It's not a matter of more jobs coming. Who cares if u design incompetent 100 websites in one week. The issue is that 90% of webmasters in Nigeria are below the average. With what we are doing right now, we are still far from standing out in the international community. I mean I cant imagine a webmaster coding his html without h1 and p tags. It's unimaginable. Web design is more than adding text, images and colors and uploading to server using filezila. We must start thinking out of the box.

It's not true. Again, do you know the guy hosting the event? He may even be a pal of Zukerberg.

There is no big in pulling Mark Zukerberg to Nigeria. Moreover, the host may hav started planning this since past two years. I dont think it is this year that he sealed the arrangement for Mark's coming. Again, I know security will be very tight at the hotel where Mark will be lodged and the conference centre also.

All ur images didnt have alt description. Instead of wasting time writing keywords in the head section, which search engines dont recognize again for ranking, u should spend the time and describe ur images in alt. Again, ur meta name="keywords" content="..." is double.

It's more professional to reference ur css, images and links like this: http://www.vogueasooke.com/product.html,

The color sense is kind of poor.

<div class="heading">BEADS</div>, this doesnt make sense. You should have used h1 for semantic and styling purposes and more importantly for seo.

BEADS, ASO OKE and HANDFAN writeups should align left with those thumbnail images.

'Read More' link should hav some breathing space from the white container.

Your company name and admin mail written in green doesnt fit in at all. I know u want to proof that green is your company color, but u cant use it to spoil another's company color. Just put ur name in the dorminant color of the website, when one visits urs, he can then see ur own company color.

'Powered by:' doesnt sound good to me. Why not simply, 'Developed by:'

You used too many inline style. It's not professional.

The logo should be a link back to the home page. It's good for seo.

Your markups are not profesional at all. You were just adding text anyhow and using <br> to break them. No <h1 - h6> or <p> tags are found. This is unacceptable.

In the product page, u should use paragraph tag to write those texts for proper paragraphing.

Your gallery link name doesn't make sense. Imagine: prodgal.html. Why not, product-gallery.html. Descriptive urls help in seo.

There is no point having 'Home' and 'Back' buttons in the feedback.html since there are navigation links at the left.

Finally, a simple website as that is not even responsive. You can use css3 @media query to quickly achieve this.

Look for a key on your laptop or pc keyboard with this: 'Print Screen' or 'prt sc' written on it.
Just press it. Then go to photoshop or coreldraw, create a new document and just paste (ctrl+v) or go to edit menu and select paste from the options.

@OP, what is your discipline? Do u want to change career merely becos u were posted to serve in an ict department of a university? I have seen corpers that were posted to secondary school to teach, but they didnt immediately want to become teachers. Again, u really dont know what u mean by saying u want to be a computer programmer, networker, web designer and a blogger. These are four different areas and each of them is very demanding. You cant learn them within the period of ur service coupled with ur responsibilities there as a corper.

Here is my advice:
If you really want to abandon what u read in school to become a computer programmer, networker, web designer or blogger, I advice you to choose one. If u want to build a meaningful career, choose one and hone ur skill there.
1. If you choose to be a web designer, you may consider learning photoshop for the web, html, css and javascript.
2. If you choose to be a computer programmer, you may have to learn number 1 + php/mysql, python and c++ or java.
3. If you choose to be a networker, you may have to learn Cisco, which involves Routing & Switching, Network Design and Network Security.
4. If you choose to be a blogger, you may have to learn how to use or blogger.com, and you may have to learn some search engine optimization techniques, and how adsense works.

This is how desperate Nigerians like u are going about defrauding unsuspecting clients in the name of offering a web design or hosting services to them. Just look at urself. @OP, just try and get a gtb mastercard and use it to pay for web hosting abroad. I will never use all these shabby web hosting companies in Nigeria and Africa. I have been using siteground.com. Just try them and see what customer care means. Someone is always ready to chat with u even at 12midnight.

1. Your slider images are very heavy. Which software are you using? I guess Fireworks. Pls use Photoshop and always save using 'save for web and devices.' Your current image size is 516KB, but I resaved it using Photoshop 'Save for Web and Devices' and I got it 154KB.

2. Your image alts make no sense for search engine robots.

3. The color sense is very poor. And the text-shadow is very childish. Text-shadow is not always used by professional webmasters. When used, they have a way of implementing it subtly, so that it will look cool and matured.

4. The 'Contact Us' link is not on the same line with other links.

5. The layout is just the same all through. You just created one and started copying and pasting and changing the page links and contents. There should be some variations in the layouts of each page.

@OP, truely u can start with blogger.com and be writing ur blog posts there. Then bend down behind the scene and learn web development. When u ar ready and prepared, u can then migrate ur blog to ur custom url. U cant be two months old and be immediately trying to develop a dynamic website. Just make sure u hav mastered html and css at least 80%, then go into PHP and js. Take it one after the other. These things take some time.
