I will advise everybody to check career section of your intended course in the university of interest. It helps you make a better choice of school to finally settle for. Like that guy that asked question between choosing Freiberg and Aachen university for Msc in Geoscience. If he looked at the career section of Aachen he would be impressed and would have chosen Aachen without blinking an eye. Now I know part of the reason they are ranked well in the world. Dont only apply to schools, take time to check the career section and know if the school actually cares for your employability by creating adequate medium for that 3 Likes |

A response to someone on how to get job after Msc in Germany These are the following points, I think can help you: German: You should have a good knowledge of German, you should be able to hold a normal conversation in German and also write a little bit in it. Internships: After coming here in Germany, you should do some Internships or get some technical exposure. It will help you get to know how things work here in Germany. Programming skills: You should have good hold on atleast one language of programming. Here almost everyone knows one language pretty well. Culture: Invest your time a little bit in understanding the German culture and try to mingle with Germans. You need to approach them. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Philfit: very nice information. like how many percent is income tax because from data in wikipedia, I am seeing 47.475% (45% income tax + 5.5% solidarity surcharge based on the total tax bill) working with the data above if someone earns 39,000 euro in a year, his income after tax should be 18513 Euros. from research also, it takes 700 euro to live in Germany if you are conservative. 700x12 = 8400 euros in a year. Then 18,513 euros minus 8400 euros leaves you with 10,113 euros per annum Now lets convert the income to naira 10,113 x 400 euro = #4,045,200 4,045,200 divided by 12 = #337,100 profit every month. with the above mathematical analysis, one can deduce that for a fresh MSc graduate, you are sure of atleast #300,000 income every month after tax and bills 13 Likes 4 Shares |

Eldeee: Thanks so much Eldee, you are just like an Elder in this forum no wonder your name is Eldeee. I really appreciate. I emailed them and confirmed the admission and to clear my curiosity, I told the lady that I no too hold money and asked if I can be allowed to pay in instalments and also get scholarship. she replied within 5mins Hello, The Tuition fees of 1.500€ have to be paid before lectures start after your arrival here in Karlsruhe. They can also be paid in installments. You have to write a simple request for that, specifying in which month you will be able to pay what amount of money. Until January 1st, the whole amount has to be paid! If not, you will not be accepted for the second semester. For scholarships, please check at the website of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service): https://www.daad.de/en/search/?q= After started your studies, you can also apply for scholarships at the University, for example Deutschlandstipendium or Baden-Württemberg-Stipendium. 1 Like |

@Eldee, Guten Tag Herr, This is what I just received from Karlshure university of Applied Sciences, I don't understand what they mean here The acceptance is CONDITIONAL and requires you to hand proof of 6 credits in GIS at academic level. Dear Student, Enclosed you will find a copy of the acceptance letter. Please use this to start your visa application process as quickly as possible, the original acceptance letter is on its way to you by post. Note: The acceptance is CONDITIONAL and requires you to hand proof of 6 credits in GIS at academic level. Please check if the postal address given on the letter is correct and inform us of any changes in your postal address. Should you have questions concerning the conditions for admission please contact directly Prof. ------- There is a tuition fee of 1,500 euros per semester for international students. Also, there are administrative and student service fees of 160 Euro in total per semester, which cannot be waived. Living costs in Karlsruhe are approx. 700 Euro per month. Applicants for student visa at the embassy will need to provide financial proof. Mikaelson21: If it's 3.0 in an entire section and in a four year course then the highest possible grade you can make is second class upper unless you can make 5.0 in all the remaining sections to make the lowest possible first-class (4.50) which is impossible to you. Now, even to make that second class upper which is the highest projected grade for your current point, you really need to work very very hard to stand a chance. As a matter of fact, you need to make at least 3.7 GP in all the remaining three sections to stand any chance of making second class upper which is not easy to get especially for someone who got 3.0 in a section. If you make 3.0 in any other section, then wave goodbye to second class upper division and embrace second class lower. That's just the raw truth |

Shengfu: NYSC certificate is not needed for your MSc in Germany but NYSC certificate or exemption letter is needed to get government work in Nigeria. So if you intend to get government job in Nigeria, then finish your NYSC first but if you have no plan of working in Nigeria, aplly for your MSc and leave 2 Likes |

Congratulations Denizsmart. Graduating with first class in Nigerian public school ain't a child's play. I will advise you to go for your masters in a good country. If you don't have the fund, seek for scholarships. You will surely get one with your excellent result. Even me wey dey type this wey manage to graduate with 3.55 has already applied to 8 universities abroad and by God's grace will leave the country later this year. 3 Likes |
