they can vote against the CEO of a company yes... but they cant vote against the owner... in some cases.. the owner is the CEO like in the case of dangote... but imagine dangote resigns as CEO, he is still the owner but can appoint some1 else as the CEO.... hope you understand?

fine... Dangote could not buy arsenal because the arsenal owner (Kreonke) was not willing to sell, and yes... the board can GIVE ADVICE to dangote not to buy the club yet... but if he insists... it's his company and they can do nada about it..

Now... as the owner of a company (if you have above 50% ordinary shares in the company), you have control over the company and can appoint and sack your board of directors... board of directors are people appointed by the shareholders (owners of the company) to help run the company..

Also you need to understand the difference between Dangote, Mark Zuckerberg, May Weather & others. These three men are rich, but are they the boss of their own money? You see the way May Weather shows off his money & Dangote or Mark do not. It's not because of they're business men. But because May Weather is the boss of his money and Dangote is not.

What do i mean by that. I believe you know what they call "Board of Directors" & "Shares". If Dangote should want to buy an island now, it's from he's "shares" that he pay from. And if he should spend the money unnecessary, he will be either cautioned by the board of directors or they might decide to suspend or kick him out of he's own company. Yes it's possible. Because they also have shares in the company too. Which means they have control over the company. These same goes for Mark. There are board of directors in Facebook.

But does May Weather have board of directors? Nope. He handles he's business himself. In the ring. When he fights.

So please, change that mentality that the rich do not need to show off their wealth.
