billante: Guy pls stop lying! how can FG collect 16,999 tax from a 19,998 air fare! and arik and co are still operating? even the devil cant be that wickedBros, pls go online to www.acn.aero or arik online and book a ticket and you shall see the info |
Please pardon my ignorance o, am a learner O, but is that how someone in coma is treated and exposed in hospital?? #justasking #wetinIKnowSef |
Mekky2010: National Carrier to Begin Operations with 50 Aircraft 100% fallacy! You cannot crash prices below what is charged now and be profitable. See a typical fare to Abuja from Lagos: Adult fare single of NGN 2,999.00 Total Fare including taxes is NGN 19,998.00 meaning Tax collected by Federal Govt & Min of Aviation is NGN 16,999. Please intelligently tell me how you can charge any less than 3k with a full load of 120 passengers or less on an Embraier and still remain profitable |
I will start as follows: (1) Every country has the right to protect its borders as it deems it fit (2) We Nigerians bring upon ourselves the consequences of our actions. We always feel we can beat systems that have been put in place for the benefit of all.. What ever category of migrants we are anywhere in the world we abuse it up to a level deserving of expulsion. (a) London Metropolitan University had their international students' application withdrawn from these same countries, Nigeria inclusive last year for student visa abuse (b) Qatar banned Nigerians from obtaining their visa not long ago (c) Irish-Born child passport that had been in existence for over 50 years abused by Nigerians to the level it was reviewed (d) Dont even talk about our behaviour in South Africa. It is not that other Nationals do not take advantage of "loopholes" in the Western world, we feel we are smart and are chancing them and ignorantly enough, dont know that the system is closing in on us (Has the system not used Biometrics to close down on "Ori Olori? i.e, using another person's passport) With respect to retaliation like for like, there is nothing to celebrate about that. Dont let your hypocritical leaders fool you...its all grandstanding and hot air puffing and we should stop deluding ourselves that the Western world needs us. What do we have that they cannot get elsewhere? What exactly do we produce and export that is unique to Nigeria alone. In that delusion, the whole world is leaving us behind. let it be known to you that Nigeria is simply a Plundering ground so your retaliatory shakara amounts to nothing except to those who make a killing out of Nigeria. (Did Stella Oduah not disgrace us recently with the threat to ban BA because of ARIK and followed up with perceived harrassment of BA at MMIA when infact, it was the passengers that suffered in the end. Where did it all end, the Minister realised that they goofed badly and promptly found an exit strategy) Were not there threats to ban BA & Virgin for high prices when even ARIK was charging about the same amount? Did they not summon the Airlines before a National Assembly committee and once again embarrassed Nigeria. Have you checked how much tax chops in an Air ticket? Aero ticket from Lagos to PortHarcourt costs about 18,000. Only 4,237 of it goes to Aero, the rest is tax. One of the celebrations of our President's visit to South Africa is the Visa waiver for Diplomatic & Official passports still leaving us ordinary citizens on a waiting time of 5weeks. There was no mention of our own frustrations at the hands of S.A visa offices in lagos. My people, its all about them only o! We the Citizens are on our own o! As for the 3,000 pounds, i think its too high but i dont frown at a form of bond moreso that its refundable & will only be used for search and deportation costs if the person absconds, so genuine applicants need not worry. In closing, Britain is sacrificing heavily by enduring substantial financial cuts to help them get out of debt. they are collectively paying the price for the excesses of the past but we all know that the reverse is the case here in Nigeria where we constantly live in denial and we are throwing money around like lottery winners without any thought for tommorrow. We celebrate 1 Nigerian on Forbes Rich list while 100million others are on poverty list. We celebrate gains from NSE Gambling Casino, the only stock exchange in the world that is immune to SocioPoliticalEconomic happenings. (Terrorism does not affect price of stocks; change of Govt does not affect price of stocks; Inflation does not affect it. It means its a standalone & is not tied to the fabric of the society it exists in. Strange!!) We beg for donations for medical ailments for treatment abroad yet we boast of having the best doctors who use candlelight to perform operations We claim to be the best educated blacks in the world yet 3 marks over 200 is a passmark for cetain people. We are a nation of contradiction & i wonder how long it will last |
ilugunboy: When I opined on a thread that no Nigerian President has ever debased our Presidency the way GEJ is doing and that out sovereignty as a nation is in the wrong hands...I was called names by the people that feel they are having the best of times under GEJ.. I totally agree with you. He takes Official property as personal property. I can remember the following gross misuse of public property: (1) Holding PDP family dinner in the banquet hall of Aso Rock 30/5/2013 (2)Holding PDP BoT meeting over 2 nights at Aso Rock (3) Reuben Abati, a govt employee bn used to announce the outcome of the BoT meetings. (4) Conveying his Presidential election application form to INEC office with a State House vehicle. These are all party activities, can PDP not rent halls for their events? |
Don't be ignorant. It's a bond not a fee, of course you'll get your money back if you return home which you're expected to, hence you're not throwing the £3000 away. By the way, such system exists in South Africa alias repatriation fee. Imagine even our own African counterpart imposes such system on other African nations. No blame game, it is what it is.
