Cutehector:Yh, I read ur post. I'm actually referring to most of the replies by guys, even at tht I think it's weird for a guy to ask a girl out on a date and be waiting on her to share in footing the bills, unless she offered to herself, did she beg for the date? It's a different thing if the guy and lady are just very good friends or besties just going out to av fun and catch up, they are used to each other and the girl can even pay up. But a guy asking a girl he is trying to know and build a relatnship wt on a date and he is expecting her to share in footing the bill is weird, if he isn't so buoyant he can always take her to somewhere he knws he can manage, unless the guy is very poor, to solve tht, taking a girl out is not by force. If the lady is rich, she can even be the one to take him out on a date and settle everything .That's just it. I kinda agree wt ur other points About the issue of bags my mom's junior colleagues even males are always quick to take her bag bt she never leaves it, and she appreciates them a lot for the gesture. |

Demmzy15:Thanks for bringing tht name up bro. I was once surfing thru the internet and I fell across it. It's really good to know the history of Islam, all the happenings are warning the prophet had already given the ummah. He warned severally abt these pple and the description fits in wt the terrorist groups causing havoc supposedly in the name of Islam |
Lwkmd. Na wa o. See hw the mumu concentrated, it's pple like him tht'll copy a friend's work wt the name join |
Lolz, guys are happy to share bills bt av a problem wt carrying bags. I'm nt against a couple in a relationship helping themselves out financially. But why ask a girl out on a date if u know u can't fund it? That's just smh. |
Very myopic thinking. These pple finally want to bastardize our education sector completely. We keep forgetting teaching is a profession on it's own and shld nt be a a dumping ground. They shld create more employment phases and empower entrepreneurs, not crowd our education sector wt non-education related graduates |
bishop4life:* Tongue out* Whatever rocks ur boat. Not like what u think is my biz. I'm biased, yes, thanks, now can u face front? |
daretodiffer:lolz, true |
daretodiffer:My sister u don't need to mind him. His moniker has perfectly described him |
bishop4life:Blah, blah, blah. I'av seen u. Like I wld be quick to support an association tht has been known to be compromised. Is Buhari the first political figure to receive an honorary degree? And news flash he wasn't the only one given the award tht day. Gov. El Rufai and Dangote were recipients, so they shld also be called to relinquish there hold on the award. The fault is on the Uni not him if all the assertions are true, why give an award u ain't qualified to? I'm not a Bubu supporter but I wnt support a biased noise making association either |
Dragonking:Who sounds senseless here? U can face front nw. Sensible pple av spoken |
The NAN's stand is a big shame. It's an honorary degree not an academic one. I'm nt surprised tho, when they are stupid enof to give a known drug baron 'Man of the year'. These pple av sold their souls and can never speak the truth. |
Ndeewonu:Only delusional pple see GEJ as a hero. As far as I'm concerned they are all bloody thieves |
TolaOluwatosin:Reduced to a minimum or triggered? I pray another BH isn't born from the army's rash action |
Yomieluv:I don't blive couples shld hide such from themselves, but sometimes men cause it, she might av noticed the man's body language. Some men behave as if they don't want any gud for their wives. I knw a woman who told her husband abt her plans on the land she inherited from her father and the husband withdrew all the financial support for her and partly for her children. I know a woman whose husband kept frustrating her whnever she contributes to the building of their house, bt the man kept telling her he doesn't send her cos her contributing to the building doesn't make it hers, so she simply bought a land, built her house and invited the man to see it afterwards. Or men who av series of lands and build houses wtout the wife's knowledge. Many cases like tht. The couple shld av a review of the marriage, there is somethn wrong somewhere. The communication link btw the couple is faulty or she doesn't trust her husband |
whitecloth:Thanks |
Speechless3:My sister na real wa |
Bestbeelieve:Yh, he probably saw beyond her face, who told u she asked him out? |
From the comments we can see how wicked some Nigerians are, and even some 'saintly' Christians afterall we've been made to understand only Muslims can be wicked and inhumane every non-muslim is a saint. Even pple who weren't there are analysing the no of bullets per min the arms the Shiites supposedly carried, yet none was found after many lives av been wasted. Someone who wasn't there was justifying the opening of arms on pple for supposedly throwing stones at Buratai 'the god'. Even tho I don't support the ideologies of the Shiite but our army is rash, and there inability to control these sorts of situations intelligently wtout any loss of life, goes a long way to show their incompetence. Protesters are gunned down by psychopaths in uniform and we keep supporting them not minding tht a family of ours cld be involved, the what's my business mentality. A stray bullet can hit anybody. The hatred u av for Muslims shld'nt erode ur sense of judgement and humanity I pray this situation will not give birth to a BH like grp, worse still the FG is silent abt it. Such a shame |
