Great contributions.

Cc: dfrost, ideykwum, AgapeCharis.
With 20k, a domain name, hosting and a wordpress premium crowd funding template can be purchased.

Is there a registered name for the idea?

Has a corporate account been created to receive funds?

Who will be in charge of the funds?

How will projects worth pursuing be determined?

Will it be necessary to employ staff or will volunteers be considered?

etc.

These are just a few points that have to be considered

Hmmmn.

I keep getting the feeling that something isn't quite in place yet for this idea to be successful.

Maybe it's because I don't have a blackberry account and I'm therefore biased.

OR,

I am still being subject to the general notion that anything African is substandard.

Anyway, sir, I implore you to create a Facebook and/or whatsapp channel for some of us who don't have BB pins. cheesy
It's just #10 for crying out loud. Not something I can't contribute.

Also, I am expecting a very coordinated structure. I mean, who is in charge? Of what?
And how will the money be distributed to entrepreneurs? Or is this just another differently packaged cooperative society? grin

I am reminded of a certain show I used to watch when I was little, I think it was join AIT. titled "Dragon's den" or so. Where people with ideas come to talk to people with money. I don't know if anyone remembers that. I did love the idea and the show too. grin

Anyway, I totally love this. And . . . . keep me posted. cool

Cc robinhez. cheesy dearpreye
I believe what this really needs is a website, which includes a forum, built on a crowd funding template. That way, a donation button can be added.

This project is too big to restrict to only bbm. I am actually working on something similar myself and the idea is still being developed.

This is EXACTLY what I was talking about.
You atheists are a Sad lot.
Instead of admiring the beauty of this creation. You are here "bursting the myth in the picture".
Who asked u to burst it? Why not admire the awesomeness of nature for what it is?
You are so fixated in disproving God that you have no time to enjoy the wonders of nature, the beauty of creation. It's to go up and down bursting myths and doing your best to render ordinary the things that should naturally fill you with a sense of joy and euphoria. 'Amazing' is just another scientific explanation for you. What a bleak lot!

Wouldn't wanna be ya for anything grin Your view on life is most pitiful cheesy

If this is the type of lunacy it takes to be a theist, denying obvious clear explanations just to cling to already destroyed myths.

Just look above you and find out. They have started hurling vitriol all over the place. Like I said, Instead of them to appreciate the beauty for what it is, they'd rather start a fight over it. I even hinted that I had read about it by mentioning 'vertical sedimentation' and giving examples of liquid bodies like salt water and freshwater, and oil and water mix, but they didnt see that, they were too busy trying to prove to themselves that another ignorant christian was thinking it was magic that created this phenomenon and went all out to quickly prove thier atheist stand. Bwahahaha grin

They just proved me right, theyd rather fight/prove than admire! grin

Jcross, TruetoGod, thruthman, dolphineheart, perishbookaddict, ishilove pls come in and help here.
My own very brief story.
@Ops, just like you, I asked these questions not very long ago. I found it really unfair that I shd be brought into this world to suffer and then still die and go to hell. I swore never to get married and never to raise children whom will evetually endup in hell for no fault of theirs. I was angry that I wasn't asked if I wanted to come to this world, how come it never depended on me to decide if I would or would not choose to be a human being, then why will it now depend on me to choose if I will want to go to heaven or not? I was so full of questions. What is the essence of this stupid brief life on earth and then eternity in hell? Why was I brought here in the first place? Who am I? This let me to delve into a lot of searching. I had a lot of time on my hands, because I had an accident which threatened my life and kept me down for Ten whole yrs. So I read, everything printed in English language I read.
All the ways seemed like the right ways, but something caught my attention JESUS CHRIST. He was the bone of contention. All the religions of the world had something to say about him but he(Jesus) said nothing about them. At this point I bought a bibl and I went into the studie of the character of Jesus. The prohecies long before he was born. His life and philosophies, his teachings, his relationship with people around him. His love and compassion for the weak and lowly. AND most of all his prophesies concerning the future occurances.
And I started checking to find out if all these were true. (Remember that at this time, I was out there sincerely lost and searching). Yes Jesus' prophecies are getting fulfilled, must got fulfilled long ago. Today most of them are getting fulfilled. Again, I saw that there was something about jesus. All the religions/cults don't have a problem with God, but they all have a problem with who Jesus is, and I asked whyhuh. My search let me to discover a lot of things. In the mist of my search I fell in love with jesus, his person, teachings and all. No other leader in the world came close to what he is.
Then I started searching for purpose. I discovered that I am here for him(God) not for myself, and until I realise that and start doing what he setout for me to do here on earth, I'll keep being confused and lost.
My dear muslim friend. Let the fear of hell not get u. If u go to God because u are afraid of going to hell, that won't be a good motive. Look for love. Is there love in you? Look away from people around us practicing these religions, look at jesus and mohammed/allah, where can u find love? Pls follow ur heart.
@ bolded, what about people who discovered something through Mohammed?

Those guys are trying to feed their families, pay school fees, not trying to bankroll their governorship campaigns. If they do rituals now, una go complain,if they do drugs now, una go vex... If they block you in traffic and shatter your glasses to get your phone and wallet, we'd come here and lament.

Relocate them, get them a space.. Not throwing away their wares na. Better still, get them jobs.

Modified :
For those quoting me, saying it's law, and yet to quote the law... One day, God forbid, you may be in their shoes, then, you'd understand.

I'm not saying they should litter the state with their wares, I'm saying get them alternatives first. It's like banning hawking in traffic. Those guys, for example could sell 3 cartons of gala and lacasera in a day there... That's like 6k a day (do the math a month), what of that woman, with 3kids and a drunk for a husband, selling pure water and vegetables to feed her kids?

For God's sake, this is Nigeria, not America. America or other developed countries have measures for these folks, Nigeria is yet to fight corruption or provide basic amenities, and yet, we're trying to fight micro finance traders.

Some said, they should get shops! Really? How many can afford most shopping complex or shops in Lagos, that are given out in millions of naira couple with multiple taxes?

Why not arrest the trader, and their goods... Why the goods only o? Why destroy the goods?

For your information, those seized goods will be consumed by the same KAI official... Who's fooling who?
And since when did Nigerians start understanding the truth? undecided
