Please I'll go straight to the point. I recently got a scholarship to study abroad (was offered the scholarship about 5 days ago), and I'm to submit my international passport latest Friday June 25.
Due to my humble background, I didn't do the passport before I was offered the scholarship because I'm also a student of a federal university here in Nigeria, and i believe you know what that means.

My problem now is any immigration office I've gone to, they've been telling me that the new rule ( introduced last week) is there's no way they can do passport under three days again, it must be ready in six weeks time. The only way they said they can help is if I get my admission letter so that they can register me under emergency section. Meanwhile, we were called to be notified of the offer, we are yet to receive any official document. I emailed them but they said the letter isn't ready yet.

Now I'm dejected � Please good people of Nairaland, I'm here to humbly seek for advice and connection, please help me out with your connection. I can't afford to lose this fully funded scholarship. Thank you all

What is the name of the University?.... which country?... did you apply?... what's so special about you that they will offer you full scholarship? ... are they housing you? How are you u getting there?... passport no be ticket.

Honestly, I'm tired of staying at home after graduation. Please guys, is it possible for one to meet up with NYSC mobilization by July if one sees his final year second semester result in this month of June?

That could only be possible if your Department releases the results and they all get approved by the school same week. In addition to that, you finish clearance just same week while the Senate list is sent to Jamb at thesame time.

This is however not possible as it really takes time and processes.

When you can buy a good, solid Samsung phone.

I work as a lecturer in a monotechnic, and since 2018, we have seen an upsurge in the number of students driving exotic vehicles in the campus. But since we resumed from the COVID-19 lockdown late last year, the number of students with such cars and weird lifestyles have increased.

The situation have become so worrisome because of all the vices associated with this new student status have increased tremendously. These include

- examination malpractices
- absenteeism from classes, practicals and even examinations
- indecent dressing and make ups by male students
- fighting dangerously among yahoo boys gangs
- assault on other students
- assault on lecturers and other workers
- asking female lecturers out (sometimes including married women)
- over speeding on campuses (roads in most campuses are very narrow)
- upsurge in the intake of alcohols, hard substances including weeds
- lack of respect for anyone including institution's management members.

There was the case of such a students who insulted his school rector and was suspended by the school SDC only for a high court judge to issue and order reversing the suspension a week later for lack of what the judge called fair hearing.

These are just a few of the new tendencies lecturers and other workers now witness in our work places.

My question is where is this country heading?
Is there any solution to this menace?
For I know for sure is that there is always a repercussion for these.
Do we really have a future in these?

There's really no future if care is not taken. Most problems also stem from poor family upbringing and lack of good parental care with clueless negligence.
