This wimp called Melford Goodhead will never stop to amaze me. I knew him at close quarters before he dropped out from Unical (he was 2 years my senior in the law faculty and was rusticated on academic grounds) before he was admitted by UST (Rivers State University of Science and Technology) where i later learnt he still could not manage his academics. Where and how he suddenly acquired physical strength and bravery (not guns) beats me.

Melford Goodhead (the son of a Port Harcourt based High Court Judge) has never been a man of strength and he knows this. I therefore take this story about him capturing anyone with a pinch of salt.

@ OP...I left mainland for Ajah, since someone said Ajah is not island. Fact is when I came, mainland was wack because of bad road. No sooner did I move than they started road expansion around Ajah-VGC axis. The balance presently favours the mainland but I am certain that once they are done with the roads around Ajah, we will be fine. One reason I am grateful is that during Endsars life was a lot more safer and secure here on the island than the mainland, however, to each his own. I can tell you for free that on the mainland, Gbagada, Ogudu and Oworo are most central as you can access Ikeja and elsewhere easily. All these talks about surulere and ikeja don't quite cut it for me, too crowded and noisy. In all, Lagos na wash.

You all will notice I have not commented on this war because I do not engage in issues I am not well grounded. Now my question is, if as I understand it, Ukraine said they wanted to join NATO and Russia says No you cannot, and the NATO itself is not even helping Ukraine much in his fight (at least not as far as I can see and I may be wrong) what will Ukraine lose by calling truce, counting their losses and staying out of NATO. I am asking this question with all sense of seriousness and a desire to learn, especially because NATO just seemed to have set this Ukraine up and then went back to sleep.

I seek knowledge not bashing. If you do not have a firm grasp of the facts and analysis of what could transpire please do not bash me.

What i was taught is that 'He who alleges must prove'. It is not for the boy to prove that he should have money at his age, it is for his accusers to present evidence that his money was ill-gotten, then the burden of proof shifts to the guy to explain his source, etc. It is never the other way round. This is why everyone has a constitutional right to keep quiet against any allegation. The law says it is the person who will lose if no evidence is adduced that should proffer evidence. Police will always stand the law on its head.

I always doubted and just couldn't believe flogging could have caused the death of that child and I said as much.
Many kids in Nigeria are flogged,even more severely than that baby was,yet survived to tell the tale.
I also voiced out concern that we must do some serious soul searching in this country if 2 hospitals,including and particularly a teaching hospital (DELSUTH) could manage a child flogged in their facilities and yet that child died.
The challenge now is finding out if the baby sustained any injury during the time he was flogged,just as Oromoni junior had an ankle injury,that wasn't managed and caused sepsis.If he did then it could be that the wound caused by the flogging was the originating cause of the septic infection and poor medical management as the contributing factor.
But if there was no noted external injury during the autopsy,then the flogging had no part at all to do with his death and that teacher should be discharged.
We must always open our minds,rely on facts and not allow emotions cloud our judgements,lest we punish innocent people for crimes or deaths they had no role in.

Can't the teachers just get their hands pf other people's kids? Must they even flog them? If there was no case of flogging no matter how small will anyone drag the teacher? Good parents sha. May we not see evil, because whether is septic shock ooo, peptic tank ooo, once you flog my child and there is story thereafter, just write your will and await an uncertain accident.

Lagos State Government under the brilliant , resourceful and hardworking Asiwaju Tinubu solved that herculean challenge and today, VI is back to its glory.

It was Asiwaju Tinubu that brought back the Lagos Central Business District and Broad street commercial nerve centre of Nigeria back to life after it was abandoned, it's Asiwaju Tinubu who built major roads from Oregun to Lawanson to Igando LASU to as far as Badagry etc.

Asiwaju Tinubu is the one who fixed the horrible waste problem we had in Lagos and that LASTMA and BRT you see was created by Asiwaju. Asiwaju Tinubu was the one who got Lagos State to be part of the owners of Econet and unlike Delta State where the shares were sold and funds pocketed, Lagos State Shares were warehoused with professional investors in the state investment agency called Ibile holdings.

Asiwaju Tinubu increased bursaries to students of Lagos State origin (NULASS) and made public schools free for all Lagosians regardless of your tribe, religion or political party affiliation after his administration had successfully returning missionary schools to their original owners( other states later copied Lagos) . It was during his tenure that Ikeja General Hospital became a teaching Hospital, upgrade most of the clinics to General Hospitals giving free health to the 5 years and below and Lagosians of 65 years and above age group. .

The fund that BRF used to quickly build infrastructures were the LGA funds withheld by Pa Obasanjo and despite that Asiwaju Tinubu never owed salaries.
When the purchase of FG refineries by Alhaji Dangote was cancelled by HE Yardua, Alhaja Aliko Dangote ran to Asiwaju Tinubu after most state governments and governors in the SS gave Dangote a cold shoulder. Today, through the assistance Asiwaju Tinubu gave Aliko Dangote, Dangote Refinery is taking off to help us stop the petrol subsidy killing our naira and public finances.


Asiwaju Tinubu is loyal to those who paid the ultimate price for our democracy and today heroes like Bagauda Kalto, Pa Alfred Rewane, Pa Abraham Adesanya etc are immortalized in Lagos . One of the most memorable achievements of Asiwaju Tinubu for me was helping to stop the blood letting and recurring Hausa-Yoruba/OPC war in Idi Araba and Agege. Those hellish period of unrest defied even the effort of past military state administrators of Lagos but Asiwaju Tinubu was able to solve it.

That Lagos State Government civil service is regarded as the best in Nigeria is due to the hardwork Asiwaju Tinubu did to reform it, create Tutors General offices, improved harmonized pay structure, best pension scheme for civil servants etc.
I can go on and on to educate you on the legacies of Asiwaju Tinubu still standing till today as my reasons for my confidence in Asiwaju Tinubu sir

That's why my appeal goes to you my fellow patriotic Nigerians to please vote for Asiwaju Tinubu.

The bolded caught my attention and honestly I don't care who wins Lagos state but i recall i went to Cassa del Papa in Cotonou recently and the roads were so bad that we made tones of detours till we got to Badagry. Where no such rule of duration is included in the tenancy agreement, that's where the law on duration comes into play.

I don't need to review any tenancy law. It is basic that any landlord can only evict after the court has granted an order or judgement to that effect. You have no right to self help as a landlord. Under the right to property, the tenant who is in possession has a right over the landlord. While the landlord has ownership rights, the tenant has possession rights and possession is 9/10th of the law. I hope you know that a landlord can become a trespasser on his property let out to a tenant. Go and read a bit of legal jurisprudence before you start standing the law on its head.
