RomanceRe: Things An Average-looking Guy Can Do To Increase His 'market Value' by HaneefahRN(f): 5:49pm On Oct 06, 2015
Lolz, nice counter thread. And u've got some salient points there. Every guy shld work on having these qualities whether handsome or 'average', e.g. No one likes a handsome dimwit.

A woman shld just do her best and pray to God to choose the best for her. Some Men ehn! Ur story reminds me of a friend of mine too, as in the lady tried for that guy, this 1 na fiance o, not knowing the man had 2 diff side chicks apart from her we dey do weekday thns for him while she goes to his place on wkends. What happened to being urself?
Some part of the list above are actually gud acts some women do but how many men appreciates this and not see it as being a desperado?
All a woman needs is to be well-mannered, present herself well, get an education, pursue and excel in her career, make herself happy and men who want to marry her will line up no matter the lvl of beauty.
A woman doesn't av to live her life solely trying to please a supposed bf or fiance who probably even has like 2-3 other girls somewhere and who said after all the sacrifices the relationship won't still collapse?
A woman shld only do all these and more for her husband not just to pls one yeye guy who cld later even term her desperate and take advantage.
Just be urself and don't slave around trying to get a guy to notice u, cos this is what the post is all about
And market value? Seriously?
And will the 'average looking girl' also be expected to do all this to all men she meets and like so as to get them to ask her out?

I'av always wondered why some women feel they can't look good and beautiful witout exposing themselves, esp all these yeyebrities. What values and mssg s are they passing across to the younger generation. I pray there won't be a time in Nigeria or Africa when women will go abt with just bra and pants, all in the name of looking gud and freedom.
Modesty is priceless

CrimeRe: Nursing Students Rape 6-yr-old Pupil In Edo by HaneefahRN(f): 8:37am On Sep 30, 2015
There is something VERY fishy about the story. It seems the woman is more concerned about destroying the students reputation and probably gaining money from the case. Some of my friends had met these guys involved during competitions and they don't seem the type.
Besides what cld make THREE nursing students crazy enough to rape a 6 yr old? What attraction or madness wld be great enough for 3 people to be crazy at the same time? If it were just a person It cld be more convincing but 3, haba!
And the mother supposedly didn't notice early, a 6yr old raped by 3 adult men definitely wldn't be ok, and a gud mother wld have noticed instantly, the child will most likely bleed .
The woman must think we are all fools. The matter shld be well investigated and if found to be a lie, that woman should be punished well for defaming those guys character.
RomanceRe: LADIES! What Job Or Profession Of A Man Can Make You Not Date Or Marry Him?? by HaneefahRN(f): 7:34pm On Sep 29, 2015
Hmmm, let me say,
Illegal or shady jobs
Soldier and police
An uneducated man involved in menial jobs like a vulcanizer, and the likes.
Did I say, actors and artistes? celebs generally sha, are a big NO for me
-My guy must be well-educated, intelligent, have focus and be ambitious, if he has all these qualities and more, I wld support him from scratch and we'll make our success story in our respective fields and beyond.
RomanceRe: Why Don't We See Rich Nigerian Single Ladies Marry Not-so-rich Nigerian Guys? by HaneefahRN(f): 8:19am On Sep 28, 2015
Truth be told, the average Nigerian man can't cope with having a wife who earns more or richer than him, probably due to ego or societal influence.
Even when such union occurs the woman has to be very cautious, careful and be very submissive begos almost all of her actions will be miscontrued by the man as being pride even when she is just doing a normal thing any wife wld, the man can say it's cos she is richer. The man will feel unnecessarily intimidated and to cover up for this might maltreat that woman.
I'av seen many of such cases, most times the marriages finally crashes, although I'av seen like 2 situations where they still manage to maintain the marriage although issue still crop up. It takes a patient, wise man to marry and effectively sustain marriage wt a woman richer than him wt the Grace of God being paramount. But how many men are patient enough?
I don't blame women who prefer to marry some1 richer than them, it's better and safer for the marriage.

RomanceRe: Why Are Men Scared Of Marrying Female Nurses? by HaneefahRN(f): 3:39pm On Sep 22, 2015
Probably due to the misconception that ALL nurses are promiscuous and saucy. U'll hear pple who had probably never even been in close contact with professional nurses openly bad mouth the profession.
Promiscuity isn't abt profession but the personality of the individual. When I hear the widespread falsehood that pple pass that nurses go to night duty to sleep around with Drs or worse still pts, I just laugh. Have u ever considered the condition in which nurses work, is it a nurse that has almost 20 pts with varying level of illness to take care of that'll go abt sleeping with men?
This notion has also been contributed to by the media, who always seem to thrive from painting nurses in the bad light.
From another view, it seems these stereotypes are most types associated with female- dominated professions. And besides, shine ur eye, not every1 u see in white is a nurse especially in most private hospitals where some Drs train illiterates or semi-literate quacks who wear white and go abt parading as nurses.
I don't care what pple say, nursing is a noble profession and I'm proud to be a nurse. Any man who marries a gud professional nurse is a lucky man.
EducationRe: 7 Most Difficult Courses To Study In Nigerian Universities by HaneefahRN(f):
Nelico:
Any course u study requires focus, determination & hardwork. But some of the courses listed above like medicine requires extra input, because many are admitted, very few eventually graduate. Any paramedical (pharmacy, dentistry, lab. science, etc) attacking medicine is purely born out of cheer envy & jealousy. Dental students only do elementary medicine & introduction to surgery, but have no knowledge of obstetrics, Gynaecology, paediatrics & child health, psychiatry, community medicine, family medicine, etc. Absolutely, majority of haters of Doctors are medical drop out & those frustrated by JAMB from studying medicine. Such always fight hard for their offsprings to be Doctors.
Typical, anybody who speaks 'against' medicine must be jealous.I respect physicians but u guys really need to change that mentality. Anyway no one said medicine isn't tasking, cos it definitely is with all the bulky course load but so are many courses.
Pls can u differentiate the core health professionals from the paramedics? I only quoted u to tell u check again, pharmacy is not 'paramedical', and last I remembered, dentistry and dental surgery is a brother to medicine and surgery and are also Drs .Sorry, I guess u probably thought medicine is the only core health course.

Most of ur course is all about cramming... Dont dispute that. Cramming is part of studying
O Thank u, Mr ? I wasn't arguing the cramming part, u saying it's no big deal was what struck me. Of course there are some things one has no option but to cram, like stuffs u have to write them verbatim without mistaking 'at' for 'in'. Although personally I don't like cramming, I read to understand then put in my own words.

Oga, no need of argueing, even those studying medicine self, they must cramm, dia is no big deal in Nursing.
Infact, all courses involve cramming... Its part of studying.
Please don't say what u don't know, don't just assume. 'Nursing is no big deal'? Like seriously? U must think nurses sleep or party around all through their schooling and still pass. For ur info, nursing students share many courses with medical students apart from core nursing courses. Nursing isn't hard to me anyway and neither is medicine, but they are very tasking. Perception matters.
