Zionmdde: Was it not tinubu that bought the busses?
The day I saw the convoy of city boy busses, I felt more pity for Nigeria than I have ever felt. A country that if you need emergency health service, you will like be gone before any public ambulance (if there is one) gets to you Those buses are never paid for. They are leased from transport companies or sellers and returned after use. The painting you see on them is like wall paper. They are easily torn after use. Unfortunately, City Boy movt has zero strategy & thats why the public display of the Cubanas and Zenco was counter productive. The way to use Zenco is to influence market leaders to UnderG give him like 200k votes.....enough to show workings & enough not to affect P.O.'s millions of votes. Traditionally, Igbos never vote Yorubas or Hausas, so it was just a bad strategy! |

DeLaRue: Some on Nairaland even say Cardoso knows nothing and that he's only CBN Governor be ause he is Yoruba. You just have to shake your head.
Recently, Mr Otedola said Mr Cardoso is the best CBN Governor in Nigeria's history. I have been saying that here on Nairaland for the best part of a year.
Now, Mr Elemelu is singing a similar chorus.
Many African Central Bank Governors are rushing to learn the mini miracle that the Nigerian CBN has performed in the past 2 years.
If you give me the option of Mr Cardoso, Mr Sanusi, and Mr Soludo,I will pick Mr Cardoso without blinking an eye because an unsung general who has led an army in a near-calamitous war, and won, is better that a flamboyant general who talks a good game but has never been to any war. The miracle is simple........Professionalism!!!! 1. Denied "big men" from turning CBN into ATm machines where they used to go in and collect cash and dollars as and when needed (thats why the Northern elite hate Asiwaju........no free money from CBN.....even for dem so called big industrialists) 2. Agreed with his bosses i.e. Finance Minister and President that there shall be no political interference. 3. Brought Banking Supervision dept to Lagos as thats where they are needed 4. Weeded out professionally all the GFs & connected children of elites who were not ready to work 5. You cant see him hanging around or wining and dining with Bank MDs & Executives becos he doesnt need any favours from them. Hes a standalone guy 6. Took Forex to an open and transparent market where connections were not needed 7. He did not spare any bank who messed up......................they are all well behaved now and there is less news of Board & Mgt shenanegans in banks To show you how are stable economy brings about confidence, go and ask the Airline companies how many young people flew to china for business in the last quarter 2025............................tens of thousands, just becos FOrex was stable and predictable the entire 2025 |

SmartPolician: I don't know if this is related to the topic, but I just want to share it.
I recently had an interview with a US company that has a juicy pay package. The interview was between an HR AI system and myself. You will just be conversing with your computer and your video interview will be recorded. I didn't see that coming. The AI was throwing questions at me and I was answering them. Afterwards, it told me to ask it a tough question in my field. I did and it answered it correctly.
In my view, with the way things are going in today's world, we need to start telling people we know not to bother studying HRM at the university anymore because they don't have a job anymore 🫣. That company I interviewed with was an AI development company. The moment they fully commercialize that AI tool, many HR people will be jobless as AI will start doing their job. Believe it or not, this is the future of recruitment. I was privileged to view an AI HR software beta version. The AI software helps you to prepare for the real interview. It wil research the company and the role you applied for plus what you wrote in your CV & interview you accordingly. The questions the Ai tool was asking were intelligent scenario questions, but my reason for replying you is that HRM students or graduates will not be redundant if AI is part of their curriculum and you can never rule out human involvement in the building of an AI tool, hence, HRMs will be be needed but only fewer than currently required, so they need to up their game by specializing in unique areas of HR with good knowledge of AI |

Any tax authority can request for your bank transactions in their jurisdiction. Also recollect that social media companies have been asked to open Nigerian offices, so when they file their taxes, a list of whom they made payments to is available to tax authorities..................just do the needful & quit complaining. If you run abroad & open a business account, you will be sent a form to confirm where you pay tax...in their country or abroad. I was not allowed to open a proper business account in south africa because i claim nigeria as my tax domain. they only allowed me to operate a Non Dom account which was very restrictive. I could only deposit my own money into it, i couldnt receive payment from customers unless i was willing to pay their local tax |

Its better for them to start ECL and take on less difficult teams or else dem go mess them up with beating for Champions league and that can be demoralizing. They also dont have a big enough squad to compete effectively in 4 major tournaments: Premiership; Carabao; FA cup & Europe at the same time. Let them start from smaller European cup and grow into Europa and then Champions league |

Because Lagos has a habit. And a certain tribe at the federal level has turned it into sport—the systematic liquidation of Igbo wealth. It’s never about law, justice, or national interest. It’s about power, fear, and envy.
Just ask Landmark Beach—razed in broad daylight under the thin veil of development. No hearing. No humanity. Just bulldozers. Or Emefiele—whatever you think of him, his estate in Abuja didn’t grow wings. It was seized, swallowed by the same system that feeds on Igbo sweat.
This isn't about politics. It’s about survival. Strategy. Sovereignty. God gives warnings with grace—but He doesn’t repeat Himself.

