Politics / Re: Olusegun Obasanjo's Legacy by gr8t(m): 6:15pm On Jun 17, 2007
If at the age of 47yrs Nigeria cannot celebrate one Legend that has come then the peoples mind is still very doom. Thanks to the guys who have pointed but the good and the bad of the man.
It is important to note that you cannot change a nation beyound the level of their thinking! Even a Jesus Christ has come to rule in Nigeria from 1999-2007, I don't think people who have believed He is a legend until after 2000 years.
The best way we can become something is by celebrating the little that God gave us. He gave man who I think worked and ways busy trying to bring about a new nation who's major floor was inability to overcome the power problem, yet he initiated a move toward that.
If we celebrate him as a Legend especially for leaving when he is support to forgetting is mistakes.
The man is a Legend.
Two times, he was involved in power change and he at both time exchange power even though at both occasion the processes where far from perfect. But, even here in the Western World it is never perfect.
If all you have listed above is true. The man should be celebrated.
All I ask is that leaders look at his positives and negative and learn lessons not to make same mistakes but improve on his legacies and move the country further farward from where Obasanjo stop.
Sports / Re: Halleluyah: Mikel Obi Joins Chelsea! by gr8t(m): 11:39pm On Jun 03, 2007
The boy is good1 He has a good intention to ne there for his country but like many other there greatest fear and threat is when they play for the national side it is impossible to do it with total commitment.
The are scared of injuries which the national side will not do anyting about. sometime some of the clubs bribe african players to injure another just to affect ehn in the cbub league game.
The pitches in Africa is another factor that even when nobody touches you you can twist your leg.
Not good enough escuses, but, African FA especially our country need to look more into the rerason why players are unwilling to play for them and try to handle it with respect and not threat.
One of those player that keeps playing abroad keeps their family and linage going, one injury can ruin that.
remember amokachi!!!

In the multitude of counsel there is safety but too much counsel will make use frustrated. Like I said before in my lenghtenned reply you probably may be refused again, but, what if you are not.

If really this topic is real to you. make use of the addtional information section and tell them what happenned before and give a constructive explanation not another lie. Then if they refuse you, the appeal will favour you.
If you are under 30 try make your application for working Holiday maker if you know you want to go and work. Be honest focus on it and you can have it.
I told you I was refused twice, that is after I have being traveling to the UK more than 10 times.
But over months of sorting out with them we corrected the error.

Be encouraged.

For those who are fighting! Stop fighting. Irish man I am not sure of too many Nigerians with an Irish Passport now, I know they have started giving it. But, if you have it that means i probably should come and apply because my name is still in that system since 2001 on work permit for 5 years. I worked in galway and someone is still using, yo know what I mean.
so let me know

You are just trying to tell us the details of your assylum application. But, that lies sells better in the between 1998-2000 in dublin. But now that lie will land you first in prison for few days and back to your vilage.
Travel / Re: Uk Visa Application (advice Needed) by gr8t(m): 8:10pm On May 29, 2007
Let them know before that you applied before and that it was refused because there were some irregularities on your the documents you presented.
There is a space in the form for additional information, there let them know the reason why their were there irregularities, like you were actually aided and adviced by a third party or just sit down and be more constructive as to the reason. in that space do accep[t the fault and plead with them.

You may infact before you submit your application draft a letter to the visa section telling them about the past and your intention, then, asking them what you can do now to make up for the past as you are genuinely repentant and that your circumstances has not changed. Ask if you can apply again.
Wait for their reply in most cases it will be just a usuall customer services response but it you are luckky an entry clearance officer might give an opinio.

Print out the response you receive from them 'cos they will tell you that you can apply again though they cannot garrantee the outcome. Include a copy of the response in your application and documents, then wait for the help of God

If they ever refuse you again it will not be based on the previous application and once you address the reason for the second refusal they will grant it. But, I don't pray they refuse you.

