PoliticsRe: Bukola Saraki Is The Senate President Of The 8th NASS by Guk: 11:50am On Jun 09, 2015
I have seen a lot of bile been thrown the way of Bola Ahmed Tinubu with respect to politics in Nigeria but we all need to understand that we all behave like Tinubu, one way or the other. The only thing i see with this man is Protectionism.

Simply Protecting what he has a Stake in. You all have to be aware that Saraki is PDP through and through and was never part of the formation of APC. Saraki only had a problem with GEJ & not PDP. Saraki only used APC to return to Senate as PDP wld not have nominated him and without Kwara, GMB would have still won the election anyway.

Tinubu is just ensuring that only those who staked into the risk of a new party should be the 1st in line to benefit from it. He is also ensuring that there must always be a Power Block that any other group must come and negotiate with to actualise their own dreams, so, whats his offence, at least we can see how other regions are struggling becos they do not have formidable power blocs.

What a lot of people do not realise is that Tinubu is not a threat to Buhari but wants to ensure that other groups do not hijack or pose a threat to him

Well below is what I know..........

The enrollment process for acquiring your BVN is
simple.
. Visit any branch of the bank you have an account with.
Registration by proxy not acceptable.
. Collect and fill the BVN enrollment form with all
personal data about you.
. Submit the completed form to a designated official at
your bank, who would then transfer the information
given into a computer data base.
. The official will take your photograph and finger prints.
. You will sign your signature that will be captured
electronically into the data system.
. A small temporary registration acknowledgement slip
will be issued to you, followed by an email or SMS
conveying a similar information.
. A BVN identification card with a computer chip bearing
your embedded personal information will be issued to
you for collection at your designated bank branch.
. BVN registration exercise is mandatory for all individual
customers.
. Registration must be completed on or before June 30,
2015.
. After deadline, you may not be able to do any financial
transaction in any bank in the Nigerian banking system
as you will require your fingerprint for authentication.
. BVN registration is for individual account holders for the
meantime till further notice.
. Registration in one bank covers all accounts the
individual might have in all other banks.

This is the best policy I love most among the policies laid down by the ex CBN governor Sanusi
How is that so? In my opinion, its very draconian and should be revisited. It will likely lead to loss of customers by Banks if its carried out to the letter e.g, why do i need more than 1 account when i can only withdraw a limit of $300 a day per BVN. That means all the =N= Master & Visa cards that i have for my Savings and Current accounts are useless for that day as i am only entitled to use 1 per day, so whats the use of maintaining accounts with several other banks even though i can use them on PoS

Osinbajo's stature is a disadvantage for a position he occupies; appears like an errand boy when he stepped out with Buhari and Tony Blair last nite. Kayode Fayemi even has a better carriage.
Fayemi is on vacation, thats why he is relaxed. Osinbajo is tensed, as he knows people like you are there with your expectations on one hand and dagger on the other hand. If you look at GMB also, his face was squeezed up all through! The weight is enormous.

Four Nigerians will be gunning for seats at the British parliament. The election scheduled for 7th May 2015 will see the four Nigerians with three who are already members of parliament fighting for slots. Below are

CHUKA UMUNNA

Chuka Harrison Umunna (born 17 October 1978) is a British Labour Party politician who has served Streatham as Member of Parliament(MP) since 2010. Umunna is the current Shadow Business Secretary since 2011.

Chuka Umunna's father Bennett, of the Nigerian Igbo ethnic group, died in a road accident in Nigeria in 1992.[3] His mother, Patricia, is asolicitor and daughter of Sir Helenus Milmo QC, the Anglo-Irish High Court judge.

Umunna was educated at Hitherfield Primary School in Streatham, South London, and the Christ Church Primary School in Brixton Hill. During this period he was also achorister at Southwark Cathedral.

He was awarded an upper second class LLB in English and French Law from the University of Manchester; after graduating he studied for one term at the University of Burgundy in Dijon, before studying for an MA at Nottingham Law School. Grant received her first government appointment in September 2012, when she received the dual roles of Under-Secretary of State for Justiceand Under-Secretary for Women and Equalities. Grant attracted media attention in November 2012 after it emerged she was allowed to claim the maximum expenses allowed within the IPSA rules for a London flat, despite her family home being within 20 miles of

Grant was born in Willesden, north London to an English mother and Nigerian father, but grew up in a single parent family after her parents separated and her father emigrated to the United States. Her father, from Nigeria, was working as a dentist while he studied at Newcastle Medical School when they met and married in the 1950s.

After Chi was born in Wallsend, Newcastle upon Tyne, in 1965, her family moved to Awka, Nigeria when she was still a baby. How can he give such pieces of advice to an already prudent person like GMB whilst the person, GEJ, he pledges lifetime loyalty to was the most wasteful leader in Nigeria, someone who boasted of the number of Private Jets owned by Nigerians so much that we were the butt of jokes of the Kenyans. Why he never gave these pieces of advice to GEJ is obvious as he was heavily benefitting too!