Nairaland General › Re: ARM Pension Employee Accuses Director Of Rape At Office Party by Guk: 5:50am On Mar 12, 2025 |
Is this case dead? Newsextra014: An employee of ARM Pension has come forward with allegations of sexual assault against a senior executive during an office party. Ogochukwu Odogwu, an HR Business Partner at the firm, accuses Abisola Onigbogi, the Executive Director of Technical, of raping her after what was supposed to be a night of celebration turned into a harrowing experience. As Odogwu bravely shares her ordeal, she calls for justice and the urgent intervention of authorities to hold her alleged assailant accountable. Dear Opeyemi,
My name is Ogochukwu Odogwu (formerly Temitayo-Omotere), and I am 36 years old. I work at ARM Pension as an HR Business Partner. I would like to officially report that I was sexually assaulted—specifically, I was abducted and raped by Abisola Onigbogi, the Executive Director of Technical at ARM Pension, on the night of July 18, 2024, during an office party. Abisola Onigbogi, who works at ARM Pension, No. 5 Mekuwen Road, off Oyinkan Abayomi Drive, Ikoyi, had penetrative sexual intercourse with me without my consent.
The assault occurred at a hotel where I woke up to find myself, called Limeridge Hotel at Chevron Drive, Lagos.
On the evening of the office party, like every other staff member, I had food and drinks. I mixed a small amount of Jameson whiskey and Coke. The whiskey bottle was opened by Francisca Azie at the table where I was seated with other colleagues. However, being part of the planning committee, I had to stand up from my table at intervals to coordinate the serving of food and, at those times, left my drink, food, and other personal effects in the care of Damilola Oluyori (07085757685), a colleague and friend.
My last memory of the party was around 7:30-8:00 p.m. However, Dami claimed that I mentioned to her that I was tipsy and could not drive, so she offered to find a way for me to go home. She then approached Abisola Onigbogi to drop me off since he lived around the same area as I do. I live at Femi Okunnu Phase 4 Estate, Jakande Lekki. Along with the Jameson whiskey, which was about ¼ of a plastic cup, I had one cocktail from the bar—that is the last I remembered.
I lost total memory of every conversation and activity. My last memory of the night was from 7:30 p.m., and my entire memory was wiped out, which was very unusual, even for someone who might have drunk excessively, which I didn’t. I have quite a good alcohol tolerance from precedent.
The next thing I knew, I woke up and realized I was in a room, fully undressed. I looked around and realized it was a hotel. I found my clothes in a pile, along with my wig, phone, and handbag. I checked the time, and it was around 3:00 a.m. My private parts were sore, bruised, and painful. I have also formally reported this incident to the Head of HR, who is my boss, with the Managing Director and another Executive Director in copy.
This incident has badly disrupted my life. I am a single mother with two kids, and my mental and physical state has been significantly impacted. I need to take care of and show up for my kids in all of this.
I sent Abisola a message that Friday morning asking why he didn’t ask Dami or any of my other colleagues for my address if he truly intended to drop me at my house, to which he had no response. I did not have any conversation with Abisola Onigbogi or give any consent to be involved with him in any personal way. At the party, he asked me to come sit with him, and I refused, preferring to sit with my colleagues, with whom I was comfortable.
He took me against my will, most likely spiked my drink with the help of someone or by himself, took me to a destination I didn’t know or want to be, and raped me. It is beyond sad that I could not be safe at an office function, and instead, my whole world has been overturned. |

Will they increase wages( but this happens to be a curse in Nigeria, Government raises the minimum wage everything other thing will be expensive!) the money made from subsidy removal will be for what exactly?. Nigeriayouthmov: This is the time to build the structure of labour party against 2027. If we had labour party governors in Edo and rivers State and LGA chairmen, we won't be bullied like we were in the just concluded election.
I am from Edo and I have plans to run for any office at all just to hold it for labour party and most preferably LGA chairman or state house of Assembly. Who have an idea his much the form cost and process involved. Suggestions needed urgently!!! #just saying: If Peter Obi eventually loses in the court, he will likely move on from LP. If he doesnt move on, LP will have to build structure as it cannot depend on the aura of Peter Obi to succeed. Dont let any one fool you, lack of structure cost LP a lot of votes. Funding is key in success of any organization, does LP have the funding? Again, you cant keep relying on the aura of Peter Obi. LP in Edo state, depends on if they win the State assembly elections on 11th march and governorship election next year. Remember, Adams Osiomole won Edo as LP candidate, there should still be some LP loyalist from back then who can help secure Edo for LP LP should consolidate as a strong regional party and then build bridges and form alliances with North Central; North East and North West, or else, they wont do as well as they did this time. All the best in your endeavours |

Alot of Nigerians rushing to school in uk will learn soon. As a post graduate degree student, you are officially allowed 20 hours a week to work & average of 10pounds per hour gives you 800pounds a month....roughly N600k a month.