I once had an experince like that, but, in my case they were wrong, there were so many visas and stamps on my passports and they said some of them were forged. I had to iron it out in the space of month, went to court and the admit they were wrong.
Politics / Re: Is Obasanjo Nigeria's Best President? by gr8t(m): 7:38pm On May 29, 2007
The truth is that no other president has done better than he did.
Is is the best so far no doubt unless you are just a critics major only looking for fault and never sees good.
We need to be proud of him.
If every one comes in and just push the nation a little farward like he did, one day Nigeria will arrive. It's funny that past leaders before him could not push the nation farward.

Politics / Obasanjo Ex-president And An "hero"? by gr8t(m): 3:24pm On May 29, 2007
I really think Obasanjo was destined to rule Nigeria from heaven. It possibly could not have been a mistake for him to be the one handling over from military to civilian in the 70s and now from Civilian to civilian.
He is made possible what could have resulted in another west Africa UN ending war.
But is he really an "Hero"
Make your points clear with evidences
Politics / Re: Obasanjo Is Nigeria's Must Corrupt President by gr8t(m): 3:04pm On May 29, 2007
I agreed that the author of this topic is either unborn, very little or doom, deaf and blind before 1999.
The fact are there as dblock has quoted that there has being no previous leader in Nigeria even in Africa that has perform better than Obasanjo. i know you will mention Mandela- Yes Mandela was a hero because he won a battle.
Obasanjo is yet a greater here though not celebrated. without foreign presence lead Nigerian into her first democratically transition. Go to to Zimbabwe they will tell you.
Obasanjo started is the initiator of peace in West Africa where the whole world would have condemn to genocide.
However, Obasanjo is not a messiah, but, he has done what nobody gas ever done.
It is now easy and proud to say in the diaspora that I am a Nigerian, since the recently time of the administration.
I know what I am saying because I left Nigeria before 1999 and since then I returned at least twice in a year to Nigeria.
Even here in the western world there are still floors in leadership and the "white" are still begging for food, money and job.
Let's appreciate what we have now, that is the only way it can improve. don't wait till they Federal movement send you a cheque or repaint your house before you thank God that we are the only African nation that has taken this significant steps of reform, investment, without western presence, also the only African country whose dept no longer hold because of the impact of our leader in the G8 and his strenght of negotiation.
Obasanjo is Nigerian and west Africa HERO.

Politics / Re: Funsho Williams, PDP Lagos State Governor-to-be, Killed! by gr8t(m): 8:00pm On Jul 28, 2006
Just few days ago we read in punch that one of the Lagos governorship contender was hit by car driven by the driver of one of another politician who journeyed to the same occasion. The said man is seriously injured and the police are said to be investigating the matter.
This time around Funsho William, a healthy man was taken off the political scene and from the rat race just like that.
The feud between these politician will allow for more casualty if proper measure is not in place by the present administration of out law enforcement agency and the law makers.
The question is, can we on the forum disagree to agree in the next few days to find out;
WHO KILLED FUNSHO WILLIAMS?
Sports / Re: Halleluyah: Mikel Obi Joins Chelsea! by gr8t(m): 5:15pm On Jun 17, 2006
I think it is very worng for you to assume and over assume that Mikel's decision is wrong to be in Chelsea.
Assumption is the lowest level of knowledge.
You are on your own corner thinking a big coack like that just decided to pay so much money just for him to at the end of the day loan the player out.
There is something in Mikel that made the best clubs in England want him at all cost.
Don't fight over the issue, just stay cool and watch the next season.
I saw the guy recently and I;m sure we are all in for a big surprise.
The only thing is that don't over assume you know the wing he is going to play.

There seems to be alo of sensational posting on this topic now, I think there is a great season ahead of Arsenal and it's going to be so romantic I think.

By the grace of God! The 2006-2007 season will be the best every gunners has ever had, so much goal, fun, roamance, favour, luck, trouphies awards for Arsenal.
Henry will reach his goal of becoming the best player in the work this time around and the new boy Rosicky will show the world that we now what we are going!

