Ngige has not lost support — APC on November 12, 2013 By Emmanuel Aziken, Political Editor The Ngige campaign yesterday denied assertions that it was losing support to his major rivals in the election, Tony Nwoye and Willie Obiano, respectively the candidates of the PDP and APGA. The denial by the Ngige campaign followed news reports that one time Director General of the Ngige Campaign Organisation, Senator Annie Okonkwo had led 10,000 of his active supporters to back Nwoye and that a long time strong loyalist of Ngige, Chief Sam Anyamutaku had on his part defected to back Obiano. Okelo Madukaife, reacting on behalf of the Ngige campaign yesterday flatly denied the assertions. “Chief Anyamutaku is a business partner of Chief Annie Okonkwo who has consistently supported him politically,” Madukaife said yesterday in an email response to Vanguard. “We concede both Anyamutaku and Okonkwo their political pathway but hasten to scalrify that Anyamutaku has never been a supporter of Senator Dr Chris Ngige. He supported Annie Okonkwo in the Senatorial elections of 2011.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/11/ngige-lost-supporter-apc/ |
Buhari is as weak as woman. Gen Tunde Idiagbon was the disciplined type. Buhari without Idiagbon is like a car without engine |

Eze Promoe: I heard the news somewhere. Will post the link later. The APC PUNCH newspaper reported it but when negative comments about APC started pouring in they quietly barred all further comments and later removed the story completely. PUNCH of the yesteryears was never like this. Today's PUNCH's management have been bought over by Tinubu and are gradually killing that news media . |
Goddex: 1) In February, we won the Nation's Cup after 20yrs.My brother, with Nigeria's economy overtaking South Africa's to emerge Africa's biggest, single digit inflation rate of 8%, agricultural boom even despite heavy flooding last year, Power sector reforms beginning to yield fruits etc Nigeria has never had it so good. |
. . . and APC keeps exposing its hypocricy |
Why is Ameachi importing thugs from neighboring states when Rivers state has a population of over 5million? Simple answer is the guy is losing popularity at home. |
You are so on point, OP |
So, 10 billion naira can build a University? Reminds me of Gov Ameachi spending 9 billion naira to acquire a private jet. |
Kwara state gov will join soon. Only, I think Saraki is sort of dictating for him. |
It's a big shame how these APC peeps can go lying to the world. The Osun Defender is not even helping Ngige. They can keep on destroying the very minute particles of integrity Ngige had left with him until he will have zero integrity. |
Ile-Ife:1) Were the invoices you talked about raised in Stella's name? 2) If not, what makes you conclude Stella personally inflated the cost and should resign? 3) What if the price negotiation was done by civil servants working with NCAA? 4) The oduah you crucify, do you have evidence that she financially enriched herself in the purchase? Hey!! that woman is the best thing to happen to aviation ministry in the last 20yrs. You enemies of progress should allow her concentrate on the transformation of our airports. |
All the members of FG delegation to that negotiation team should be investigated. |
Ile-Ife:Nigerians including Igbos did not also defend the likes of Adolphus Nwabara, Maurice Iwu etc. Stella Oduah's case is quite different and is clearly some ethnic hate. Only a blind baby will fail to see it. |
Wow......so people still reason like this Gunmi? The cause of our problems as a country is becoming clearer. |
Wow. . . so touching. It's well with Nigeria. |
Pls post video of the PDP guy too. Obaino's intellectual capacity dwarfs every other candidate |
Chino48: Ngige has accepted defeat already..Truth is, APC can never win Anambra this time even with Ngige's popularity among some sections of Anambra. He belongs to the wrong party and mingles with the wrong folks - simple! Tell me your friends and I'll tell you who you are. |
As usual, the Liar is confused. First, he insinuates presidency is plotting to rig for APGA something doesn't add up is PDP not fielding a candidate? Later the jihadist claims INEC is deploying PDP card carrying members to supervise the election to rig for APGA? |
He is free to go. His resignation letter has since been approved |
The three have done very well and have distinguished themselves. I can't remember the last time we had fuel scarcity in this country - thank you Madueke The favourable ratings of our economy recently by international rating agencies is a sign we are moving in the right direction - thank you Okonjo - Iweala. Before our very own eyes, our airports are gradually becoming a thing of pride to Nigerias - thank you Stella Oduah Thank you GEJ. It's well with Nigeria. |
Lagos state govt should stop telling lies to the people and provide portable pipeborne water to Lagosians. Why will the state govt abandon Lagosians at the mercy of shallow Wells, MaiRuwa and 'pure' water? |
The Peoples Democratic Party has said that the All Progressive Congress is free to boycott the national dialogue announced by President Goodluck Jonathan on October 1. The party, in its response to the decision by the APC to boycott the dialogue, said the opposition party needed to know that attendance at the conference would not be determined on political party basis. It said since majority of the people had agreed to take part in the conference, APC was free to carry out its threat. APC, after its National Executive Committee meeting, which was held in Abuja on Tuesday, said that the dialogue was nothing but a mere constitutional amendment process, which it said was already ongoing. The Interim National Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, described the planned conference as diversionary. Besides, he said the Federal Government lacked the credibility to organise such conference. He also said that the conference was meant to divert the attention of Nigerians from the country’s several problems, including insecurity, corruption and infrastructural decay. Mohammed had said, “In any event, we see this thing as nothing but a diversion and what are we talking about a national conference for when even the President himself has said that the outcome of that conference would be subjected to the approval of the National Assembly? But the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, told journalists in Abuja on Thursday that the APC was known for planting the seed of discord in the country. He said the leadership of the opposition party had probably concluded that it had nothing to offer at the conference, hence its decision to stay away. Metuh said, “The national conference is not going to be about political parties. It is about Nigerians and attendance won’t be by political parties. “The APC is free to boycott if it has nothing to offer. Infant, its leadership might have concluded that it had nothing to offer. So, there is nothing we can do about that. “This is a party that has penchant for sowing discord and ethnicity among Nigerians. It is a retrogressive party.” The PDP spokesperson told Nigerians not to take the APC seriously, adding that it should not be allowed to drag the country backward. He said since the conference had been accepted by majority of Nigerians, members of the National Assembly and associations, then Nigerians should forget the views of the opposition party. http://www.punchng.com/news/apc-free-to-boycott-national-dialogue-pdp/ |
One thing I know is sure: APC will never win in Anambra |
They is no cause for alarm. Some of these news stories are sponsored by his rivals. It's a sign they are jittery. |
Keneking: Is this all? Seems he now has Lagos as last hope. These projects are all whose initiative? Does he have a choice? Can't he borrow to meet lecturers demand?Did you even read and understand the article? |
Jo.segun:He was not. Stop lying. |
Who was the Minister of Education during that YarAdua tenure sef? When NANS President once cried out that ASUU's demands are non implementable, some people called him a small boy. Agreed, ASUU deserve all they are demanding for, but not at this level of our development where our annual budget is still a paltry 4 trillion naira or 36 billion dollars which is not upto one-third of South African budget. |
I can't believe these same guys criticising Oduah for 125m cars actually defended Fashola back in 2011 when he bought his for 200m each. |
