But here are points to know:
1. Make sure you know all the features the client want.
2. You need to know that facebook is more than php, mysql and jquery.
3. It will take more than one developer to create a facebook-like site.
4. Facebook is more robust than you think, it's not a piece of cake.
5. It will take months to create it.

Out of many ways, there are two ways you may want to start using:

@Greenmouse, am not spoiling anybody`s business. Check out myriads of ugly reports about web4Africa.
But after reading DualCore`s posts of Forum`s reviews of some supposed super web hosting companies, I now know that somehow people`s opinions and experiences can be biased especially on forums. Check out my comment on the last thread by one Activeman on Web4Africa. I actually said it`s wrong for him to rush here and tell us that Web4Africa is nothing to write home about, and then turn around asking mod to delete the thread. I have no issues with any web hosting company. I dont even know their ceos. What is worth doing is worth doing well.

@Yawatide, thank u. I think I have fixed that and I have checked it in all the five major browsers. FF, IE, SA, CH and OP and it works fine. When at the portfolio page, you can go back to the home page by clicking on the logo.

I like ur passion as reflected in the piece. Here is my advice, remove enterprise from the name. MyProva if branded well is enough to become a classic name. When I hear Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, Google, DropBox and Instagram, the names ring a bell of a brand to me. Again, remove the little pay off statement under the logo. Leave the logo witout obstruction. Just an advice. Well done.

U said u dont even go to church because u ar a computer geek. I wonder if u know computer more than Zukerberg but he has time for his God. U cant even boast of any application u hav developed that is been used Nationwide, yet u are living a secluded life in the name that u ar a computer geek. Here is my advice to u. Go to God and ask Him what He wants from your life. There is a reason why He created u and kept u alive till today. Do not allow false illusion to deceive u. There are computer geeks all over the world who attend church, honour invitations and live a clean social life.

I didnt say he must develop his idea all by himself alone. I didnt say he must go and learn all the languages. I said he must know at least a language and be able to know what is happening in the hood. A time will come that he may not have chance to code again, but yet he will not be unaware of what is happening in the coding department. For a start, he should be able to code. Mark coded the first facebook by himself.

Good you said that Seun had to learn coding. You cannot succeed in a project that has to do with coding 90% and 10% of front-end if the owner of the project dont know about coding. He MUST go and learn one language. Seun knows Python. Zukerberg knows PHP, Ajax and so on. Bill Gate knows some languages.

If you want the idea to die, get a web design guy to do it for you. But if you want to build something that will stand the test of time like, go learn web design and development. If you want to learn web design and you want to waste your money and end up getting nothing, go to NIIT and learn it. But if you want to learn web design and you dont want to waste your money and you want to get a solid training, here is my humbly advice to you:

1. Put the idea on hold and go learn webdesign yourself. Every idea that requires coding, the ceo of the idea must know about coding. If you wait for 4 to 6 months to get yourself ready, it's not a waste of time. I guess you want to make a statement through your site and not just to design a crappy social media networking site.

2. Do you have a MasterCard or do you know someone that has. Then go subscribe at lynda.com or udemy.com and learn web design and development from scratch to ninja level. It`s a video tutorial. They will teach from basic html to advanced php.

3. Get an e-book or hard copy book on html,css,javascript,php and mysql. Html and css are simple. You can master them in one month. You can have a hold on js, php and mysql under 4 to 5 months.

4. Then start building something and learn from building. Go to forums and submit your site for critique. Then as the website becomes more complex, you can hire someone to be doing a certain part while you focus in another part. I mean you will need a team of developers.

Then your reason is not reasonable. I bet you, nobody will send any idea across.