There is no club that attrack so much of loyal fan in this would like Arsenal.

For all devoted gunners! This new season you expectation in life and in sport shall be granted.

I will make sure I am in the new stadium at least four times this season I promise.
Family / Re: Newlywed Husband Living In Wife's Parents' House by gr8t(m): 11:42am On Jun 12, 2006
To be realistic the issue is getting more confusing! The lady in question is my sister. They live at the moment in her parents in-law house in the same flat and there has being one problems or the other. To the point that the husband's mum seized the marriage certificate and and the children's birth certificates, saying in case the lady wants to divorce her son. But, the couple are doing well together not even thinking about seperation.
The were living fine on their own before he had a problem that drove them to that house.
My suggestion is! There is an open flat in our own house. My dad is late, and I live abroad though my mum and my brother her in another flat in the same compund, but, I don't think there is a problem becuase my brother is most time in school (Uni) outside LAgos and my mum is sometimes outside the countries to take care of her grand children too.
I told them to move in and use the money we all can raise for them to start something of their own on their own aquired land.
Business / Re: Kind Of Business To Do With 50,000 Naira by gr8t(m): 12:56pm On Jun 10, 2006
N50 000 is alot of money to turn you into a successful person if your will add patience to this advice.

Leave half of the money un touched while you take time to attend a free seminal on farming, either fish farming or snails. With about N10000 you can buld a ''vert'' that is a 12 by 4 wood construction and lay carpet in. with another N3 000 you can buy the fishes to ash.
But, make sure that before u start, get advice from a fish farmer that is still operating on a lower scale so that they will not bill you much for showing you how to go about things. If you can get it right you can turn that money tripple in three month and then do it on a larger scale. I have no advice for the snail but you can ask.
If you have any question call 08062462184, someone will advice you. do not give your money to anybody ooo.

Can A Man Live In His Wife Parent House After Marriege! In One Of Their Flats?

A young man is having problem with his parent over the issue of him moving into his wife's parent house. They had live in his own parent house for a while before renting their own apartment but now the seems to be having problems financially and my kinded advice is that they move into the flat offered by the wife's parent till they are able to sort themselves out!

Guys what do you think.
Religion / Re: Pastor Chris Floats Airline, TV Station & Fast Food Outlet by gr8t(m): 12:51pm On Jun 07, 2006
Be careful what you think people because it is bad thought that is affecting Africa till today!
The question you should ask is, if there is any money missing from the central bank or the national treasury that is traceable to pastor chris account. I have never met him but I am soo proud of his result in the past few year. I am part of big program planned in europe but the concept and the leadership demonstration of the pastor is something every african should be proud of.
I know very closely at least two tv station owners in europe, but, you can not compare it with what this guy runs from Africa.
He has worked on Himself, let's work on ourselfs. He is also working on people and it's showing and now he is affectng the society for good.
Is he the only pastor collecting 10%, how come he making positive impact with his. look at Benson Idahosa, the first christain University people talked about him but today record how many university are being our by private individuals and religious organisation.
You complain that the goverments are not doing anything, now leaders like Chris is doing things, yet, you are a critics. How else do you want African to come out of obscurity.
Think, think, think. There is probably something you can do with the little you are collecting too so that it will not count again you,
Most of what we abuse our pastors in africa for are what pastor's does with easy in the western world, wake up
This man has done everything he does excellently, let's give him a chance to do this, at least, I can fly his excellent airlines (if it will be excellent) to destinations in nigeria without be scared and at least eat his foods when I am in town without using flagil or agbo.
Go and look at Covenat University being ran by Oyedepo, people withdrawing their children from UK to attend the school somewhere in lagos.
Let great leader do it better than it's being done, then we all can follow them do great works to librate Africa.

