the government not using our herbs to full use? Why wait for westerners to breastfeed us? Those fools who saved their money in offshore accounts might just be disappointed soon.
Nigerians do not have hospitals. If you go to government hospitals, you will faint. I went there some years ago and pretended to be sick. I saw things that humans never saw on camera. The doctors show up at 10 am - 11 am and at noon to 2 pm they are out. patients rolling on the floor etc. No X-ray machines, no blood testing machine (I mean I have this in my own house), when you have to go to do an X-ray, then go to a private specialist to translate the x-ray reading... As a health professional, I spit on the Nigerian health sector.
Speak up now for the government to create a stimulus plan because crime will be like it had never been. Some Nigerians with their servitude attitude. The crime rate will be absolutely unprecedented after this "stay home". People have bills to pay in May. Buhari should have asked Landlords to relax on rents for some months. The government should have consulted all registered businesses. The government should have enforced all top companies to pay their workers' salaries. Buhari should have consulted all state governments to reach out to the grassroots representatives to provide sustenance for daily earners.
Nothing stops the state government from liaising with bakeries to provide bread for people and have some people deliver it to homes. By this, the government can get concretized data.
I am very saddened that a Nigerian will give a fellow Nigerian indomie as relief in this period. Indomie ?? What will that do to an adult male? I saw a family given two sachets of Indomie. wonders!!
Some people have a box of indomie for the entire occupants of a 6 flats building. This is sheer evil. Wickedness at its prime. God bless you. This our country is a major case study in institutional failure. No sector of our entire system is working. All our education in cambridge, Harvard, oxford and any other leading universities around the world are meaningless. Outside Nigeria, you find Nigerians performing wonders. But here in Nigeria, the bugs of lackadaisical attitude, pride and failure become the norm. Where we suppose to look inward and provide solutions to our problems, we wait for the western world. Our forefathers are better than our generation in the aspects of discovery of mental and intellectual property. This is even without them been educated in the western way. We are too dependent on oyinbo's at the detriment of our own talent. There is nothing stopping Nigeria to make available for the whole world, the cure for Corona virus. This is if we combine our heritage in herbal remedies with the western medicine and pharmaceutical education we have aquares around the world all these years. Here we are waiting for a certain vaccine that we don't know the agenda of the people behind it. Ordinary preparations for the evacuation of our stranded citizens is becoming a very herculean task to achieve. Nothing is more showing that this country is being governed without the people as the primary reason for government than this season of lockdown. Palliative support becomes so difficult to implement. Testing for the virus infection is so slow that other smaller countries in Africa are ahead of Nigeria in numbers of people tested already. Nothing is working in this country anymore. People in government are just making money for themselves and their cronies. |

Human proposed, God almighty disposed. When the present cabinet was constituted, Buhari or Kyari made a decision on all correspondence to the office of the president. All ministers and head of government departments and agencies must submit their memos, proposals and all messages to the president to Kyari for onward delivery to Mr. President. Kyari with all his demi god mightiness became the defacto ruler of Nigeria. Everything was done without the thought of death as a factor that comes in at anytime. Permutations for 2023 presidential election was the most talked about issues before Corona virus took the shine off politics. Now a great example of how man is a pencil in the hands of the creator has really play out. Be careful, be prepared. |

Some of Gov. Nyesom Wike's Comments during His COVID-19 Press Briefing today.
- I have come and will go one day but while I remain, I will ensure the lives of the People of Rivers State is Protected. I am a "Boy" to the people of Rivers State and not anyone outside the State.
-You can fly, I can not stop you from doing so but when you land, do not enter my territory. The roads were constructed by Rivers State Government.
-You don't talk law on Pages of Newspaper, you talk law in the Court and we're prepared. A Certain minister sat somewhere issuing order to me, let him come and release the people in our custody that violated the law.
- I am not one of those Governors who fly to Abuja every now and then to look for favours. COVID-19 has come, let everyone stay in his state and spend money.
-Any Company operating in Rivers State that does not assist the State in the fight against COVID-19 will hear from Rivers State. I don't go to them to beg for anything, I have not collected anything from them and so, I can stand firm and make a decision.
- We are not those State where a Governor receives 28million naira and snap pictures with it. In Rivers State, we don't collect Widow's Mite. You make money here, it is our entitlement. Look for the COVID-19 task force account and make your donations there. There are poor people who still have Pride and Integrity.
- I won you in 2015, I won in 2019, how many times do you want me to win you?
- The only opposition party in Rivers State is SDP who won a seat in the House of Assembly. How can someone from a party who cannot produce a single Candidate just within the party to stand for an election come out to talk about how to run a State? Go and put your house in order.
- (to press men) Most of you don't like us, you eat our food but we know the interest you represent. Write your reports well, if you don't write well, Corona Virus will catch you. To God almighty be the glory. We need this type of action to test run our federation system. Abuja need some kind of challenges like this. If true federalism is to come to reality, governors must take responsibility. Wike is on the road to proof something that really needs to be proved. THE BEGINNING OF THE JOURNEY TO REAL FEDERALISM. |

Politics is involved with the way Nigerian Armed forces is being runs. We need the political will to change the situation around. We need to know that, our money is going through this boko haram fight to private army generals pockets instead of procuring military hardware and using the money for logistics. We need to know that the military commanders are extremely enjoying sacrificing the troops mainly from the southern part of Nigeria to the boko haram fight. Many things are not really right. If the Chadian government will not mind, they should go ahead and round up the whole of boko haram fighters and logistics and make sure they clean up the Bush once and for all . freesoul12: Ask a girl her choice of marriage partner, watch her list out the features of a non living thing.
Many will tell you they need a rich, handsome, tall, out spoken, caring gentleman. And in other not to sound canal, they will now add God fearing.
Many ladies will not accept a poor guy for dating let alone for marriage.
But the case was different for this particular girl, that said yes to her boyfriend who is a bricklayer.
This pictures has raised numerous objection from people, some we're of the view that the guy is broke and can't take care of the guy.
Many were of the view that the girl might be the saviour the guy needs for financial breakthrough.
The main thing is having a man that has a future and is hardworking, he will definitely make it, just a little time and understanding from the partner.
This picture has proven that many are actually after love, not the money or material things. Who said that a man who is making building blocks is not a potential rich man? Our prayers should be that whatever work we are engaged in doing, Almighty God should bless it. Our problems here is that we values a graduate with degree who is earning 50k as a salary at the end of every month than a field worker who is earning around 100k from his hustling every month. The secret of being wealthy is to know how to make money and manage it accordingly. So, nobody should look down on a man who is dealing on building blocks as a business. It's a great example of taking responsibility as an entrepreneur. |
