igbsam: Here's out it played out. He was able to identify the abductors, so he offered to give them that amount knowing well that after his release he would go after those he was able to identify. Especially his employee that was leaping. He quickly thought of a mouth watering deal which the kidnappers gladly accepted. He's a brave and wise man. I respect his courage. But i know he didn't do all this out of the ordinary.......something else is involved, some people call it jazz or odeshi.you are right. He played them by " making them an offer they can't refuse" it was an offer that made them lower their defences. The man is a sharp business man, its not jazz or odeshi but fast thinking. |
IYA NGBALI: no be your fault,na moyes dey give una mouth to talkeyaaah! Sorry bros, don't give up yet, your miracle is on the way but its not gonna come this Sunday. |
Like Mr Aboki pointed out not just on this thread but on a similar thread, the crowd control was very poor. We should deal with the core issue to prevent future occurrences and stop arguing about who came where and who threw what. RIP to the dead. |
CFCfan: 'Like' if u think Arsenal will demolish Man Utd.I won't use the word demolish but the gunners are gonna beat the red devils. |
Please leave my dearest funke alone, if I need good English I know where to get it. She is the best female comedian in naija and she is making her money with the bad English, so you the writer should go make money with your good English period. |
Why do you guys think he has been winning player of the year in Isreal? Enyeama is good, Messi himself confirmed it during the 2010 world cup. |
Ogbeche77: This dude wants to pay lecturers with proceeds from rag rallies, how much does he think an average PhD holder earns in a federal university.. I need some of that weeds Comrade Adediwura IsmaeelI quite agree with you, the students are the ones to pay for part of ASUU's demands after the strike, school fees are going to skyrocket across federal universities, Adesina and co should start talking to their parents and not going on rag rallies. |
kliverpool: THE WORLD IS THINKING AND MAKING MOVE UNDERGROUNDI disagree with the underground moves. About 5yrs ago a deputy Chinese minister mentioned something Like this and we all know how that pronouncement affected the dollar. The global financial meltdown has taught many nations a lesson and the unseriousness of the US politicians by holding the whole world hostage is not helping issues. Brazil, China, Turkey and many growing economies are already thinking along this line. |
Good move, but it should not just be the Chinese currency, other currencies should be considered. There should also be an agreement with the Chinese to stop them from manipulating their currency, if they can do that other countries are going to dump the dollar for the Chinese currency since the US politicians are being childish with their economy, we have to act fast so that those tea party fanatics don't drag us down along with them. |
Op thanks. Banana was a meal for me when I was in Ondo state. That axis of Edo and Ondo is a banana Heaven in Nigeria. |
I said it earlier that the debt ceiling will be raised, it might be a relief but america just shot itself on the foot. This is not the first time they will be holding the "whole world" hostage, nations will start looking for alternatives to the dollar, what that alternative will be no one knows yet. greaterlove: I have a feeling that the US congress will raise the debt ceiling before the deadline but what they should know is that the harm has already been done. Raise the ceiling or not Countries are now looking for alternatives to the dollar, nobody is enjoying the drama of the US congress and President, if its disturbing to ordinary folks like me I wonder what finance ministers and presidents of nations will be going through. |

Everyday, but the best prayer is in doing the right thing. |
naptu2: My favourite episode was the one with Sutechk the Destroyer. NTA kept repeating the series with the Dialekts (Exterminate! Exterminate!) And my favourite Dr Who was Tom Baker.guy that was my best too. Sutechk and the Egyptian mummies. Doctor who's soundtrack used to scare the shit out of me back then. |
Yuzedo, you are one of the people that make naira land fun for me, sometimes I go through your posts just for the laughs. I am seeing another aspect of yuzedo and I am liking both this focused and intelligent you as much as I like the naughty chief yuzedo of banana Iceland. |
Where is Yuzedo's name on that list? That list is not complete without Chief oyoyo sweetus of banana Iceland. |

Some of the weaknesses I have seen in our dear president are that he is not an orator and he is also shy, but these two qualities does not make a man weak. You might disagree with me, GEJ is a leader who thinks things through. He might not have the swag of OBJ or the oratory skills of Rochas but is that all we really need in a leader? On the issues raised by Fani, I know this writeup would have still slander the president had GEJ said he was a lion and David. The bottom line is this, if you choose to see only faults in a man, you will have many to see. God bless GEJ, God bless Nigeria. |
gbokukueba: The cetenary celebration in 2014 is the only 'legal' routeto steak money in preparation for 2015...if the argument is that its a route to steal money then we will understand, but telling us there was nothing called Nigeria before 1960 is playing on our intelligence. |
According to Fash's theory, India came into being in 1953, Egypt came into being in 1922 and Libya became Libya in 1947. Oga Fash I like you but on this theory you are wrong. |
Sincere 9gerian: NONSENSE! The only restructuring that makes sense is RESOURCE CONTROL. Let every state control its human and material resources and pay taxes to the centre. That will automatically remove all the attraction from the centre and the states will become the new centre of attraction. Corruption and struggle for power at the centre will automatically reduce. Healthy competition among states will return. State govts that cannot survive alone will automatically merge. In fact, most of the problems we see today will either disappear or becomes a local issue (restricted to within states). Any other talk apart ofrom resource control is NONSENSE and playing to the gallery. You are on point. How are you doing? |
kaeyame: As if that will solve the issue! Nigerians are their own problem! You think Mr President is "corruption", how about the "ordinary" man out there! I bet that in your own sphere, you are equally as corrupt and there is someone planning revolution for you too...you too much. 53 gbosas for you. |
Candour: That is the reality of today's churches. They deny that suffering is a part of life so why should they be associated with death, the ultimate leveller?I was once invited for a service by my friend, he was a worker in the church and before we left home, he was telling me that they lost some members who were on their way back from a yearly program of their church in an accident the previous day and that some of the survivals are still in the hospital. To my surprise nothing of such was mentioned during the whole service, the pastor carried on as if nothing happened the previous day. I looked at my friend after the service and told him exactly how I felt. |
Promhize: It's really bad, the government can close this forum with the help of very good lawyers if they give a warning to seun. Yes it's as easy as it sounds, they damaging the presidents and governments image among other things. What am I saying they dont even need to forewarn them. That's the corruption we are talking about, its also on Nairaland, above me are 21 rules but its never followed if you are calling Jonathan names but use it on any of the APC governors and you will face the music. |
Joavid: what a pity!GEJ sense is intact. He is right on point, anybody who wants to run can declare his intentions to run, but you can't force the President to declare his intention to run, let him work first. |
Michael Sokoto: My friend go sleep joorI will, and I am going to sleep well and happy tonight, hope you can do same? |
God Almighty has given us the best man to lead us. Haters can go hug transformer. People who have logs of wood in their eyes are trying to remove the small twig in the President's eyes. God bless my President. God bless Nigeria. |
Ozil to score first goal for the Gunners today. |
Up Gunners, three points in the basket. |
I onced lost my wallet in abuja, to my surprise the good guy who picked it up called me up to tell me he has my wallet with him. When I met him that evening I tried all I could to give him some money but he refused, he even refused me taking him out for a drink. Till date he is my friend. There are still good people in this country. |
successking: I never appreciated Nigeria, until i went to Ghana and spent two years and i realised that Nigeria is like US in Africa, with the lowest cost of living in the continent. In deed she is a great nation.pls tell them. |
