Kobojunkie: But this sort of thing ... the abandoning of children to their fates is a norm in the North.
it happens every where. In the North it happens through the almajiri system of schooling which the system works well b4 the advent of western education system but now its been abandon and the system now lack regulations. In the East , most parents also sends and then abandon their children to some masters to go and learn trade , the master mostly turn those children into slaves and send them out at will. Also female sometimes under age leaves their parents house either due to poverty or lack of proper upbringing and resort to prostitution in high cities like Abuja, Lagos, Italy and so on. In west , some parents don't mind their children becoming touts, agberos, streets/area boys, Yahoo boys, cultist or female living with gender that's not their spouse ( wajoko), which can leads to hook ups and so many negatives society menace like using them for rituals, human trafficking, organ trafficking etc. The issues of so called witches being lynch to death, Osu born been sent to the evil forest or sent out of town or stigmatized cannot be over emphasized. So every society has its own problem. But some people like to stigmatized the North as the only problematic place in Nigeria, you begin to hear comments like "e no go better for Lord lugard" etc.
festacman: An unnecessary banter from the high bench. She ought to just draw inferences on the strength of evidence and witness' testimonies in front of her and state her judgement.
NB: There is a difference between a banter and a simple admonishment that a plaintiff ought to have done better with provision of strong evidence and witnesses. This banter of hers means "when they go low, I go low too" and that's a bit childish coming from a bench of a temple of justice which has a "blind woman" as a symbol.
from your explanation - you are a lawyer, an Obi supporter, you have respect for the judiciary but at same time pained by the verdict delivered. And you admitted that Obi's lawyer did a terrible Job. The reasons the judge took the extra mile is because of the too much noise and confidence or arrogance exhibited by the Plaintiff well-wishers.
Infolenka: Your mother is your sister and your father is the father of your mother.
This means that your grandfather is your mother's husband as well as the father of her daughter, and your mother's father's grand daughter is his own daughter.
So your father has two daughters and one granddaughter who is also his daughter.
OmoNla99: That the former King was a Muslim doesn’t mean a Christian can’t be a king. If truly you are from OGBOMOSHO, you would know the town doesn’t play religion card. Oba Layode was a Christian too. For your records, Muslims don’t have Christians population in Ogbomoso.
forgive my ignorance. My Mum is 4m der, but I didn't grew up there, infact I have only been there twice way back 2004. Heard the Oba Layode was lynch to death by mobs. But honestly Islam has been in Ogbomosho for more than a century bcus like my 5 grandfather is an Ogbomosho Muslim. While Christian is not even up to 200 years, so how did they become majority ? Though I knew a lot of Muslims n atheist converted to Christianity due to western education, and free abroad scholarship offered and free job after completion but many still rejected it in loyalty to their faith. My great great grandfather being one of them. That's around early 1800s as we've been told.
Reelmii: Na wah o....from he will not contest to he will loose the primaries.. From he will not win the election to he will not be inaugurated...
From he will be disqualified to he will not win at the tribunal....
This jagaban juju dey work wonders
na Mama prayer dey work 4 him. I heard Jagaban had Never said NO to her on anything she asked of him . He worship her after God. And she put blessings on him that He will always achieved anything He intend to achieve in life.
Maybe say which one has more power and authority and influence, I personally think minister of Abuja is synonymous or equal to been a governor especially if the president gives you autonomy. Infact all federal parastatal and high ranking government buildings in Abuja are under your control including army headquarters, police headquarters, united nations building, all embassy building, aso villa security, Nnamdi Azikiwe airport, all the road inside Abuja, all the market, every building, every land, national stadium and anything called national inside Abuja, all sarounding cities inside fct. I believe that's real power only if u know how to wield it. Every rich man is at your mercy. Wike can just wake up agrily tomorrow and decide to demolish Dangote house, and since it Nigeria, with the president blessings, nothing will happen.
windvane: THE MAN WAS NEVER CALLED TO BE THE KING,IN SHORT HE IS THE 13TH IN LINE TO THE THROWN BUT HE BRIBED THE KING MAKERS WITH 10M EACH,IN OTHER TO BE SWITCHED TO THE FIRST.......VERY SAD
I wonder ooo. I think Makinde being a Christian played a role too. The former king is a Muslim and majority Yoruba in Ogbomosho are Muslims. How did He becomes the king ?
Tattoo used to be part of our lost culture (singbere) but it's totally different to the one's of nowadays which carries no meaning at all. Else, nowadays you find that only wayward people like prisoners , drug addicts even if rich n famous, pornstars are the ones having tattoo.
SalamRushdie: It's really tough now , I feel so much pity for people, many children will be out of school before this year ends because of thoughtless govt
Those school proprietors(owners) should reduce the exorbitant school fees they charge parents if not I see lot of kids either changing too a more affordable one or having home lessons and or increase salaries of teachers which presently is nothing to write home about.. Bills are just pilling up. School fees, hospital fee, feeding, light bill, water bill, house rent, shop rent, security bill, data/call bills etc
pansophist: Then he should marry a woman shorter than him, or supplement his lack of height with a deep pocket, and an admirable social status. Men's values are not solely on their looks.
yea , the deep pocket works like magic and the social status is an icing on the cake
pansophist: When it comes to romantic relationships, always go with biological reality, instead of social reality.
Biological reality would be a man marrying a woman he can take care of, is taller than and younger than her, a woman that will appreciate the experience he can give her, etc.
If you are a vulcanizer man shooting for a wealthy female banker, then you're conforming to social reality, and it hardly works.
For example, if you have 5k naira and want to feed for the whole day, it's foolish to go and eat in KFC. Buying something to cook or a roadside buka will give you more value for your money.
Let the richer women be with men that are richer than them, and you should be with a woman that in her reality, you're a catch. It's the law of relativity.
Femiwilli: I have always said it that Mrs Druggie Ebola is a fake pastor.
Look at the way she is dressed like a moslem.
When she should take every opportunity to let people know their is liberty in Jesus, instead she was to let people know that she adheres to the most hostile religion to Christianity
Now I understand how a pastor will be calling on idols She is a fake pastor in a fake church RCCG run by a fake GO Adeboye
MrPRevailer: True. Mark 10:11-12 "And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery."
Did your Pastor tell you that if you marry a divorced woman, you are married to Hellfire? if they didn't, please change your church
turmacs: This is one of the reasons I say education in Nigeria is nonsense.. If you're a girl, focus on hook-up, if you're a boy, focus on yahoo/ritual, that is how smart people survive and live large now....As a parent, I'll advise you to start grooming your daughters for ashewo work as early as 10, this world is very hard and they might need the skill for when things get really tough..You can start by teaching them how to unwrap condom and wear a man, how to give proper handjob, how to handle three men at once, e.tc....And as for the boys, you can start by teaching them what Nord VPN is, how to collect wire transfer from foreign countries, how to hack Facebook and Instagram, basics of BEC fraud, romance scams e.t.c.... Banking on education alone in Nigeria is a very, very risky gamble..
