Politics › Re: See What Would Have Happened If Buhari Wanted Tinubu As Successor. by gr8ofnnetwork(m): 7:47pm On Jun 01, 2022 |
Penguin2: From booting Oshiomole out of APC chairmanship to handing Buni the leadership of the party to using consensus to elect the new leadership of the party till this moment that the party convention is in a few days, any sincere political watcher would agree that the activities of the party seem to have always gone against the interest of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the self acclaimed National Leader of the party.
And you would want to ask why?
And the answer is simple…
Both Buhari, his cabal and some northern and southern elements within the party, do not want to see Tinubu succeed Buhari; and he never will.
If Buhari was sympathetic to Tinubu’s interest and ambition, he would have found a way to ensure Oshiomole retained his sit. Or, if they wanted to dodge legal implications involved in Oshiomole retaining his sit, then a Tinubu man would have been appointed the party’s caretaker chairman and when eventually the congress happened, another of Tinubu’s man would have been duly elected as chairman.
The implication is that by now, what APC members will be going to convention to do would be to crown Tinubu and bestow legality to his candidacy after which they would start shopping for the best running mate for him if it’s not already decided.
If you are a Tinubu supporter, ask yourself, why all these schemings and dilly dallying trying to frustrate Tinubu and his men if Tinubu was Buhari’s choice?
Why is Buhari soliciting the support of the governors to choose his successor if he wanted Tinubu? Knowing fully well that if the party primaries is allowed to hold, no aspirant will defeat Tinubu. Why not allow the primaries to hold and let Tinubu have his way?
All these are simple arithmetics and logic that are very much open for anyone with functional brains to grasp but I think most Tinubu supporters are innocent of that; and that’s why they keep hoping against hope.
Penguin is a bird of reason just serving the preamble of the vawulence that would follow Tinubu’s monumental breakfast when Buhari would name his man.

Honourable1901: Guys I don't know if I'm the only that have this thinking, of buhari sinking our our democracy, instead of consolidating it.
First,he returned the electoral act for an amendment on direct primaries, with an explanation that it's expensive. This same direct primaries he called expensive was used to elect Abiola in 1993,was used to remove ambode in 2019,was used to in osun for oyetola second term primaries.Yet he comes out to tell us it's expensive ..you know why?
As long as every party allows it's members and not delegates ,to decide thier party flag bearers the leaders will be chickened out.The beautiful thing of this direct primaries is that it allow all everybody in the party to decide the party's fate.
Now PDP will flag a mediocre,APC will flag another danger we as citizens will be left to decide who is a lesser danger and a better mediocre among them, when we can push them out from the primaries. Same primaries all aspirants is ready to spends 100 of millions in dollars to win . Honestly, for Nigeria to grow politically, two things are indispensable: 1) DIRECT PRIMARIES across board. 2) Party Finance: All Registered members to pay a unified party DUES. |

Saifullah01: I am not here to discuss the incident of her death, but rather the comment that triggered it. So if you are unable to deconstruct and analyse issues without sentiments, this is not for you.
Below is a translation of what she said verbatim. I have removedthe expletives she used:
.
Like I said the essence is to analyse what she said. One wonders, was she deliberately trying to start a religious crisis thinking it wouldn't go beyond the usual social media banter against Muslims?
I ask this because for some one trying to stop religious posts in a chat group do you start by saying "Holy ghost fire"? This is self contradiction. Secondly, after making your point on not posting religious materials in the chat, why on earth did she had to insult the prophet (peace be upon him)
It is a fact that Muslims revere the Prophets of Allah more than anything in this world, and the prophet of Islam occupies a special place in their heart.
It is also a fact that although ignorant people have over time and in different places used bad words against the prophet (PBUH), no Muslim worth the name dear mention great prophets like Moses, Ezekiel etc without saying "peace be upon them or "Alaihim Salaam" or AS, not to think of using bad speech against them
So it is important to state that I condemn the act of taking laws into one's hand, but also condemn any form of instigation and inciting speech against anyone, Muslims and non Muslims alike Na your type dey give Bokoboys and FHerdsmen the oxygen to breathe because of your programmed motivation. Apart from the Yoruba Muslims, the rest of you are supposed to have your own Shariah Republic so you can kill anybody and everybody for assault against your God. ArewaNorth: After months of speculation, Governor Godwin Emefiele of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) joined the 2023 Presidential race, obtaining the forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Prior to Friday, the CBN governor neither confirmed nor denied his interest in succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari.
However, there have been calls on him to step down because of the position that he holds.
The discussion has generated mixed reactions. To take the conversation further, Daily Trust checked the CBN Act.
According to the Act,

(a) a member of any Federal or State legislative house; or
(b) a Director, officer or employee of any bank licensed under the Banks and Other Financial Institutions Act.

(a) becomes of unsound mind or, owing to ill health, is incapable of carrying out his duties;
(b) is convicted… (d) is disqualified or suspended from practicing his profession in Nigeria by order of a competent authority made in respect of him personally: (e) becomes
(0)
bankrupt;
removed by the President: Provided that the removal of the Governor shall be supported by two-thirds majority of the Senate praying that he be so removed.
RESIGNATION
The acts states that the Governor or any Deputy Governor may resign his office by giving at least three months’ notice in writing to the President of his intention to do so and any Director may similarly resign by giving at least one month’s notice in writing to the President of his intention to do so.
It adds that if the Governor, any Deputy Governor of Director of the Bank dies, resigns or otherwise vacates his office before the expiry of the term for which he has been appointed, there shall be appointed a fit and proper person to take his place on the Board for the unexpired period of the term of appointment in the first instance.

As Lagos AC, ACN, have been respecting Tinubu's wish so will northern APC and the rest allow PMB's candidates scale through. Let's see the magic or stunt Tinubu will pull against PMB's candidate. Be it indirect, direct or consensus PMB influence will determine who gets the ticket. You think politicians are fools too. The question is, what will be the gain of respecting Buhari that have little or no regard to anybody while in power? The average politician will rather float with Tinubu/Orji Kalu/Rochas/?Amaechi because of the high chances of getting something in return than Buhari/Osibanjo whose prospects after presidency is absolutely zero. Nigeria should boycott 2023 election and demand for restructuring of the country we need a new constitution, a new constitution that will make both rich's and poor's an equal a constitution that will allow Nigerians to have say in their own country the 1999 constitution that giving access to politicians to steal public funds must dump.
Do you think Nigeria will get better like this? Both APC and PDP are thief no iota of truths from this useless over feeding called Nigerian politicians.
Let us discuss their policy PDP an opposition party selling their presidential nomination form at 40m governor 21m house of assembly 500k house of rep 2m senate 3m.
APC the most useless organization set up by crooked people the party that promised that they are on mission to rescue Nigeria from failing. This party supposed to accommodate Nigerians but from all indications the party is for rich people.
Apc presidential nomination at 100m governor 50m senate 20m house of rep at 10m state house 2m. Tell me how not too young can work here? This people are just fooling us .They turned politics to a business.
Someone that earns a legitimacy money will never join Nigeria politics Unequivocally say none of this politicians earn legitimacy money. Someone that earns legitimacy money will never dabble to this.
Someone that spent billions to get a position you shouldn't expect much from him because he will recover his money back it's a business and the expectation of all business people is to make profit. Another product of questionable educational system. Thanks |
