What's happening with POP cement prices.. I quoted 6500 at the beginning of the turnkey project.

2-3weeks ago, I still confirmed 7,000 from my supplier, now 9,500...

I'm tired.

My brother, it's now ₦10K.


The problem is the very greedy vendors. They use dollar as an excuse, when dollar rates reduce, instead of reducing the price of the Pop cement, they'd rather increase it, Meanwhile Some of them bought it, while dollar was cheaper.


Na we dey do ourselves.

Unfortunately Not Some /Distributor/ Big vendors/Sellers only use dollar as excuse, but when dollar fall, they'd refuse to take the goods down to its Original price.

Most Suitable Products, are already ₦9,500 in Lagos , ₦8,400 in Onitsha.

PS: ABS is now being rebaged. Be careful of ABS. (Because of high rate of demand)
They're other Better & Suitable Products.

I don't know if I understand your question.

But I am assuming you are asking where since I have rebar, I have included big stones, don't know if it is appropriate to call those granite or gravel, maybe rocks is the appropriate word before pouring the concrete.

If that is your question, then let me share a question someone asked and the response he got which informs what I am doing.

Constant communication that's what I do with my clients, after submitting a quotation, to alert them on price change for the quote, immediately i get paid, Am on my own! So I buy all materials down in advance & excess.

Definitely, there would always be exceptions here and there and this was captured in my comment. If you are based in Nigeria but have funds/investments in some instruments that are outside the influence of the current naira debacle, then you're safe.

Not just salary earners, some businesses within Nigeria don't have the luxury of FC.

The 1080 sqm is the ceiling part of it? If the ceiling is not part of it! then He's not overcharging you.

Why don't we screed the entire house (internal and external) with 'normal black cement?' Isn't it cheaper and more durable than screeding with POP cement? What are the pros of screeding internal walls with POP cement rather than with black cement? Thanks!

Rightly Said✓ Actually it is! The only pros is that it has a finer finishing (Aesthetically).. Client preference (A client of mine, rejected Black cement Screeding for his internal Space.)

Yes, it would reduce your cost, but you still have to buy normal black cement for external screeding, As Pop cement isn't suitable for external screeding.

Bolu1986 hamtabfawaz please help access this.. I told my pop guy that I need the lines in picture A [/b]in the design I gave him and he is saying that the lines can't enter there pic B..

[b]The initial design was pic C but he said the boxes won't fit in so, I had to reduce to a box in 2 sides with those lines in the other 2 places, which we agreed on, only for him to tell me a different story this morning.. In fact, the lines were to be where he fixed the boxes and the boxes were he left empty.. I am already annoyed with the entire change he did without telling me, I don't even know how to react.. Please can those lines still be fixed? Different excuses from the lines won't enter to it will be a waste of materials bla bla bla

Are you talking about the black belt lines? If Yes, He can still fix it, provided that there's still materials.

For the initial design, The boxes obviously can't fit in considering the space, if he adds those boxes the design would be choking (too close) it can only fit a wider space (not just lengthy).