Nigeria charges South Africans a repatriation fee for firstime visa of R 6000.00.ie about =N=106,800 |
adepojuot: Official and diplomatic passport holders they are referring to are people of high calibre, people that hold political offices, like head of civil servant, chairman, politicians, business man and woman, honourables, commissioners, multi millionaires e.t.c,diplomatic passport holders fall under person or group of persons that represent Nigeria abroad,e.g ambassadors, people working in our embassy abroad and UN representatives. so if you don't fall to this people mentioned please go and apply for your visa........you get am.Every National Assembly member, past and present hold diplomatic passports. The ones who have been booted out of the Nat Assembly refused to return their diplomatic passports. Everybody na oga for 9ja |
databoy247: Nigeria and South Africa on Tuesday signed an agreement aimed at ending visa acquisition by holders of official and diplomatic passports. Typical wickedness and self centeredness of our so called leaders. No concern for the ordinary citizen. It takes upward of 1 month plus for you to have your visa processed in Lagos & this is talking from experience as in December 2012, it took them 5 weeks to return my passport & also took 4weeks + for renewal in May. I pity those of us who voted these desperados into power |
Guk: Lets put it into perspective: All the countries you have listed are some of the worst to deal with. Check out all the companies these people run, its all slave labour ( I know you will be quick to point out MTN). If they are not slave labour, they are Ultra protectionist.Moderators of Nairaland, pls check your software..... I wrote "come and rape' but its presented as "come and molestation" how come? |
angelinvestor: Nigeria is in danger, yet thousands of entrepreneurs and investors from South Africa, Lebanon, China, India, etc are trooping to Nigeria to invest and the stock market is booming. Well, it all depends on your own perspective. It you believe Nigeria is toast, then it is toast to you.Lets put it into perspective: All the countries you have listed are some of the worst to deal with. Check out all the companies these people run, its all slave labour ( I know you will be quick to point out MTN). If they are not slave labour, they are Ultra protectionist. Nigeria is toast for foreign coutries because we do not protect ourselves & we cant protect because we dont produce. The stock market has not benefitted the Nigerian Economy as much as it has benefitted Foreign and Rich Nigerian profit takers. A Stock market should provide production companies with cheap funds but at the end of the day, the foreign multinationals who are listed on them receive the cheap funds and on the other hand are involved in excessive capital flight. Dont lets even go into what the Nigerian Conglomerates do with the cheap funds. In a nutshell, the Nigerian economy is a big scam/racket where the foreigners come and rape whilst the owners of the land watch helplessly |
TEXT MESSAGES BTW BASH ALI & MINSTER OF NIGER DELTA MINISTRY Bash Ali: Godsday, we included in the budget the fight and land cost for the 9 sports academies in Nigeria with 3 of your directors at the meeting. And I have always told you that this GWR fight must be done TRANSPARENTLY because apart from the honour and glory that it will bring to Nigeria, there is a lot of PPV fight money which we can all benefit from. Is doing a TRANSPARENT business at your ministry a fake thought that calls for the examination of my head? What happened to the money that was included in the budget? Did you divert it? Orubebe: I thought you were reasonable but had to withdraw because I realized you are not coordinated, you have a loose and porous mind set and living in the air. (April 23, 2011) Bash Ali: You withdrew and sent me back to the NSC because I insisted on a TRANSPARENT deal and now have the audacity to insult me. This is the second time you have said I am living in the air for believing a TRANSPARENT deal can be done at your ministry in particular and Nigeria in general. Do you know that out of 150 million Nigerians, I am one out of less than 5,000 Nigerians that have a national honour, do you know that I am an officer of the Order of the Niger, OON? Orubebe: OON, a disgrace. I will ensure that you are removed from the honours list. I promise you that. (April 24, 2011) Bash Ali: That is an empty talk. I got my OON on merit, so a million Godsday