If the government can

1. Arrest and try the masterminds behind the scene including those directly involved, try them in court and punish appropriately.
2. Send a very strong warning that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated and will never go unpunished.


3. Also, we have to be careful about inciting religious arguments/fights especially here on Nairaland

You can make your point with facts and figures but those who Allah will ,will know better. Education forms the major obstacle to those who kill in the name of Religion. How can one kill ? for who ? and for what sake ? I have not read that from any scripture. May Almighty Allah forgive us all. All of you fools saying because Fashola is "performing" he should be aloud to steal us blind. Read the new story of how Fashola bribed punch editor to write positive stories for LASG and how he paid N25million to several journalists to win the SUN's Man of the Year award. These are not Fashola's father's money but our hard earned tax money. Last time i checked, i paid N350,000 last year as tax. So i should keep quiet and let this guy waste my tax money,

Fashola is corrupt and possibly worse than the likes of Ibori and Tinubu. It is very sad that rather than fellow nairalanders to be objective and listen to these voices that have posted several stories of Fashola's corrupt practices, they will be throwing abuses at those bent on exposing corruption

Let's face reality, we accept that Fashola has done some good things for Lagos just as other governors have done some good things for their states. That's what they are elected to do. No big deal. But this does not give Fashola the right to pay journalist with our tax money to influence positive stories. This is immoral, unethical, corrupt and unprofessional. He is indeed not as decent as he is being portrayed.

Fashola has been accused by some people in "The True Face of Lagos". He has not responded. Another group came out with a new set of allegations in "The Other Face of Lagos". Still grave yard silence from Fashola and his government. Now this new allegation from a journalist and former editor of punch. Let's wait and see if he will respond.

The truth is that his political days are numbered and sooner than later he will be exposed and be made to face the music.

First of all, i want to commend the Nairalanders on how they have been tackling this issue raise by Hardtalk becos u (Nairalanders) did not allow an infedel like hardtalk to destroy the reputation of a pious man like fashola.

Hardtalk, why are u bringing this at this present time that is very close to d next election (2011) because from all your evaluation, u didnt even mention single thing about all the good work that mr fashola as done becos Akala (my governor) in oyo state that have not done anything, u bother not talking about.

Perhaps, u should start campaining for your candidate in 2011 or better still, who is your candidate? Mr Fashola is not a man u can destroy his reputation so that u can win even if he has made some mistakes. May be u should tell me any governor in Nigeria thai is better than him (fashola) or that have not done anything wrong?

I'm not saying Fashola is a saint but he is the only one good or excellent among the bad governors.
