You simply can't enjoy the forum without us can you. Oya, I've commented, happyhuh

Only in Nigeria do govt officials make statements like this and when one queries how they arrived at these numbers, they say you don't mean well for the country!! Can the minister give us the names of 1/4 of the supposed 2.2 million people that had been employed in the sectorhuh
that's why the FOI bill was signed into law, if you want that information all you need to do is go up to the relevant agency or agencies and make your request.

PoliticsRe: OBJ Furious Again: Jonathan Forfeited My Electric Power Plans by greaterlove(m): 6:10am On Nov 04, 2014
When it comes to power most of us don't really understand the level of decay in our power sector due to the years of neglect.
When you ask people how much and how long do you think we need to ensure our major cities get 24hrs electricity? They always scream " the money is there, this country has money", the same money we had that after $16b we are still were we are.
Even if we start generating 20,000 megawatts of electricity today our transmission lines can not even carry half of that, what that means is that we will still be in darkness, so how long will it take us to upgrade our transmission lines and how much will it cost us?
The present government is on the right track, but they have failed to tell the citizens the truth, it will still take time for Nigeria to enjoy 24hrs light. The good news is that whatever is invested into power now will be felt immediately by the people and that is progress.

If you compare the following states, you'd know that PDP has truly failed.

Imo [APC] Vs Abia [PDP]

Rivers [APC] Vs Delta [PDP]

Edo [APC] Vs Bayelsa [PDP]

Kano [APC] Vs Ebonyi [PDP]

Lagos [APC] Vs Benue [PDP]

Do you need to be told that PDP has failed Nigerians?! You should be ashamed of your pay masters!
I guess you stylishly left out Enugu and Akwa Ibom. The projects in Akwa Ibom alone eclipse all of the APC states you mentioned combined.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Is 31st Most Corrupt Nation – Transparency International by greaterlove(m): 5:38pm On Oct 26, 2014
PassingShot:
Thanks but no thanks. Sure I'm really dissappointed in the level and magnitude of corruption in this country.

Can you tell me why I should be bothered by other countries' corruption level? Oh, you're happy that we are corruption-wise "ahead" of those countries that should not have even been compared to us in terms of any meaningful thing a serious country is measured.

Shame on us as a country really.
Guy chill, why are you making so much noise? Your country that you claim to love so much use to occupy second position now it has moved to 31st in less than 8yrs and you are not happy. I am happy because we are making progress and we will continue to make progress, with the reforms taking place all around us we are making progress. Instead of lamenting we should be having discussions on how to accelerate the progress we are making.

PoliticsRe: Lend Your Voice To Fight Gorvernors To Actualize Lg Autonomy by greaterlove(m): 4:28am On Oct 25, 2014
anonimi:
Depends on what the federating units are. If states federate into a country they decide how much of their own revenue to give the central government, while the LGAs also collect their own revenue from which a portion is paid to the state government.
What is ILLOGICAL is for states to expect the FG to pay for their created LGAs.
Na who wan be MUGU huh
You know this people can be impossible, they will resist anything just for resisting sake. If tomorrow the bill being discussed is to make nigeria a true federation they will still be the group kicking against it.
PoliticsRe: Lend Your Voice To Fight Gorvernors To Actualize Lg Autonomy by greaterlove(m): 6:39pm On Oct 24, 2014
I have always supported local government autonomy and I will continue to support it 100%.

PoliticsRe: I Don't Believe In Local Govt. Autonomy - LCDA Chairman by greaterlove(m): 11:18am On Oct 24, 2014
Sometimes I wonder if we Nigerians really want change, I can't believe a man who has held such a seat can be saying so.
Why will we want to sacrifice this because some governors want to keep the money allocated to local governments to themselves?

PoliticsRe: ''The Buharists and the Facts they are Ignoring.!!!'' by greaterlove(m): 6:33am On Oct 23, 2014
Dear OP, I have always asked this questions to those who are trying to sell Buhari and somehow they avoid answering them.
None of them can really tell you Buhari's stand on some of the serious national issues you mentioned. All we hear is how Buhari is anti corruption but what corruption is greater than the disdain for rule of law? What corruption is greater than the deliberate weakening of our institutions? What corruption is greater than selective justice? What corruption is greater than the imbalance in siting projects? What corruption is greater than denying the people freedoom of speech and expression?
Hatred for GEJ is what is really the driving force of those supporting Buhari, it's not really the love for Nigeria or the man Buhari, they know the man Buhari can only move this country backwards but they are ready to support him just to see GEJ leave in 2015.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Blocks Kwankwaso From All Public Venues In Abuja by greaterlove(m): 9:59pm On Oct 22, 2014
GEJ did not block Buhari, he did not block Atiku, it is now kwankwaso he is trying to stop. Very soon a local government chairman will also claim GEJ is blocking him.
My advice to APC supporters is that you can't win an election when all you do is spew hatred and spin lies against GEJ, the more you guys do, the more GEJ is loved.

Why are you guys making so much fuss about all this? Are this the evidence you guys will produce when the election does not go in your favor? Is this what you guys will use to justify the actions of buhari's supporters when they go to the streets and start killing innocent corpers? You APC supporters just seat at home on your keyboards trying to convince us that Buhari will win next year election, elections are not won by manipulated online polls.

-You mean ur 100% happy with our Educational System ?,,,"Security-NPF",,,Politics of do or die,,,Good Health Facilities for the rich only,,,,Low or No Employment Rate,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

- Pls where do u reside in Nigeria I'll like to relocate !!!

,,,I believe every Nigerian is Patriotic from their DNA.............it has come to a level where people don't even know how they feel.......,,,,,,.....My brother Happiness is easy to define,,,,,PAIN is so Complex....
When you ask an American if he is happy with the American system, he will say no, that the cost of healthcare is too high, that tax needs to be reduced and the rich taxed more, that un employment rate is too high, that Wall Street and major corporations are controlling their government, that there is high decay in infrastructure etc etc...
There is something every citizen somewhere is complaining about, in Hong Kong, china, USA, Japan citizens are complaining. Experience has taught me that people who are always complaining about their country and environment make the worst set of leaders when given the opportunity to lead, I avoid them like a plaque.