PoliticsRe: Nigerians Condemn Buhari’s Appointment Of #bringbackourgirls Founder by Guk: 4:33pm On Apr 27, 2015
Its unfortunate that the depth of reasoning in Nigeria is very shallow. People need to understand a few things and its as simple as this:

(1) Hadiza, in her own right, at a Youthful age has engaged in the quest for good governance in Nigeria without recourse to public funds. Nigerians need to come to terms that some people still do what they love to do without money being the motivating factor. I can tell you that GMB & Prof Osinbajo are not in govt because of money. But GMB is motivated by Power but Power with control as he knows he needs to be in hold of that power to effect changes that will be good for Nigeria on the long run. Can he succeed? He will strive to, but many bobby traps and mine fields along the way.

(2) Hadiza was a commited member of CPC and later APC which she is entitled to, based on her political leanings.

(3) BBOG is a movt that arose out of the need to provide a platform to highlight the plight of an unfortunate group of people and they succeeded in keeping the flame burning. Is it their responsibility to rescue or negotiate the release of the girls? NO!
People need to realise that BBOG is symbolic and a catalyst to restore human concern in cold hearted Nigerians whom majority now see calamity as business as usual. BBOG is a symbol that we should shout from the roof top against injustice of any form.

(4) Our dormant; compromised National Assembly should have even used the oppurtunity presented by BBOG, to raise and pass bills that will provide punishment for negligence of duty of care. The uncorcern shown by Nigerians have given impetus to more abduction; weekly kidnapping; slaughters in the Middle Belt states of Plateau; Benue and Nassarawa.

(5) Is Hadiza wrong to have whilst bn a member of APC, also created BBOG? Is there a conflict of interest? NO!

(6) Was Hadiza picked from BBOG or APC to be in the transition group? It matters not, neither is it a reward ala GEJ style.......its simply for what she has to offer

Nigeria, pls be grateful for people like Hadiza; Oby Ezekwesili; GMB; Prof Osinbajo and others who have given of themselves to serve the community Nigeria without fear or favour as their lives are not influenced or dictated by the =N= & Kobo that some kill themselves to enter govt for

linsa01:
This is exactly my problem with you online commentators and critics. Where was the official statement that informed you that he bought 100,000bags of rice or that he spent 1billion on rice? Pls give me the link. My point is that every government is wasteful but Fayose cares more about the common man. I don't support sharing of rice either but I'm just letting you know that Fayemi spent more on gifts than Fayose. Unfortunately, fayemi's gifts go to those who have enough. Do you know how many family, children, parents will bless Fayose for giving them the '3 weeks chicken'(as some of you claimed). Once again I pray you don't know poverty.
The 100,000 bags came from the governor himself and was reported then & mind you, the =N=1billion is a conservative estimate becos a bag of 50kg Rice was =N=13k at that time but with volume discount, wld be less, then factor cost of haulage; storage; distribution; bags; chicken; vegetable oil and others too inconsequential to mention

I pray i never experience poverty & thats why i am applying my common sense in all matters. Fortunately enough, i have engaged myself in direct activities targeted at the poor and needy.....I still have my pictures from Makoko. Assisted with raising money for Dustbin village in Ijora here in Lagos.

What i am saying is that do not let your Gov fool you....if Fayemi got away wt it, do not let ds man get away wt it......Becos Fayemi did it doesnt mean its acceptable for another to come and do his own turn

Fashola has no business in this discussion and is prudent in his administration.....he will never blow state funds on frivolities

Back to Fayose, it is economically destructive for him to blow =N=1billion on Christmas Rice and as i have written, looking at it reasonably, Ekiti could not have received 100,000 bags of Rice over Christmas, do you know the logistics of delivering 100,000 bags of Rice? Where are the warehouses to keep them? Who bears the cost of storage etc.....make una continue make he dey fool u o!

It's not everything that has to be imported.
I give it to Fayose. Why won't his people love him.
Pls help me further with the shaded area.......Contract to produce furniture worth =N=1.2b to be used by who? Schools? Hospitals? Govt offices? Was an audit of needs carried out to determine the gap in furniture requirments of Ekiti state? Was it that the furniture never existed where they are needed now? & since furniture dont stay on their own but within housing structure, that means there must be a lot of buildings built by someone in the past that need furnishing.....thats a lot of unfurnished buildings....i wonder who built them? Or is this contract a media hype? =N=1.2billionhuh

Let me educate you as an insider. Fayemi spent more during Xmas seasons during his time than Fayose did despite giving to the masses. Fayemi gave all past governors, speakers, heads of service and other high rank personalities bags of rice, cow and cash during the yuletide seasons while Fayose gave more to the masses than these politicians. I pray you don't know poverty else you'll appreciate this man.
If Fayemi did wrong, he should be reprimanded, but Fayemi's wrong does not make Fayose's wrong right.

