Can I DM you, please? I'll like to get some info from you about birthing in Edmonton, if possible.
I'll be in your DMs

Best regards,

daks02:
Hello everyone,
So my sister gave birth recently in Edmonton, just want to share some brief details.
I found a gynae for her before she landed, she got a referral from my family doctor, paid $120 for that. I called around and we shortlisted 2, the first one (a group of ob-gyn) was going to collect $3000 for delivery and $250/visit. The second has a fee breakdown for delivery and payment of $250/first visit and $120/subsequent visits so we chose him because the first didn’t really explain his fees.
Well the doc she signed up with didn’t end up taking the delivery as he was away, so the ob on call did it. She paid $2200 for his fee, $500 for anaesthesia and total hospital( fee was $8800

There were also some other small fees but I can’t remember now. My advice is to research well, I was only able to get this information because I am a resident and I kept telling them that she’s my sister. Birth tourism isn’t very popular here

Better you let sleeping dog lie.
The said guy have apologised and besides you don't know the ralationship between your sister and the guy.
There's a reason she told u not to go further with the matter.

What is letting sleeping dog lie? That's how we will be normalising and encouraging rape. What is to say he won't try it again, and next time, succeed.

Report the rapist to the police.

This one is little compared to the 2yrs heart break of DPR and worse is even getting to interview level and meeting people that have less technical background, at the end of it all is on nairaland i found out that they have finished recruitment and some people were employed at director level... I pray this is not one of such kind and God will at this time restore the years that we have loss. Amen

DPR broke me, bro. It was my first experience and I was naive as to how recruitment worked in Nigeria, until inexperienced personnel were recruited to fill EH positions, then it dawned on me.
It was an eye opener. A painful one, but at least I got to know how things work in that sphere.

Please, I want to state here that my comments are not meant to discourage anyone, they are meant to expose the realities of recruitment to the fore.
Perform well at the test and interview, but goan pray. Pray hard for grace. The grace that God will connect you to a helper, because people who didnt partake in the process may be amongst the first to be issued APL.
Everyday I pray concerning this recruitment. I'm not banking on performance or any such thing.

Too many irregularities in this recruitment exercise so far.
That's why some things sound unbelievable.

I know someone who wasnt contacted but still used his orignal password (sent to him in october) and he wrote the test..

Anybody who didn't write because they didn't see a text or mail just shortchanged themselves

What good would it do anybody to produce a fake rejection notification? I initially thought it was a retake for everyone, until a very close friend of mine got the reject text as well.
See the attached conversation we had before he got the text.
By the way, no one owes anyone proof of anything here. What you see is what you get.

eddieo:
I agree with you. The regret message was fake. Many of them went to firm WhatsApp groups and someone on that WhatsApp group was playing a fast one on them there. They should have waited to see rejection mails which never surfaced. The second test was a rewrite

DPR shenanigans was heartbreaking, bro. I built castles in the air. I remember bragging to my dad about my performance and how I was sure of securing the job.
Until Nigeria happened.

Chai! Stop reminding me about the bitter experience of DPR. Is unfortunate how those of us that were interviewed were completely ignored. So sad but we move!

@Newcastle2023 sounds like one Marvel from eons ago.

Newcastle2023:
Tomorrow, the 2nd of February, 2021, is our boss, the Executive Secretary's 55th Birthday.

He is sure a shining light in the Oil and Energy Industry in Nigeria. It will be great to work with him for his remaining 3 years and 7 months at the helm of affairs at the board.

I look forward to be in a position to send him a beautiful 56th Birthday gift as a member of staff next year.

Let's be patient and wait for the board to reach us. The next stage is the oral interview and would be the last. The recruitment process would most likely be brought to a close in this month of February.

Let's hope and pray for the best. I have an undying desire to work with the board. I share completely in their vision and 6 core values of Patriotism, Professionalism, Passion, Integrity, Creativity and Team Spirit.

All the best to you all.

Hey guys, can anyone advice me on what do..I'm always hungry even after eating a heavy meal. Like today for example, I ate five wraps of fufu and two hours later I was already feeling hungry. And it's really affecting me, I'm not greedy buy no matter what I eat it digests so fast that my stomach starts rumbling . Please help me.

You are probably suffering from a condition called reactive hypoglycemia. What happens is insulin production goes into overdrive after meals high in carbohydrates, leading to blood sugar level going low, consequently causing you to crave food.

I suffered same for a long time and was helpless. After much studies and research, I simply changed my diet, and everything changed.

Cut out the fufu, bread, rice... carbs in general.
Eat protein dense foods, moderate fat like olive oil, fish, butter and less carbohydrates and see if anything changes. I did that and got rid of the constant craving for food.

I'm speaking from experience.

What nonsense is going on here? So things have degenerated to the point that demigods are now threatening people with one recruitment that ended eons ago.
I blame the desperados who are clutching at straws, begging for information on what is non-existent.
Give it a rest, people. DPR recruitment ended a long time ago. The owners of the country have filled all the roles. Don't let people take you for a ride.
Good night.

Is it a coincidence that 3 pastors have been disgraced in few months and many more to come? Islam will soon take over Nigeria cos shameful incidents like this will make many Christians convert to Islam sad

Are you sure it doesn't take much skill? I think you are mistaken but I won't begin to speak on that.
When I say oilfield, I'm not talking NNPC. Those ones are a financial sinkhole and money launderers. I'm talking private sector. And trust me, we have competent professionals in Local Oil (Servicing) Companies.

I guess we can officially call it a day. DPR was done and dusted last year. This disclaimer should serve as a form of closure to the hopefuls and naysayers.

The only regret I have from this experience is that the Presidency wasn't petitioned on this matter as planned by a few of us here.

Again, the open letter wouldn't have yielded much in my opinion, but just for posterity sake, it would have been a great idea, so our younger ones know what this country is actually about. You know "the internet never forgets".

Another recruitment is going to be conducted in the future, and some naive people would be taken for a ride like we were, with the whole "merit" story.

It's the same in all circles of government agencies. I have it on good authority that someone in the presidency has reserved about 200 slots for himself in the ongoing NNPC recruitment. Let that sink in, so you know the state of the country we're in.