Sports / Re: Halleluyah: Mikel Obi Joins Chelsea! by gr8t(m): 4:49pm On Jun 06, 2006
I think you are wrong to assume that becuase man United has got no mid fielder Mikel should have stayed there.
He is living in his long term dream, which will gear his aspiration to win a regular shirt, it however may not happen in one season, but remember he is only 19 and can meet up with you espected soonest. the might dinho was on the bench for some time before his star begin to shine and chelsea might not be the final bus stop for the boy. But the is the best time for him to be in cheasea and this will have a proportionate effect on the super eagle for good.
Politics / Re: Does IBB Has A Good Intention For Coming Back? by gr8t(m): 4:27pm On Jun 06, 2006
huummm! I thnk it is only the Almighty God that can stop IBB from becoming the next president of this nation, by the way he only stepped aside and if you watch, since he did that he has always being beside everything going on. His got almost everybody siting to make decision inside is agbada and some of them will rejoice if there phone ever rang and it is IBB on the other side! They know what that meand for them and their families.
IBB is the most intelligent of all the people in the whole of the political scene in this country. He is silent but is dangerous and his a danger about to happen.
The major person that I think understand his intentions very well is the same man everyone doesn't like his face anymore.
We need to just remind God to please once again visit this man call IBB like he did in the past with those who will not let the country progress.
Don't mistake his quietness for good intention, my main question and concern at this point is
Does IBB has a good intention for coming back?

Politics / Does IBB Has A Good Intention For Coming Back? by gr8t(m): 4:56pm On Jun 05, 2006
I asked myself a question everyday when I think about the nigeria political scene. What is the intention of the formal head of state for coming back? He has also been the most quiet in the ungoing saga. I'm afraid of is quiteness.

Politics / Re: Third Term Agenda <Vote, Comments> by gr8t(m): 3:26pm On Jun 05, 2006
Thank you Ashiwaju! I think the major problem the majority has is sight and that is why I said if we are not blind and deaf.
I am not here promoting Obasanjo neither I'm I interested in the cursed PDP which I believe is the major source of the present dilema in the country.
But, you have choosen to overlook reality and you are concentrating on uncertainty. Had you answer my questions you would have listened to yourself and provide a better response.
I would yet give you an assignment!
Has any goverment in the past invested like the present goverment in ensuring there is un-interrupted electricity in this country?
Do you know how many billions that has gone into the project of the hydro,  since 2002. ?
Do you you know that the present goverment as also found gas cool for electricity and has invested money on the project?
Do you even know or believe that un interrupted power supply at our reach in this country?
Assumption is the lowest level of knowledge, you assume the goverment has done nothing because you espected it to be done within days.
There is a laying of foundation in this country and all we need is to forget about the personalities at the top.
In the next 20 years this country will still have major projects to embark on in order for all your concern to be dealt with.
We have in the past had people that are not even aware of what to do not to talk of doing them.
I will support any interntion by any leader to ensure that the foundation is well layed and that power is not again given to the people that took down the drain, the people that deceived us of paying our debt, saying they paid N333 333 3333 3333 333 not knowing that all they did pay of was N33 333 333 333 the rest of about 300 trillion into their personal account.
Be careful what you think of this transition period!
Politics / Re: Third Term Agenda <Vote, Comments> by gr8t(m): 9:02pm On Jun 03, 2006
Show me any president since 1960 in Nigeria that has made a better contribution to the image of the country.

Tell me any other person that has work like one with a job distrcption in the country and has worked himself out to at least lay a good foundation for anything.

Show me under what admistration in this country has a forum be set for debate in order to reach a determination on matter.
Show me a director that has turned around a company that has being ruined nearly forty years and has done that in 8 year.
If the foundation be destroyed what can the righteous do.
OBJ is not neccessary the righteous but if we are not blind and deaf; we should see that he has being a lead that has never giving his leadership to faces or fences.
Third term I think is not a joker but an intention to at least make sure that the little foundation layed are standing and that the position is not again givien to those who sky rocketed the economy, made the naira from N1 to $2 into $1 into $145. Lets think and stop attacking the personality and start embrasing good initiatives.