cannot take it away. Why are you preventing me from doing more great things for Nigeria and getting the highest national honour possible? Why? Must corruption always win? Orubebe: There will be no room for your apology and begging when we set up government without you. (April 28, 2011) Bash Ali: Godsday, it is you that must apologise and beg me to forgive you for being rude and talking trash. Set up government without me? What a joke!! If I am a fool for insisting that the boxing deal must be TRANSPARENT then I don’t want to be wise and above all, I gave Jonathan my mandate, not Godsday. Orubebe: Big fool. Why can’t you stop deceiving yourself? I am sorry for your children and family for having a stupid father who does not understand the times. (July 9, 2011) Bash Ali: Godsday, does understanding the times mean you have to be corrupt? I was just thinking, why can’t we do a TRANSPARENT business where we can all come out WINNERS? Let us contribute our quota to make Nigeria great, please. Let us help our brother, Jonathan to succeed, please. Orubebe: It’s like you are in love with Orubebe, remove shame and come, I will forgive you and teach you to be a responsible man like me. (July 10, 2011) Bash Ali: I cannot be in love with a man who has an arid vision for Nigeria. What shame? And forgive me for insisting on a TRANSPARENT business? Does being corrupt make a man like you responsible? I feel sorry for Nigerians, Jonathan. Orubebe: Your foolishness has made you not to know that this is the man that can bail you out of your blindness and frustration. Time is clicking. Don’t make me change my mind again. (July10, 2011) Bash Ali: You are the foolish and blind man who wants to continue to steal from government because you are in power. I will never again deal with you unless I get instruction from Jonathan. You are right, time is clicking because very soon, I will lead a revolution that will remove corrupt people like you from government and if I die in the process, nothing can be more redemptive. Orubebe: How can you be afraid to die when you have nothing to offer to Nigeria? (July 10, 2011) Bash Ali: I have contributed more to the betterment of Nigeria than you. I have spent millions of Naira to promote sports and NEVER asked government for a kobo despite being frustrated by a corrupt man like you. Orubebe: Come and take one very small contract to survive (July 13, 2011) Bash Ali: Give the very small contract to survive to your corrupt friends in government. Orubebe: If you are a fool at this age, am sorry for your children and family. I will tell your children to deny you. Big FOOL. (July 15, 2011) Bash Ali: From your action and text messages, you have shown Jonathan that he made a big mistake by appointing an idiot like you as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. A revolution is coming and it will sweep you out of office. Orubebe: It’s like you have no job. I would have taken you as an aide but you don’t have the brains. Sorry, too bad. Yours is a hopeless case. (July 15, 2011) Bash Ali: I am a world boxing champion and a national honour holder but your corrupt government has made me jobless, frustrated and hopeless but my brain is intact for a REVOLUTION that would remove you from office. Mark my word. Orubebe: I thought your head was getting normal. Oh sorry, I have volunteered to take you to Uselu at my own cost to bring you to normalcy. Foolish man, stupid man, crazy man, nuisance to society. Waste to our generation. Uselu is your rightful home. (Sept 1, 2011) |
Anambre Gov Peter Obi is doing ds simply to get juicy contracts from Jonah when he leaves office as he is due out shortly & moreso APGA is comatose. As for Mimiko, he is on 2nd term, he has to plan for his retirement.....its all chop chop politics |
Watch this space! From what i saw on Channels TV yday night, this is the scenario that will play out. Those old, rusty and tired looking munitions will be claimed to be old armoury of the Nigerian Army that the Lebanese got contract to safely dispose of & were kept there for safe keeping pending proper disposal. |
Just confirming that i heard the Minister saying on Channels TV yesterday night that only about 1500MW can realistically be added by Dec 2013, so who should we believe? Senior Minister or Minister of State?? |
Cut your losses and move on! It will be far more cheaper to start a fresh plant than to attempt to resucitate a 20th Century soviet plant. By the way, can it cost up to =N=60billion to start a new factory? Just thinking, thats what we want to spend away on mobile phones for 10m farmers hmmm |
