@ Vicade,

Only Ronaldo and Tevez??
The duo scored 61 goals between them last season. . . . . . .
U cannot write off any team now until February/March.

Portsmouth, Liverpool and Chelsea?? Piece of cake.
Hopefully, the United chronicles would be back by then.
We don't fall over easily. . . . . If United fail to win in their first 10 games, they would finish above Arsenal. cheesy grin

@ Oyato,

He added 4 players last season and we drew the 1st game too.
Must United score 10 goals on the opening day to show intent??
The premiership has started and will not end until May next year.
For Chelsea to win the PREM, they must win the remaining 37 games. grin

thats hw u started last season!

and things have changed since then! teams hav changed! managers av changed!

bt manutd team hasnt changed grin grin

this is the new premier league season! 2008/09
3 words for you: You are naive!!!!

folahann:
Yes, that's true. This is how they started last season; that's the first thing i expected and I got it

You forgotten that last season is diff form this season, moreover, only 2 points won the ligue for you last season cool
1 point or goals difference(who cares).
38 games would be played and the team with the highest points win the Prem.
Win all ur 37 games and win the title otherwise put a cock in ur mouth. grin cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Hannibal: 6:02pm On Aug 17, 2008
How can u blame Fergie??
He can only make use of what he's got.
Ronaldo's surgery(inevitable). . . . .Tevez's trip to South America(that coulda been avoided).
Saha is a waste pipe and Campbell played well but he needs to hit the gym.

vichel:
shut up hannibal!, lets see u win d title this season again
Don't be a fool. . . . .
Arsenal won 7 of their 8 first games last season and finished Trophyless.
Man Utd did not win until their 4th game and won the European double.
Y'all are still making the same mistakes like last season. . . . . . .Write off Fergie at ur own peril.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Hannibal: 5:57pm On Aug 17, 2008
2 points dropped. . . . .  .

We started like we did last season. . . . . .Not a bad result but coulda been better.
37 games to go . . . . . .The boys shall be seperated from the MEN in due course.
Tevez going to Argentina was a very wrong move. grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Hannibal: 4:52pm On Aug 17, 2008
@ Cristalz,

The Referee and Shay Given are the men of the match(neutrals can pick from em).

Agbonlahor has bagged the first hatrick of the season.
Why can't Fergie buy Gabriel Agbonlahor instead of wasting precious seconds on Berba-SULK??
Tevez is the only fit recognised striker, yet Fergie allowed him to go to Argentina.
Something Mourinho or Benitez wouldn't have allowed. . . . .Is Fergie going SOFT?? cheesy grin

nateevs:
1-1

So much for being champions
So much!!!!
We started like this last season and won the title without breaking sweats.
This is Man Utd. . . . .we can lose the first 6 games and win the title. . . . . It's our BIRTHRIGHT.

@H

You seem excited about Obagoal scoring.  .  . angry

Goooalll!!! Yayy!!!!! Now thats what i call Rapid Fire Response!! Go United!!!
How can i be excited about Obafemi's header. . . . . . No one was marking the dimunitive striker.
He leapt and powered home a good header. . . . Scholes shoulda cleared off the line though.

CHAMPIONS ROAR BACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

Carrick limps out again. . . .gosh, this must be the curse of the Community Shield.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Hannibal: 4:23pm On Aug 17, 2008
You need to see Campbell's header. . . . . . .It was like a rifle shot.
Given was beaten but he saved with his forehead. tongue tongue tongue tongue

We need firepower upfront.

NEWCASTLE SCORESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Obafemi Martins.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Hannibal: 4:19pm On Aug 17, 2008
Rooney has missed from 4 yards again.
Rebound fell to Scholesy. . . . . .and his effort was saved yet again.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Hannibal: 4:07pm On Aug 17, 2008
Anutha penalty turned down at OT. . . .
James Milner just handled the the ball with 2 hands now in the box.
He saw the ball traveling for almost 6 yards. . . . . and the stupid ref didn't GIVE the decision.
Deco's penalty was more generous.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Hannibal: 4:01pm On Aug 17, 2008
@ Folahann,

We started that way last season and won 2 FANTASTIC TITLES.
If we LOSE today(10000/1) we would still finish ahead of Arsenal n Liverpool.

Tevez's family bereavement couldn't have come at the odd time.
There is no recognised striker on United's bench
This is worrying.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Hannibal: 3:53pm On Aug 17, 2008
Bench now has 7 players(new FA rule)

Possebon, KitKat, OShea, Silva, Neville, Johnny Evans and Gibson.

37 matches to go. 3points in the bag
37 matches to go. . . . 111 points still to fight for.
These are early days. . . . .3 points is just what it is . . . . .3 points.
Nuthing special but Chelsea has thrown down the gauntlet. . . . . They mean BUSINESS. cool
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Hannibal: 3:33pm On Aug 17, 2008
I dunno what happened to Apache.
He is not even on the bench. . . . Thatz worrying.
Gosh. . . . . Ferguson should call back Anderson. . . . .We are too thin.
How can we start a season this way when we had the whole summer to strengthen??
I hope Argentina knocks out Brazil in the Olympics. . . . We need our players back ASAP.

Deco is CLEARLY the Man Of The Match. . . . . .

