This is a plague adversly affecting the students of the National Open University of Nigeria. I am left to worry if NOUN does it intentionally or are willingly attracting litigations to themselves.

All we hear about NOUN is missing results! Missing results!! Missing results!!! The irony is that you are told the results are released in batches and when you approach your Study center for rectification, there is little or nothing they can do other than for you to take the TMAs and exams again.

When you send mails to them, you get no response. This is sheer wickedness knowing that most NOUN students are workers who often times sneak out from work to write exams or are given little time by the organization to go write the exam.

Someone I know wrote 7 courses for MBA and only 2 results were released. The MBA batch currently in their 2nd semester has 2 results seized for all the students in a SC. I also read of someone re-writing 8 courses.

This dents the image of the school, adds more stress to the students, more cost incurred and a greater risk of abandoning the program.

NUC needs to be involved in this so that this ill will be checked and corrected.

The man who identified himself as Olufemi Julius came to popular Mobile phone Market in Akure (Olukayode Shopping Complex) with a riffle this morning with intention of killing someone. When apprehended and interrogated, he seemed to be under the influence of codeine. He told police he didn't know anyone at the complex and couldn't explain how he got the rifle. Thankfully, no one was killed or injured as he was overpowered and handed over to the police. More pics after the below...

This life is just a vanity! Temi Omolabake died last night October 26th in a motor accident in Zamfara state on her way back to Sokoto from Sango Ota, Ogun State. She was a 2015 batch A Corp Member serving in Sokoto state. May her soul rest in peace, amen. A friend of hers wrote her a tribute. Read below...

Having been in the studio for some days preparing for the much awaited concert,YBNL boss Olamide did not disappoint his fans as he gave them a stellar performance.Olamide's performance was  electrifying as he tirelessly gave the crowd hit after hit from his extensive backlog.The London audience could not hide their feelings as they sang every word in time with Olamide - from Eleda Mi to Story for the Gods, Melo Melo and so many more besides.

Lil Kesh added more fun to the concert as he performed hits including Gbese and Efejoku, sending the crowd into fits of frenzy.

Phyno was the next on stage.He thrilled the audience with his hits Ladi and Alobam amongst others.

Adekunle Gold's beautiful rendition of 'Orente' was one of the highlights of the night as the crowd sang every word along with him. Dotun from Kool FM was on hand to get the crowd hyped and he was marvellous at raising the temperature in that hall.

Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi arrived Rivers state yesterday following the election tribunal’s nullification of Governor Nyesom Wike’s election.

He was received at the Airforce Base in Port Harcourt, by his wife, Judith and the governorship candidate of the All progressives Congress, Peterside Dakuku.The evening(thanksgiving) of hymns, psalms and spiritual songs was held at Aztech Arcum along Ken Saro Wiwa road. 

The special thanksgiving service was tocelebrate the 8th year of the supreme court ruling that made him governor of the state on October 25th 2007. The supreme court had on the day nullified the election of Celetine Omehia and installed Rotimi Amaechi as governor.

Speaking Sunday evening at a forum of the party in Port Harcourt Amaechi said those familiar with his political history know that things sometimes don’t come easy.

He said they won the tribunal judgement by the grace of God. ” You can pay all the money you want to pay but if God says it is not your turn it is not your turn. It is God that gave the victory at the tribunal.

Even if we win at the Supreme Court it is still not yet time for celebration

This is not a new path for those of you who know me. We did not know they had fixed Saturday for judgement, here we are to thank God.”

The former governor told the gathering to turn to Luke chapter 17 reading from verse 11. The story is about one of the lepers who came back to express gratitude to God after they were healed of leprosy.

He charged his followers to learn to thank God, saying God had been there for him. He said he became a governor at 34 and fifty, a(the crowd echoed Minister). He said he will ever be grateful to God.

He called on his followers to continue to,pray for victory politically.

On his part, Peterside said he was hopeful that the party will win the rerun election ordered by the tribunal.

He called on members of the party to be peaceful and continue to conduct themselves decently.

He went into memory lane, saying that it was in October 2007 former governor Amaechi secured a court Supreme Court judgement that installed him governor of the state, adding that this October again a tribunal ruled, annulling the last governorship election.

Former governor Amaechi who spoke to newsmen on the sideline of the event also expressed assurance that the party will reclaim the state.

We need help. My friend graduated 11yeras ago with 2:2 (CGPA : 3.47). He ordered for his transcript few months ago for his MBA programm and discovered that the school made a mistake. When we recalculate the scores we discovered that the correct CGPA is 3.52 which is second class upper.

Good people of nairaland, kindly advise us on what to do.

All these thieves parading around as leaders, its terrible !!! Buhari camouflaged as an undertaker who will tackle corruption but the situation so far seem to be in favor of the same old criminals. This guy Amaechi landed at the Airforce base, SHAME NO DEY CATCH YOU !!! A state you governed for 8 years yet you couldn't do anything about the International Airport. To make matters worse, the same government parading as corruption undertaker has approved you as a Minister (only in Nigeria) !!!
In a developed nation, if you fail in your duties, you will never hold such or similar position again but in Nigeria the reverse is the case.
Buhari shouldn't deceive people in the name of tackling corruption, call a spade a spade, recently there has been probe on individuals but the outcome and proceeds of the crime is insignificant, how can someone embezzle $50, million and you charge such person to court, the court sits and grant bail in the sum of N 500,000 (This is not justice). You need to demonstrate that assets and funds in the likely sum was recovered and the ministry where such proceeds will be invested (This is being transparent).
Amaechi is a known culprit who obviously embezzled funds just like other politicians, why nominate him again for a public post when his track record is tarnished. There are over 180 million Nigerians who can occupy such post yet you choose to offer it to a member of the cabal.
Nigerians should wake up cos this is not the way towards tackling corruption
Those officials who held public offices should not be exonerated until a panel of Independent Committee nominated by trusted external partners of Nigeria sits through their case files, align their previous allocated funds to what has been achieved so far in the states. This will serve as a basis of making strategic decisions.

Elvis died Sunday afternoon in an undisclosed hospital in Benin after battling a protracted heart-related disease.

My Own Answer

I believe personally( I can only speak for myself i dont know or want to judge anyone elses hearts) - I go becuase- 1st God told me to, (Hebrews-KJV) -2- I want to, God has given a gift to me that no man can ever buy or make, I am a pardened prisoner who is walking now in liberty, God tells me to be a man after his heart, a leader of my home and a good father, in that, He tells me to love my family and wife as He loved the church. In hebrew the word we have translated into "chuch" actually meant-"assemble". 3- the love of God and lost souls, not only does that make me want to tell everyone of my Savior, but it makes me want to follow Gods rules, part of that is to be in a place where I can worship, praise and draw closer to my God under a pastor that is the man God wants him to be.

I go 2 church, GOD deserve 2 b praise and is a previlenge 4 me 2 worship him. I go 2 church, GOD is d owner of my life and my properties and he is free 2 take my life @ anytime he want's it. I have been dating my fiance for 3 years now. In the beginning everything was cool until recently. About a month ago, I found condoms an, empty pack of condoms in his bag, I confronted him about it and he told me he saw the pack on the floor and he liked the colour of the pack so he picked it up.