One question please: If that plane had crashed between 2 & 26th April 2013 when it didnt have proper clearance/documents to fly, would the Insurers have paid If No, then its an illegality & both Rivers State & Aviation Authourities would have to be blamed |
And why should they? Every developed country sees Nigeria as a milking ground where they are only interested in dumping their own products whilst protecting their economy against the little that Nigeria produces. There is nothing Bi-lateral about Nigeria's relationsip with other countries as we dont produce much for export. Its easier for S.A to buy Oil from Angola than buy from Nigeria. As far as i know, which is limited, there is a huge demand for our Ankara in S.A presently, but the sad part about it is that, S.A will learn how we make the Ankara and begin to produce theirs which will be of higher quality & creativity and begin to sell back to us ![]() |
musiwa26: she cant be president but she can be governor of an igbo state... president.. noway.. nigerian will protest and shut down the country. , i think she will be a good igbo governor.. her people will vote for her. i am 100% sure of that. she is very tribalist enough as a queen woman to win a governorship election in igboland. she will be like so much by mossob. that she will get enough vote to be governor. If thats criterion for holding office then ignorance is king. In my opinion, she is looking for immunity from prosecution. She and her company SPG were indicted in the subsidy scam but nicely covered up. She is the head of the CABAL! |
truth4meal: PRESIDENT GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN, GCFRThis paragraph appears lifted from one of those Obama speeches #justsaying |
Good move if for the right reasons. This was done 4 years ago and it gave AERO competitive advantage over the others. Then, they sold 500,000 tickets at 5,000 lasting a period of 2 weeks netting them 2,500,000,000 |
Brand Ambassador is a marketing term for a person employed by an organization or company to promote its products or services within the activity known as branding. The brand ambassador is meant to embody the corporate identity in appearance, demeanor, values and ethics. The key element of brand ambassadors lies in their ability to use promotional strategies that will strengthen the customer-product/service relationship and influence a large audience to buy and consume more. Predominantly, a brand ambassador is known as a positive spokesperson appointed as an internal or external agent to boost product/service sales and create brand awareness. res ipsa loquitur |
Pure & Simple, KEke Marwa & or Keke Napep are not safe on dual carraigeways. 2ndly, pple need to be educated on this MegaCity status. Megacity is not a status you aspire to become. You become Megacity automatically when you hit a population in excess of 10 million people & it is characterised by Slums; Homelessness; Traffic congestion; Urban sprawl; Environmental problems etc, so its not a status any govt sets out to achieve. A lot of people wrongly use the phrase here on NL |
MacLovington: So the same Northerners who started Boko to distabilise the presidency of a Southerner are now making noise about Dokubo.Boko Haram existed long before GEJ became President. Always chk your facts |
Such visits are carefully assessed and planned, you dont just jump and go to war zone |
Peoples Democratic Party, Lagos State chapter, has called on the Economic and Financial Crime Commission to probe the activities of the Babatunde Fashola administration in the state. The party said it was convinced that there was “massive corruption” in the administration of the state under Fashola. In a statement by the party, the state PDP Chairman, Chief Tunji Shelle, made the call on Sunday, after a church service to mark his birthday. Shelle alleged that the government was already trying to hide the massive misappropriation of public funds by gagging its officials. He said, “Recently, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Mr. Adeyemi Ikuforiji, talked about plans by House committees to begin the probe of ministries in the state. “This move, we learnt, has been vehemently opposed by Fashola and the leadership of the Action Congress of Nigeria.” Shelle said there was a need for the government to give statistics on projects it was handling and allow the public to have access to such information to know if its claims were true or false. He said, “What Fashola, a so-called progressive governor, has done is to warn his commissioners never to speak to the media on the state projects as well as activities in their ministries.” http://www.punchng.com/news/pdp-urges-efcc-to-probe-fashola-administration/