Poverty is not reduced by handouts, Poverty is reduced by authorities putting in place structures that initiate and sustain growth for years. If you think giving out rice in black nylon bags and handing them chicken at Christmas which they finished consuming in 1 week and they remain poor for the remaining 51 weeks is the way to go, good luck to you and your co-travellers.

& for your calculation, the claim that Fayose bought and gave out 100,000 bags at Christmas is complete hogwash.......pls show me how many warehouses you have in Ekiti to contain 100,000bags of rice. Try and calculate how many trailers would have brought the Rice into Ekiti..... Figure out the logistics of distributing 100,000 bags to the 4 corners of Ekiti, then you will begin to realise you have been sold a stinking dummy.

I repeat, an investment of that Rice =N-1billion, inot housing would have benefited Ekiti beyond just one Christmas....you obviously dont know what =N=1billion is, no disrespect to you

Lets look at this reasonably and logically. If Fayose had invested the =N=1billion he blew on Rice at Christmas into a housing project....=N=1billion will easily give you 500pieces of 2 bedroom flats in Ekiti.......Pls tell me how many people as a result of that will likely patronise the bedsellerhuh A govt's responsibility is to create market spaces that will take a life of its own and blossom, not grandstanding and showmanship for the cameras

RomanceRe: Why Do Nigerian Men Think All Foreign Women Are Crazy About Them by Guk: 6:30am On Apr 04, 2015
35 pageshuh WoW!!! Every country has its pecularities & every National of that country has their Pride. My 1st visit to South Africa was in 2003 and the next visit thereafter was 10 years after & the development has been tremendous starting from OR Thambo. A lot of people on this thread cannot appreciate the difference in the transportation system between that 2003 and 2013. Its bn phenomenal.

I stayed at Protea Centurion in 2003 & i only visited again on 2nd April 2015......the difference to the area is highly commendable.

I was invited to Busy Corner last Sunday the Shisanyama was so delicious that i started enquiring about getting a Franchise

Pilanesberg and Suncity are favourite destinations of mine & driving through the Hartbeespoort dam on the way back from Suncity just blew my mind.

Food variety in SA is vast, diverse and enjoyable, except that my tatse buds didnt align with the Tripe, but give me Oxtail; Chuck; Hake; Calamari; Sea Bass; Lamb Chops; Baby Chicken anyday and i would love u forever

I have taken time to unwind at GRC; Montecasino & such like. I have also taken time to visit Soweto (Vilakazi etc but Hector Pieterson museum gave me the creeps...i was not myself for the rest of the day, so u understand why i have not visited the Apartheid Museum)

Driven through Thembisa and Thokoza so i have a bit of a fair idea of Township and Squata camps. Townships are organised...infact Soweto reminds me of Ebute Metta in Lagos for its roads that criss cross one another. Places in Lagos that are akin to townships are Ebutte Metta; Ajegunle; Olodi Apapa; Ketu; Ojota; Oworonshoki; Bariga; Mushin and Squata camps are like Makoko; Ijora Badiya; the shacks close to 3rd mainland bridge.
Surburbs are like Ogudu; Ilupeju; Surulere; Yaba etc.

People live in any of these 3 categories based on circumstances whether in Nigeria; South Africa; Ghana or whereever else. Instead of bashing each other, how can you in your respective country make a difference?

Lastly, with respect to the topic, i will make reference specifically to SA women that i have interacted with both Professional & Non Professional.....I know a lot of Nigerian men are attracted to the physique of the SA women but remember that some like it big and some like it moderate so size does not confer advantage and same applies to the mens joystick or eggplant as well.

My observation 1: A few SA ladies i have interacted with are not reliable wt keeping appointments..........as i said, its my observation and not neccesarily the norm.

My observation 2: In comparison to our own Nigerian culture specific to where i come from (Yoruba tribe) SA Ladies drink a lot & i find it concerning, again, i refer to where i come from becos i understand women from a particular part of Nigeria drink like fish.

In summary, SA is a beautiful place and i look forward to visiting again as i see a lot of business oppurtunities here which we are already tapping into. If i come across any of you Ladies who have been commenting, pls treat me well and not hang me by my sentiments...lol wink

All these attempts to romanticize and paint GEJ in good colours does not hold water at all!

Let the truth be told, GEJ was incompetent; inefficient & took decisions with impunity and mischief (Alams pardon; Koro's nomination) and thats why majority of you and i who voted him in as President in 2011, voted him out in 2015. Period!

A man who abused Buhari in his 1st campaign in Lagos; refused to caution FFK, Fayose's poisonous, toxic, venomous, deadly, lethal, death-dealing adverts and statements & had no control over his wife as she continously spewed hostile, spiteful, venomous, vicious, vindictive, bitter, scathing, abusive, mean, nasty, aggressive, savage and harsh comments upon Buhari.

GEJ heightened tension to the same level that he is now been hailed to have prevented (we saw OPC in action in Lagos....it was authorised mayhem). Pls, Nigerians should stop this arrant nonsense of "Heroism". Its a normal practice for any rational being!