@H

You missed William Gallas in your list there grin And Kalou as well, since Gallas has become his new hairstyle-hero.
Gallas is a serial self-servicer. . . . . . . . . . .He represents the indiscipline at Arsenal.
How they can make a petulant Arrow like that the captain of their team.
It's a disgrace. tongue
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Hannibal: 3:02pm On Aug 17, 2008
Can someone advise Mikel to get a decent cut??
Why are African players so razz with their hair-styles?
Drogba-Essien-Mikel-Toure-Adebayor(They all look like chumps).

Who could be Man of the match?

Mikel, Ashley or Deco?

Anybody agree with my party?
Deco is the man of the match and Bosingwa should make it ahead of Ashley or Mikel.
He has been so effective in this game and u wonder if he's a winger.
Chelsea's gameplay has improved JUST BECAUSE the wing backs have supported very well.

Ok,if u want to bring up the Comm shield, its still almost the same thing. We still missed some players, and Pompey had more to play for than this Prem opening game tongue And,United was still away from home.

So still not a fair comparison grin
Don't mind these TROPHYLESS Chavs . . . .
They are having multiple orgasms now cos they are 3 goals up at HOME!!!!
How many times did we destroy teams by scoring 4 goals in succession. . . . I remember Man Utd doing 4 goals a game last season.
Let em convert this performance into titles. tongue grin

ummmmhh!!!! Were you reffering to the community shield?
How can u compare Community shield in Wembley(away from home) to your home game against Pompey??
Wembley is not in Manchester and there was no 3 points to be copped. tongue

If you've been doing it for 2 seasons, what makes you think we'l stumble by the 10th match. Plus Robinho might still be coming in?
Jackal go and get ready for your defeat.
Man Uttd is a different set-up. . . .
ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK is what the fans demand even if we play HELL ANGELS.
We don't sit back. . . . A very fearless team.
The game at SB, i am licking me lips already cos that would end ur unbeaten run. Anderson/Nani should be back by then so brace urself.

@Ibime,
This is exactly what I have seen all along . . breath-taking!!!!! Who bloody says you can't have good football and win?
Shushhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

We have been doing that for the last 2 seasons with Rooney n Ronaldo.
The best football in this country is at Old Trafford.
Evra raiding and supplying the ammo to the HOLY TRINITY.
Letz see how it goes after MATCHDAY 10. . . . This might be a purple patch for Chelsea. grin

I pity for Arsenal this season, Can they face this?
I don't think so.
Forget Arsenal, please.
Matter of fact, they should split the Premiership into 2. . . . .
The elite class and the normal class(Arsenal don't belong to the elite with their lil boys).
Chelsea would pulverise Arsenal with the way they are playing now. . . .
Ashley Cole/Bosingwa have been more involved than anyone else on the pitch. . . . It's a new era at the Bridge. tongue
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Hannibal: 2:18pm On Aug 17, 2008
It's 3-0.

Lampard scores!!!
This is embarrassing.

Blowing ma trumpet ? Are you kidding me? This is my team . . who's shall I blow?

3 weeks ago you told me you wanted to see Chelsea against Distin and Campbell and then you tell me never to bank on pre-seasons. . . now you think it's "ONLY POMPEY". . .?

Jackal I go ban your username ooooo!!!!
I have given a verdict. . . . . . Chelsea have played extremely well.
This is sexy football at it's sterling quality(i failed to see that at the Emirates yesterday). . . . .
The only question here is. . . . .Is Pompey poor on the day or Chelsea has stepped up a gear??

It seems Ballack has picked up an injury. . . . . . .Malouda steps in.

Chelsea is playing 4-3-3 and with the 2 wing backs. . . . It turns 2-3-5.
Try and take a sneak preview when Chelsea is on the attack and see the number of bodies buzzing around like tse-tse flies.
This is why there is always an extra man when Pompey clears aimlessly. Watch carefully and u would get the drift.

@ Cristalz,

We can top this play. . . . .They would be very worried with Nani/Ronaldo raiding their wings than playing us this way.
Our defence is too top draw to allow Joe Cole or Anelka to have a sniff. . . . Remember how Drogba stayed in Vidic's pocket in Moscow??
United would top this week in week out.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Hannibal: 2:01pm On Aug 17, 2008
@ Nateevs,

Don't argue. . . . . This is very obvious, Scolari is playing 4-3-3.
The same formation he used all his life in Portugal.
Deco is played in the advanced role supporting Anelka.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Hannibal: 1:58pm On Aug 17, 2008
ANELKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is too easy.
Frank Lampard has bribed his uncle(Harry Redknapp).
What the heck is this??

I tried to point that out several times during the pre-seasons. . . In one of your famous reponses, I was just over-hyping an average performance with an obviuos weak chinese team.
Stop blowing ya trumpet!!!

U are playing Pompey @ SB , first game of the season!!!
What do u expect? A Pompey victory??
The only good thang i can see here is there's no negative football again.
Ashley Cole n Bosingwa are getting forward very well. . . .It's like Evra and Neville. grin cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Hannibal: 1:50pm On Aug 17, 2008
Without a doubt, i am impressed with what i have seen.
The passes have been crisp, players are competing and the whole gameplay is sublime.
Kudos to Big Phil!!!!