francescainnoce:Lolz |
Ah ah. This one is story for the gods o. If true, let her fast and pray o. And do a review of herself. I hope she doesn't av a jinn tht has taken liking to her setting guys glances away from her. Even ladies tht are just ok sef av quite a no of interested candidates nt to talk of a fine lady. Or it cld be she had made a prayer abt such b4 unknowingly. Like I av a friend who prayed to God for her nt to be bothered by men again after meeting the best man for her. She has a fiance planning their wedding nw, from the day the guy asked her out no other guy did even tho she is pretty. |
SmartMugu:I don't think those pics av anything to do wt Nigeria. Someone probably went into an archive of protests, brought this out and gave this caption. Few days ago an accident scene was portrayed as the site where the massacre occurred. Our news sources here can't really be trusted, all these blogs looking for traffic |
Are these pictures denoting what the topic is. I don't think so tho, our news sources on NL av been known to put disjointed pics wt a story. For all we know the pics might av been a protest against something else wc the OP used to substantiate his news, like when they brought accident scene pics for the pics of the massacre by the army. |
daretodiffer:Lolz. He didn't sweet talk me, I only seem to see his points are a little bit more manageable than some others. I share ur view. They see women as zombies or toys who just av to take their orders wtout questioning not considering her own views and opinions. Imagine someone having a rigid resolve on the name another person will bear like she is his property he can stamp any name on |
greatguru22:Lolz. 49/50 |
Being romantic isn't abt the tribe, it's abt the individual. I don't know why many tribalists are displaying here already. Like someone saying most yoruba ladies are thugs like he has been in contact wt all yoruba ladies. What I can infer is u roll wt the pple tht fit ur personality, if u roll wt dirty pple and thugs then u are in the same circus wt them |
niceeric:Lolz, I never mentioned being interested in using a compound name. Besides there are many men out there who wldn't make a mountain out of a non-issue such as tht, so I don't av to make one. there are lots of women outside there who are using compound names. One is 'Fatimah Abass Hassan'. Abass is her dad's name and Hassan is her husband's name |
niceeric:So, what are u saying? If u can make an undisputable resolve abt the name she bears, is it now in other issues her opinions will be valued. Maybe I don't understand u but tht is all I can deduce from ur points. NB: I'm nt a feminist, but I blive men and women av in marriage differing roles wc are as important as the other, the woman shld be submissive to her husband but the man shld not stress down on tht opportunity to make the house a military ground where everything he says must go, making rigid and selfish resolves wtout taking into consideration the opinions or feelings of the wife. It shld be like a partnership. Like it is said in the Quran 'Ur wife is a garment for u and u a garment for her, binded by love'. What do garments do? They protect. |
Wallade:Thank u my brother. If she has a good reason to make such decision and she tells the husband what's the big deal in him accepting? But him saying he has a rigid resolve abt it is something else. I don't know the Christian or bible view but in Islam a woman is allowed to bear her father's name even wtout compound name wt her husband's own. It is even encouraged for women to be identified wt their father's name. But we av to look at the context of our culture here, the woman is to take up her husband's name, if she wishes not to drop her father's name then she makes both into a compound surname, as simple as that and a non-issue |
niceeric:Yes, I don vex o. I'av never even thought abt this issue really whether to use a compound name or use only my husbands name. But the way u guys presented it infuriated me. Like whether she likes it or not, my rigid resolve is 'She must not bear a compound name' wc she MUST adhere to or the relatnship is over. Is it only women tht are to make compromises in marriage? And this issue is even a non-issue, what's the big deal abt her choosing the form of name she'll bear? But since the man is the head, his commands always av to be accepted whether the woman likes it or not becos it's rigid |
niceeric:Wareva |
Wallade:I like ur post. Yes, the man is the head of the house and the wife is the neck, there to support him. They are both partners, but the woman has to be submissive. Yes, we grab all tht. But when a man decides to be selfish and make rigid resolves on non-issues, not even considering what her own opinions and choice is, then something is wrong. What is the problem wt a woman deciding to bear a compound name of her husband and father's name enof for someone to be making a mountain out of a mole hill for. It's not like she decides not to bear his name at all, if she decides to bear her husband's name alone, fine, if she decides not to drop her father's name for whatever reasons and add her husbands own to it, what's the big deal. She bears the name, her children will also bear their father's name. It's high time women aren't treated like mindless dolls who av no right to make any choice even when it's regarding them wholly, but av to always say 'Yes sir', becos a selfish man has a rigid resolve wc he can't compromise for any reason. |
