A lot of us have issues with these beliefs though we still call ourselves Christians. I'm one of them. The more I think the more confused I become concerning a lot of things.

But I still take solace in the fact I didn't become a Christian merely to escape Hell fire or any other punishment that await the sinners and ungodly.

I have enough faith to believe God is real. But most of the events surrounding religion don't make much of a sense to ME.

@bolded, considering your discussions here on nl and your input in varying topics, I also came to the conclusion that it wouldn't make much sense to you and i'm glad I was right. But I do understand that it is hard to just throw away a belief that has been taught to you from birth and is being practiced by your parents and a vast majority of people.
