Man was created in the image of God then we got perverted by Satan, whom he created, and lost our estate! In this fallen state we are more like Satan whose end is the lake of fire. We adopted imperfection and sin through disobedience...

But for God not to fail in His purpose for creating man, he already failed by creating evil as well He sacrifice His only begotten son so there was no better way to amend his mistake? undecided for our disobedience or do you mean for the way we were created so that through His obedience, that led to resurrection, we may have eternal life. So, any man who doesn't have Jesus Christ has an automatic death sentence (total annihilation of body, soul and spirit) hanging on his/her neck. And you feel comfortable with this despite the fact that there millions of people that were raised up in different beliefs including women and children

If God's righteous judgement did not spare Satan who use to be an angel of light but condemned and reserved him for total destruction in the lake of fire, who is man that the Lord would spare for going the way of Satan? Satan's way was and will always be rebellion against his creator!

You have only succeeded in proving that your god is barabaric, incompetent and has ego issues

All sinners who reject salvation through Christ Jesus would share Satan's fate; it's as simple as that! God is a righteous judge!

What exactly is righteous about burning people for a sin that you created them with? You really need to check the meaning of righteous in your dictionary or do christians have a different dictionary? undecided

Sir, if you own a cooperation for an instance and your subordinates are rebelling against you despite all your efforts to have a cordial and personal relationship with them even after they disobeyed an injunction you gave them when you employed them, you have the power to sack them but didn't, still loved and cared for them and even sacrificed your position and came down to their level to show them what's best for them, hoping that that they will make the right choices without you compelling them and forcing them without any choice of their own, but with a definite day of judgement in mind to judge all them, according tho those that accepted your sacrifice for them and those that refused it vehemently, would you fold your hands and watch everything you have built be tumbled over by some rebellious workers and not do something to put an end to the decay that their rebellion has brought about?
@bolded, why are you comparing the decision of a man with a supposedly almighty god?

Answer this question, if YOU are god, will you create evil in men and then punish them for it?

This actually happened to me in an argument with a pastor last week. He said dreams are good platform god usually use when talking to his followers, i continued hammering on him that dreams is not verifiable externally and that it is not a pathway to finding out whether an information is true or not.

I ended the silly argument when i asked him "if i approach you tomorrow and tell you that i had a dream and god ask me to tell you that am the rightful owner of your new car, will you allow me to own the car?"
He'll probably tell you that it's the devil that spoke to you since you're not anointed tongue

So, what do our theists have to say?

Christianity Etc › Re: Why I Stopped Going To Church by hahn(m): 7:26am On Sep 20, 2015
Typical. Most pastors prefer to enslave their church "workers" in the guise of "working for the lord" while they rake in all the profits of the offering and tithes.

I remember having a friend in Christ embassy and he was the personal assistant to one of their pastors. One day, he told me that he had gotten an admission into an American university and he needed my help with processing it. At the time, I was still facing lots of hardship and I was surprised he would ask me for help. I then told him to tell the pastor since he was close to her and that she could easily raise the subject in church and ask for donations towards the cause. He looked at me and said, "if I tell her she will do everything she can to ensure that I am unable to make the trip." As a matter of fact, that wasn't his first time gaining admission and the last time she did all she could to ensure he didn't make the trip. When I considered everything he was doing for her and the church I just asked him, "then why bother working for her at all?".

I lost my own faith in religion as far back as I can remember. One day, when I was younger, my mom forced me to church for Sunday school. As soon as we sat down in the church, the pastor preaching said and i quote, "some people feel the church is a bank where you can come and withdraw money after making donations. If you have any financial problems, don't come and bother the church as we will not be able to help you." My mom just opened down her mouth and then I asked her for the keys to the house and went back home to continue my sleep.

Sorry op. You realized too late that you were only being used.

At least two of those guys are not dead when the pictures were taken, as seen in the first two photos.
People around there didn't call for ambulances, but stand around to take pics, and watch the victims bleed to death!

They finally get loaded into a pick up van like pieces of trash after they're dead. Such a pity.

There's a need for the solution for the root cause, without which we can only succeed to debate the general problem over and over again. Like the other poster said after restating problems we all should have known for some time now, "he spends almost all of his time figuring it out." At this juncture the answer to that question is what can I do right now towards the greater goal and this answer can only be found inwards, not from the government, the youths or the few open minds. When you find that answer, only then can you procreate more from it through a rubbing of open minds. We all have a part to play.

Brother, read the comment below. I was hoping for such an answer.

Teempakguy:
the ears of a fraction of the nigerian youth.
The current educational system.
A nonchalant government.
A few open minds.
What can we do with the above?
I spend almost all of my time figuring it out.
I believe that will be enough. Most people would have given me an answer like the one above.

The truth is we don't have much. Most people try to avoid that fact and it is impossible to solve a problem without first identifying it's source and accepting the situation as it is. Until we, the youth, are in power there is little we can do as regards implementation of good policies, accountability, integrity etc, which are lacking, from the government.

However, what we have is enough. The few open minds available as well as the ears of the "fraction" of the Nigerian youths are good for a start. Uniting these people under one cause should be the next step because most of these people are on their own. Many times when I meet enlightened Nigerians who understand the true situation of the country and are motivated to make a change, they always seem delighted to meet a like mind simply because it is often rare to come across such people.

The people with great potential are scattered across the nation and like the proverbial broom, we are divided. We need to first unite everyone one under one movement. A movement that is built on trust, integrity, accountability where no ONE MAN is above the rules and with a clearly thought through vision as to what should be achieved.

Dubai was developed by people who had the vision and the will. And financial power, of course. And it used to be a desert. undecided

Nigeria is still in it's crude form and only needs to be properly refined to reach it's potential.

The bible is about the Jesus redeeming man from the kingdom of Darkness due to our sin.

John 1:29
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Hosea 13:14
I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues;

Now in those harry potter books where is that?
And when exactly is he going to do it? It's been more than 2000 years already undecided

I understand you.
However, I wish to state that this has to be a two way thing. If the system is to be revamped, then there should be a change in the way of thinking. Harvard and most other ivy league schools are actually private institutions. sad

So, while I am totally in agreement with this, I want it to be be added, a country wide change in mindset. Or people might just keep on buying their way into these universities.

That is by the way. I think you and I both know that your plans for the government as stated above may not be realized in this decade. So, why don't we use what we have NOW?
What do we have now?

I am beginning to agree that unfounded beliefs are dangerous to the intellectual growth of human kind.

One problem i have with religions is that it makes people comfortable with not knowing..

We don't know what makes a star, ok simply say "God did it" and forget how it actually happened..

If man continued thinking like this i wonder where the world would still have been now...
Religion is like a double edged sword. It keeps the masses in check while suppressing their ability to reason for themselves while those who know the truth(pastors, imams etc) keep spreading the lies as they exploit the gullible.

Still working on my e-church grin
