Akell: Were you able to get the 10W-30 in the market? After searching for it in vain, I settled for the Total 20W-50 The only place I found it, was I think was more than times 5 the price of your normal Total 20W-50 oil, I jus waka pass . Grades of oil within that range are normally expensive. |

TrebleChamp: Does this mean i am safe with my oando sae 40? Cos thermocool actually recommended the 20W50 for the tec Bobo, but i friend told me to buy the sae 40 instead and it's been good so far. Just want to know if it won't have any effect on my gen in future.... You should try and use what's recommended by the manufacturer, but did they actually recommend 20W-50? Mine na 10W-30 oo. |

michealekene: E be like always the Tec nor dey select oil, ..the attached oil came with mine, and I noticed it's 20W50. Can I go ahead with it? The problem is, I don't know where to buy this exact oil wlonce it finishes. And I dont want to start changing oil. But even if I do, I will still want 20W50 oil The issue of oil na matter for another day abeg. Even Thermocool recommended 10W-30 oil but ended up giving out 20W-50 oil with their generators. If money is not an issue, the recommended 10W-30 is the best, otherwise, we can manage the SAE 40 and 20W-50 from Total, Mobil and some other good brands. There's a thread on nairaland on oil in the auto section I think. |

lovelybugs: Hello, good evening. I got the redmi note 9 last month from jumia and so far I've been enjoying the phone. The issue I'm having is that anytime I open the camera app to take an image, it sometimes hangs. Like I'll take an image and the app freezes. I've downloaded some other camera apps and I don't have this same problem. I've restarted my phone multiple times and even updated the system apps. Please is there any solution?
I've also cleared the cache and all the data multiple times but there's been no improvement. It gets even worse when I try to take portrait shots Have you updated your phone to the latest version? Screenshot your about phone let's see. |

It's showing 8 hours until full when plugged in. This is a phone that normally charges fully within 2 hours max. Help! Your USB cord needs replacement. |

ringi82: As long as the load is not more than 3.5kva, the lutian gen is good to go. I just want a relatively affordable gen at a reasonable price that can conviniently load a 1.5hp normal ac. Even if its only the ac I'm going to run. The heat for my area na die. The heat na everywhere oooo. Regarding your purchase, let's hope for the best. |

ringi82: You may be right. But the lutian LT3900 gen rated at 3.8kw will conviniently power a 1.5hp ac including the hustler max 3.5kva with other loads. Some of these sites sef! Kva and Kw are not the same thing. The Lutian is 3.8kva(3040W) max, the Thermocool hustler Max is 4.75kva(3800W) max. There's almost an 800W between them, don't use the chart of the Thermocool to assume for the Lutian.

tobintin:
How will starting watts not be high? using the Hisense above of 1200W how will starting watts not reach 2000 - 2500watts. and he forgets the compressor will always be asking for this intermittently without telling you (I am about to ask o ). They will power ac first and plug other appliances of 500watts (including your freezer/fridge- some will even have tokunbo version). and now at intervals the ac and fridge/freezer will start/stop. After a few years gen will start to loose compression power, leak oil from gasket areas... we will then be blaming quality forgetting that lack of knowledge to manage the asset contributed to the early demise of the investment (generator). This is the reason why Inverter AC is advised against the non inverter type. The intermittent off and on of the non inverter type is the issue. |
Technology Market › Re: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by Gptech(m): 2:13pm On May 21, 2021 |
suco01: Non inverter. Well, it's possible the starting watt is not very high. Before my neighbour started having issues with his generator, it was able to run his Thermocool AC better than than his Polystar, both of them are 1.5Hp. With time it couldn't even power up the Polystar. |

suco01: Some people ON their generator and ON all the electronic appliances at a go which is not advisable, this will cause a serious wear and tear Many people are guilty of this, truth is many are not aware. Some will tell you say 'na today I dey use generator?' |

suco01: A living testimony of spg3000es 2.5kw rated output and 2.8kw max output running hisense 1.5Hp AC without other load and it's doing fine. Inverter or non inverter? Well, nothing do you bro. |
Technology Market › Re: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by Gptech(m): 2:01pm On May 21, 2021 |
suco01: With other load. That justify 3.5kva to power 1.5hp AC AC. When you say it can't power is wrong. I still stand to be corrected I hope you know the issue with ACs is with the starting power and not the running? If your generator for instance has say 3000/2700 starting/running watt and you want to use it with an AC with 2900/1500 starting /running watts together with other appliances with a combined power of 1000w, you can achieve this by turning on the AC first before turning on the other appliances. The implication is by doing this, the AC power is now 1500W+1000W from the other appliances =2500W. Since 2500 is less that 2700, there's no issue. If you turn on the other appliances first before turning on the generator, it means total load for the generator to power=1000+2900=3900W. This is way above the generator's capacity. This is the reason it's advised to to load the most powerful appliances before the less powerful ones. This long epistle explains why Thermocool is correct with their chart of 3.75kva generator for instance powering a 1.5hp AC with other loads. |
