Hello Folks,

We all know that Adulthood comes with a-lot of stress and challenges which switches us to burnout from time to time.

The question is how do you handle it?
I simply do handle it by finding solace in the bosom of a social group Support System. They hold me by the hands and we all walk through life’s trouble together whilst having fun.

DMS Haven is my Support System Group which consists of intellectual personalities interacting together whilst having fun and burning the stress the outside world gives Us.

Do you have some marital challenge and you need a more safe place to trash and get curated advices with judgment?
Do you need non-sentimental friends to hold your hands and help you walk through those challenges with your head up high?
Do you wish to have a brand new set of intellectual friends that will love you and yours for who you are? Etc

Look no further, all you have to do is

interesting. What if it was not a one on one?
I have used pepper spray to clinch a window of escape from 3 attackers....

I am not saying it will always work but I also don't get attacked daily.

No one is allowed to carry concealable weapons except you are in the category of those so profiled under the law.

As said somewhere, you can only be licensed for pump action and to some lower extent double barreled guns too.

Okay... I'll cut to the chase..due to recent unfortunate events that's occured in the past few weeks, I am starting to become paranoid and fear for the lives of myself and my family.

Hence, I've decided to find out how I'm going to get a licensed weapon to ensure that I atleast have a fighting chance should my enemy get involved in a squabble with a mob or a group of people with intent to kill.

NB: I intend to carry it everywhere I go. If there's anything I've learnt from the past few weeks.. nigerians are cowardly, selfish, unreliable people who intend to mind their business when things go awry for a person. You might be getting mugged in broad day light and everyone would look away and choose to mind their own business.

I've seen it happen a lot... I'm not trying to cast any form of aspersion or insult anyone, but we're cowards in these parts.

Insults are very much welcome.
Yours sincerely

Fvxk you too.
You can get a license for pump action but not pistols or revolvers. However, carrying pump action around is another thing all together. I keep mine at home but I move around with taser and pepper spray. These could give you a window of escape in a one on one situation.

Oga, are you in Nigeria or the UK?

Also, who would want to have a discussion with an irresponsible idiot?

where do you live? let me see if I can get there.
I am a Nigerian currently in the UK, I am in Birmingham specifically.

This irresponsible idiot here wants to have a private conversation with you on the crap you spewed over the death of the innocent girl killed by a mob in sokoto. I am not sure i can do India but you may wish to meet up. Birmingham is just 4 hours from Heathrow and less than 3 hours from Gatwick. It will be nice to meet in a secluded place just you and I and if we can't do this abroad, can you let me know when you can be in Nigeria so I will plan a visit. Someone needs to hear and feel what i feel about that girl's death. Can we agree already please?

Look this doesn't matter at all. Be it contract or full time. The point is working from the back end doesn't in a bank doesn't pose much to u. U aren't asked to work during the weekends, u are probably not even given any target. As a well knowledged person in the operations(thank God I moved on from the slavery) you practically never have time for anything and u think being paid a paltry 250k as an ET is enough?

The man moved on from his banking job. This I admire seeing that if he makes a consistent 10k daily, that would land him minimum of 200k monthly assuming he doesn't want to be saving 100% his earnings. Alas! He would even make much more with alot of effort and God's grace and still have ample reserved time for other things. We must encourage big moves like this!

Now how many of the bank workers save that? (Remember am talking about savings). Most bankers don't even have up to 1/4 of their salary before the next payday.
LOL, but i am neither arguing nor contesting so what's the fuss here? It is perfectly ok that he moved. grin grin

Well said. You guys are either poorly paid or you were entry level, either case, I am not contesting this as I have limited facts. However years ago as an SBE (Senior Banking Executive) my pay would not justify me leaving the job and doing Uber. The only issues i would have complained about are (1) humongous targets and (2) time constraints leading to lack of rest and stress. Please note, I was a back office staff (Legal Support Services). All in, whatever works. I was only clearing the fact that the OP was a contract staff (and his write-up also confirmed it).

Good afternoon Landers.

I have finally resign from the banking job and I am very happy now with my earnings and freedom.

For me to resign I had to work as Bolt driver everyday I close from the bank and drive till 10pm and worked all through the weekends as a bolt driver, with this I was able to save 1million in short period of time and got loan of 1.5m to get another car.

So now my monthly savings after other expenses is 200k which I plan to pay back the loan in six month starting form this month.

I only work from Wednesday to Sunday every week now since I resigned.
Thanks for all the support from here, other contract staff bankers especially men reading this post should look for exits root immediately as there is no future in the banking industry for us as a polytechnic graduates.
This is very inspirational but you actually resigned as a contract staff working in a bank. Let us get it clear. No Banker employed as a full staff will resign from that job to go into bolt driving since in truth, the pay in that sector is very lucrative.

I encourage all other persons employed as contract staff in the bank to indeed seek an escape route. In the long term, they will be happy they did.

A circuit breaker acts based in the instructions it receives. If it doesn’t receive an instruction to open and cut electricity supply, it will remain closed. A good control and protection system should have cut electricity supply to this section of the network. Normally, this fire is still burning because electricity is still flowing. It shouldn’t be. That’s what I do for a living. Protecting electrical transmission lines and transformers.
I was taught circuit breaking in secondary class 2, how come there was no circuit breaking mechanism to have stopped the power flow here?

if you have any information about Kaduna airport just say it in simple terms. I have never been to Kaduna airport and I don't know why it should be strange that someone should fly from Kaduna to abuja. Its not a sin not to know
Boss, locations that are that close are not open to point A to Point B flights. My point is that the locations (Abuja to Kaduna) are so close that before the plane fully takes off and starts a cruise, it would almost have passed Kaduna...

The only way anyone can fly from Abuja to Kaduna is perhaps using a chopper or in the alternative, fly to some other further destination and detour back to Kaduna. This will not happen on a regular passenger flight except it is a chartered flight.

I did not mean to sound insulting and I am sorry If I did. The explanation is what you have up there. Same way you can't talk of flying from Owerri to Enugu or to PH or PH to Calabar etc because those locations are much so close that air trips would have overflown the landing airport before they have even fully started cruising...

I hope I made some sense.
