Hello,

Where are the interior designers and/or decorators here?

I need someone that can jump on a small project, work through the holidays to deliver an apartment in Lekki within a short period.
The property was recently finished so we just need to do all the necessary interior work required for habituation by the new year.

There is a particular ID here that has wowed me in the past but now i can't remember their name.

This is open to all but we prefer to work directly with main vendor.no middle men. Job is in Lekki, Lagos.
Will like to get inspection, concept discussion and quotation done over the weekend so that work can be done immediately after the Xmas break.

Dear professionals
Please, my soak away floor basement was leaking water, the floor was prepared laying nylon and pouring concrete before block setting (that's around March), we prepared 6 head pan of sharp sand, 4 pan of 3/4 down granite and 1 bag of cement, it was poured dried without water so as to soak up the water from the leakage while it blocked the leakage surface... But it failed...
What can I do or which chemicals can I use to stop the water leakage?

my brother can already casted pop boards be left unused on the ground for 5 months or is there a disadvantage of not fixing it immediately. Will it shrink? Bend?

in 5 months it would get really dry.... it could damage, if not properly kept on a platform & away from water, it would bend when fixing after 5months.
It should be used within a month and be screeded after fixing/hanging.
I have not had any reason to keep a casted Pop board for 5months, I wouldn't recommend doing that.

PS: Pop cement should never be kept on bare ground (if not in use).
Casted pop boards should not be kept on bare ground for a longer period.

The price varies depending on the quantity you might need, there is the powder dr fixit in small quantity around ₦3K, 1litre is around ₦6k while 20 litres is about ₦89 - 95k.

I'd recommend dr fix it.

Its could be, the best way to find out is from the local dealers to end users. No confirmation anybody bought it that price on this platform till date.

I doubt, if final consumers can get it at that rate.

Very true bro, when taking on building projects,millions begin to sound and feel like kobo, when i got th quotation i thought it was a fair deal, but going forward I'll get quotations from 2 or 3 vendors before making a choice.

Chairman of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee, Taiwo Oyedele, has said Nigerians should pray that the country’s refineries do not work.

Oyedele, who spoke at The Platform’s Independence Anniversary event, held in Lagos on Monday, said should Nigerian refineries produce petroleum, inefficiencies in the management might make a litre of petrol the most expensive in the world.

“Nigerians would say if only our refineries were working, then we’ll be fine. Nothing can be farther from the truth than that. In fact, Nigerians should come together and say please make sure that our refineries don’t work. We should sell them.

“If Nigerian refineries process crude oil, unless we deal with our inefficiency, one litre of petrol will be the most expensive in the world. You would have succeeded in replacing the subsidy at the pump with subsidy of the refineries,” he added.

“The National Assembly said we have spent over N10tn maintaining our refineries even when they have not produced anything,” Oyedele said during the event tagged ‘Africa Rising Continent – Nigeria’s Strategic Role’.

What is the estimated cost for labor? I received a quote of 950 naira per sqm from a nairalander.

What is the estimated cost of tiles to be used? I received 4 million for total cost of tiles. This is regular tiles not spanish.

In my place here, Argungu, Kebbi State, we buy it at the rate of 4,300 to 4,400/bag. I even bought 4 and half bags yesterday. I don't know whether its because of our proximity to Sokoto state.

On seeing this announcement later in the day by BUA, I am hoping ours around here won't even reach the N3,500 price.

I think it’s for optics , politics and other relevance . I know a distributor that has paid for over a month at the old price of 4650 from bua that is yet to get his supply . Time will tell

The bolded was also addressed by Bua in their official statement that “all pending orders that has been paid for at the old price & yet to be delivered would be reviewed downward to ₦3,500 per bag”.


Let's sit & watch optimistically how this unfolds.
