Ahah I thought there were no coma coma in this post UME exam thing? I thought the school sets cut off point for students writing the exam and if you reach the cut off point for your course you are admitted?

If they knew they had 50 slots for students why did they sell one million forms? were they expecting that out of one million only 50 would pass? If you have so few a space then sell few forms.

I believe you can sue them so long as you are sure you score up to the cut off point and you can prove it. Get your exam result slip so they don't quickly alter your score and if possible get to know the scores of admitted students in your chosen department too. like if they admit a candidate with 150 score while they tell you with a score of 250 that there is no space.

God education in Nigeria has gone to the gutters jamb alone is enough to filter candidates for universities but the money involved would not let them go back to the old tested and proven method.

Simple in short very simple matter If husband and wife love each other it doesn't matter who is told. Brother inlaw may call hubby to say hey can I drop in to say hello for two days? he may ask his sister who in turn asks the hubby. If the family was very united the wife knows already when it is convenient or not for visitors to come I.e they may have plans to travel for crusades or other programme planed or hubby is angry these days so no disturbance or they just dont want elderly visitor now cos they had a hectic week and plan to rest no strength to look after elderly inlaw who one will have to cook , clean, and wash for. or no cash to send the person back as at when the person has chosen to leave. but they will welcome visit from a younger visitor who will look after himself and even help them do some chores around the house or business.

When a visitor wants to visit my home they call who they are comfortable talking to and then the message is relayed to the other partner and what ever they both agree on about the visit is final. But like I said, its in a home where there is harmony. on the other hand if hubby always wants to show wife who is boss then he will complain about feeding her relatives when they visit without informing him, why she slept without waiting for him to come home first even if his food was prepared and is warm in the food flask, why her boss calls her on her mobile phone instead of his doesnt he know she has married sign stamped on her head? etc etc. in short why will she breathe without telling him.

All in all sha you know who you marry so if he wants you to report to him all that you do or that your people should ask him specifically before visiting since the house is his, you bear his surname, he paid your bride price, he is clothing you, and feeding you and hell he even made you sleep on a bed instead of on a mat etc etc of all he did for you. Then so be it so long as you want the marriage to last. Whether its fair of him or not is another topic.

For those of you who are too young to know about DNA there are tests that can show who the father, mother or relative of a person is. No one can teach you how dear.Dealing with death is a personal thing. I lost my mom last year my dad 5yrs ago. I was mad at God and at her for leaving. We had planned how she would come help me when I got pregnant and all. Then she died. My brother's friend who had passed through the same pain encouraged me to move on. I became strong when I saw how strong she was her husband was abusive so she lives with her two kids watching her gave me the courage to move on. Maybe you can find someone who has passed through loss and grief and came out standing tall to encourage and help you bear the loss. Feel free to let me know if you want someone to talk to.

For all I know it is true nigerian hospitals are underfunded and our eqivalent of CDC is epileptic. Granted people die in the US. hell, people die all around the world but you can never compare the quality of medical investigation and care between the US and nigeria. And its very true that diseases travel fast these days and even if a particular kind of disease kills people with poor immunity I believe the public should be alerted its not normarl to say oh since they are already immuno compromised they could die of anything so they should not be alarted.

I don't think its a crime if the poster rellies on Brt for transportation not everyone can afford a car and to demand that the government provides quality service for its citizens is also very normal and so poster should not be criticized. If one depends on govt insurance for health, house, feeding, transportation etc it is only expected that quality should be served. That is why they were elected and the sooner we expect quality leadership and demand it of our leaders the sooner we move forward. We look at the lives of people abroad and want the kind of life they enjoy. We see frequent electricity, running water,equiped play ground,good transportation etc. maybe if one complains here people will say eyaa you are complaining cos you cant buy a gen set. you complain water they say pele you are SO poor you cant sink a bore hole. you complain for poor public transport they say sorry o you cant buy a car. Then what do we as citizens have right to complain about?

1  cos women were not educated and did not own any wealth so it was easy to dominate and subdue them
2  cos men and women these days dont try to fix their breaking relationships
3   cos in those days women were not allowed to take their kids with them even if the hubby was abusive and they want to leave the home. and when they think of what their kids will go through if they left them for another woman they just decide to sit it out.
4   cos some of our parents learnt to love and respect each other creating a tight bond that they cant live without each other.
5  cos it was a shame for a woman to leave her hubby no matter what. The community will use it against her and her family durring social gatherings and God forbid if her family was poor and cannot refund the bride price.

all in all I think when it comes to keeping a home intact women fight more for stability in matrimony.I think most times I hear women pray for oga to remember she and the kids and come home after frolicking with smallies outside. Not many men can stay up all night and welcome a spouse who went out all night.

In BMH port harcourt when my mom was sick, the nurses attending to an elderly woman in my mom's ward were angry that she couldn't straighten her legs she was diabetic and had a big sore on the leg. Her son politely asked the nurse to take it easy on the old woman the nurses got angry and abandoned the woman for 3 good days cos her son dare "challenge" them the poor guy had to beg on his knees before they resumed treatment. wetin poor man fit do?