Lagos State Govt publishes a quartely report of its earnings and expenditure, why dont you start there & use whatever info there to hold them to accountability than crying wolf? |
are you insane if you think to become a leader is has easy as you think why dont you flag up your own party my bros to rule or to lead is the most difficult job ever in these world so what ever you got from your leaders take it a and stop these houseboy dustbin shit
Its obvious you have never held any position of authority or responsibility & if you continue like this, you would never |
Sincere 9gerian: "It is only a wicked soul that will celebrate Nigerian Rail over Light Rail in Lagos; PH &Abuja"I will acknowledge that it helps economically as goods like petroleum products can be transported resulting in less pressure on our highways but i totally disagree with the social aspect of it, because, instead of giving nigerians hope of comfortable journey, you subject them/ force down a 30 hour journey down their throats after spending trillions of naira? & u ask me to celebrate that? NEVER!!! Let me provide you wt my own 1st hand experience of NRC rail service. We organised an excursion train ride for our children from Mushin rail platform to Ijoko & back. We took over 2 coaches from NRC, got cleaners to go over to Iddo Terminus, scrubbed the 2 coaches from ceiling to floor including the toilets. Rented 4 armed mobile policemen for security & guess what, the ACs didnt work & we had to rely on Fans and open window which the children enjoyed. Train was exceedingly slow and other coaches were overcrowded but thankfully, it was an uneventful journey. More More More needs to be done to achieve 1950 rail service level. In the 21st century, what our successive govts have spent trillions on is crimminally unacceptable |
sure way: @Educationalist GUK..l strongly disagree with your No 1..."lagos is building from d scratch"Bros, if Lagos is not building from scratch, what is it doing? Building on alrady existing infrastructure? U r the one who needs to educate yourself before coming here to post. You can also take a trip down to National Theatre and going and see with your eyes. You can drive down from Orile to Volks and see the road works and expansion. You can go read about landowners and building owners that have bn compensated for their demolished buildings. Pls educated yourself |
Sincere 9gerian: "The federal railway line if you recall had been under going refurbishment since the PTF days of abacha thru to OBJ and Yar'adua then GEJ"Mr Man, pls educate yourself http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/02/inside-the-jinxed-train-n3-7tr-may-go-down-the-drain/ |

Sincere 9gerian: Very shameful indeed. 14yrs after ACN rule and 6yrs of emperor Fashola's reign they'r still looking for FUNDS to complete the Lagos light rail project. Very very shameful. What have they been doing since 1999? And to now imagine that the same project would have been completed in the 80s by Jakande (God bless him)? For those who need to be educated, (1) There is no basis of comparison between Lagos Light Rail project & Nigerian Railway Corporation. Lagos is building from scratch but NRC had existed for decades, t4, they have existing Rail stations but Lagos have to build theirs from scratch. (2)Lagos Rail was proposed in 2003. Work commenced in Dec 2008. By all known standards for a project of this size, the duration is not out of the ordinary. (3)As for the NRC, we who are known as Nigerians should all cover our faces in shame. I wonder how any rationale human being can celebrate 1900's rail line in 2013. NO IMPROVEMENT, i repeat NO IMPROVEMENT in terms of modernisation have been made to the coaches and tracks except to refurbish the engines; check the tracks for damage and get the trains runing again and we have spent TRILLIONS of =N= to achieve a 30 hour journey to Kano, almost 3ce the time it will take a vehicle. (4)Trillions of =N= since the days of OBJ wen Greg Ilukwe,a Septagerian was made Sole Administrator 2ce over and billions went to waste. It is only a wicked soul that will celebrate Nigerian Rail over Light Rail in Lagos; PH & Abuja |
hmmm
