Congratulations Pojomojo and Mjblinks. May babies should stop doing over getle and shower is with lovely BA's and B.S like this. Safe and easy delivery to the others on queue. |
Food for students. When we'll prepared and garnished, very tasty. Sadly it's now expensive like everything else. |
Expectantmom:Sorry I took long. I can't list everything but one important thing is to trust your instincts. If you feel like something is wrong so bad you need professional help, go for it. One thing I'm very careful about is bleeding at any point especially if it's bright red. If it's much, and is accompanied by cramps, or is frequent can be a cause for worry and one should get checked out. Another thing is BP. I try to check that even randomly, in the hospital or a pharmacy. Never had it before, bit it's not something to joke with. Also water intake is very important. Most pregnant women don't like taking all types of water and your kidney is working harder now. Anytime your urine starts looking deep yellow, try to finish at least a litre odd water immediately and more after that. Treatment of infection is something some women don't take seriously. I've seen if cause extended stay in ICU for their babies. I also do my best to prevent, and I said prevent not treat, malaria. That thing can be very bad for pregnant women. I use my nets, I close doors and use insecticide religiously. I've never had it in any pregnancy, but I've seen it effects. No matter how expensive it may be, as far as it's confirmed in a good hospital that it's malaria, I would rather treat it than risk the consequences. That's what I can recall for now. |
Finally started ANC yesterday at 32 weeks ![]() Baby was measuring 30 weeks Sha on scan, and has decided that he/she will be Team surprise so I guess that's what I will go with. Tired of checking. Who else is tired like me? I can sleep 8+ hours and still need a nap or I become a zomby. And Braxton Hicks is not funny for me. Seriously, I can't have any form of nipple stimulation or BD without it getting pretty intense. It's making to avoid the other room because I don't want this baby any time soon. |
aboyaji:I would love to dig into this, with a hot cup of coffee and a book., |
Layormiii:I don't give my babies to drink, especially when they are less than a month old and not sick. I do bath them with leaves I collect myself though, no more than two types. I also use only unmixed black soap for them, and palm kernel oil only mixed with a bit of shea butter. I've noticed that herbs don't go well with all these 'modern soaps'. When my eldest was teething and had severe diarrhea, I had to get it for me and that was the only thing helped, along with frequent rehydration with ORS. If it's not necessary, it's best to avoid it. Their bodies are too fragile and their liver is not developed enough to start working on excessive variety of things. |
Halcyon123:Is kabewa not pumpkin? You hardly find that thing in the market, and if you do, it's so huge you can't finish it. Is there any way to preserve it? |
I can't find the rice |
Nigerians are yet to understand this, or more accurately, unwilling to understand it. |
Ezemarcel:I don't think it's enough for people to DYOR. Another phrase that's equally important is TRFA (take responsibility for your actions). Thanks for your alpha by the way. |
Mysamuels:Thanks. I will do fast fast |
Immarocks:I've also not gotten it right yet. I just know some things to avoid. Mine tastes like it has too much groundnut in it. Also, most of them wnot ever share their recipe, but one things that's sure is that bony meat called tantakwashi. Some use yakuwa to make it a bit sour and less sweet, maybe that's what I'm missing. |
Congratulations cuddlejoy. May her arrival continue to bring more blessings with it for you and yours. |
Revolution2022:These ones have nothing to lose, and drugs to gain. Some dont even know what they are killing for. Don't underestimate them. They also have sponsors and weapons that our corruption has not allowed the soldiers to get. |
Mysamuels:Truly. Whenever I remember all the things I'm yet to do and how it is that it's really baby that will give you date, I get scared honestly and June seems too close for comfort. But when the heaviness on my pelvis stops me from even changing positions, I start feeling that I can't cope for the next two months. |
Not good especially where plants and fooid are concerned. |
Its odd you're not eating it. That's not how it usually goes on Nairaland. |
Expectantmom:I would take time to do that, there's sallah celebration now. |
Akposy:The soup for Masa should be loosely prepared Miyan gyada, not this one that's thick for tuwo. Infact, some people don't even use groundnut in their Masa soup. The secret to Masa soup is that it should have so much broth your Masa can soak it all up. If it's not that, then correct yaji for Masa (the one made with kuli kuli) is my next choice. But for tuwo, Miyan gyada with crayfish, stockfish and assorted meat is so good. |
That woman that gave birth should have come first, but this is the system we are faced with. May Allah be our help at all times. |
Layormiii:I have some baby essentials from previous pregnancies, ND the current situation, only God will help us. As for the antenatal, I go for scans to check baby and as a pharmacist, I know what abnormalities to watch out for in my body. I will never advise anyone to do it though. It's very risky. |
Layormiii:Our able cappo. We are doing well, apart from, well.... everything. The heaviness, the waddling, the heat, heartburn, hemorrhoids, eating and feeling full yet hungry again an hour later..... We think Allah for this journey. Many want it but it has not been granted to them. May they smile soon. Going to start ANC this week And weekly or bi weekly ugwu leaf therapy. Shopping too would commence sharparly, I don't want stories that touch the heart. Gradually we would all end our journeys with praise and joy. |
Niyyah and Comanche, Alhamdulillah, congratulations. May Allah bless you and your bundles of joy. And may He grant safe and easy passage to all those still in line. |
I use soft brushes and Vit C but still have some issue. |
Its bad for people who are forced to deal with them on a daily basis. I think such victims need therapy especially if the re children. Some of these narcissists tend to be abusive too. |
If all are available, and it's only one choice, the sardine would be it. If two choices re allowed, I would add butter. Would never go for mayo though |
Best way is without tomatoes. Especially if it's now chunky ![]() |
Food!!! |
mzMerci:It's like it gets worse tok with each pregnancy. Sometimes I have to use my hands to support the bump if I want relief |
Prestonn:How can someone make biscuit and coffee look this exquisite? Is it not juju? Well done Chef |
