BRAVAGAD0O:
Hello friends, 1st of all, I don't want you to see me as a man that involves third party in his marrital life/affair, am not that kind of man, in fact a lot of things go on that I rather let it stay in my home for us to sort or face together than involving family or friends but this challenge is really heavy for me to bear.

I don't really know what else to preach to her that I don't like her behavior anytime am broke ,for me it's a total turn off because it always makes me feel like am not being appreciated even with all my efforts to make us happy.

My wife nag anytime am broke or notice my pay ain't coming soon, all she does is play blame game like telling me all sort of story, like she never eat since last year, like she's not happy, that the marriage is hell because of just few days broke, and the few days broke doesn't mean no food for us, the few days broke doesn't mean I won't raise money to fuel generator talk less of some more important bills. I am just 10 months old in this marriage, please, real men in the house kindly advice me on what to do, if am the one being wrong here because I don't understand why she's always like that.

Lalasticlala I wouldn't mind front page at all because I really want to learn from all other husbands out there... Thanks

I have some questions, cos your post is inadequate to proffer solution

Q1.did you give her the impression that you were loaded before marriage

Q2.did you always meet her every need & demands before marriage

Q3. Whenever u were low on cash, did she nag before marriage

Q4. Is she the type that naturally likes money, good things, good life?

If the answer to all my questions is a resounding YES, then my advice is bro "CARRY YOUR CROSS"

There is little you can do, even to bring God into this picture, it will take a lot of faith & patience on your part.

You have moulded her into this, there is a saying "don't start what you can't finish"

The courtship period is the period to lay boundaries & mould your partner into what u want or desire with compromises atimes.

BUT

if the answers to my above questions is NO, then check her friends or the persons who are advising her!! Most likely a newly found friendship or acquaintance

If you find any, ensure you Cut her off from them

Then a heart to heart communication with her & begin a deliberate & conscious effort to retrain her!!

It will take patience on ur part!!

Men hate emasculation alot, hope u don't degenerate into beating!!!

Politics / Buhari’s Appointments: Ethnicity Or Comfortability By Princewill Odidi by harveyspec: 6:15pm On Aug 31, 2015
Ethnicity plays such a major part in the
consciousness of Nigerians so much that, once a list of appointees are released, as most Nigerians go through the list, instead of accessing the strength of the individuals, they immediately attempt to group the appointees by ethnicity, religion or clans.

Is Muhammadu Buhari an ethnic bigot? I would rather argue, that ethnicity may not be at the back of his mind when these appointments are made, rather in putting together his core team, he goes for colleagues, and professionals most of whom he is comfortable with, who only happen to be northerners by tribe. Definitely, it is not a northern agenda as some have opined, I would prefer to call it “comfort level appointments”. Comfort level appointments are not new all over the world. Remember more than 20 Harvard Law School classmates of Barack Obama where in his transition
team and later made his initial government. Did
Americans cry over the fact he appointed mostly his classmates? No. Also, the world of Chicago politics produced his most influential advisers, including chief campaign strategist David Axelrod and businesswoman Valerie Jarrett. So you can see that most leaders, upon assuming office, appoint people closest to them

Why should Buhari be viewed differently? Fortunately most people in Buharis inner circles, majority happen to be Northerners, not by choice, but by birth. Do we really need to hold that against them? Ethnicity plays the same role as classmate’s relationships
Let’s take on David Cameron, British Prime Minister, he surrounded himself with his classmates from Eton College. His core advisers were a clique, a network of friends — the friends he made at school, friends he made at university. So Presidents and leaders, starting their governments with their close friends and
aides is nothing new.

Also, lets come back home. Remember, when Donald Duke brought his close friend from Oron Akwa Ibom state to be the head of Cross River State Economic development office in Washington DC is 1999? While in Washington, Larry Esin directed CRS’ foreign direct investment program and developed initiatives
to encourage private enterprise development in strategic industries. Most people even argued at a point, that development projects Donald initiated were mostly Larry Esin concepts. Again, bringing your buddies to work with you is not new in modern day governments.

Now the big question: Why is Buhari’s case viewed differently? The answer is simple. “Resource control” and the “psychology of belonging’. What this means is that when appointments are made, traditionally, Nigerians expect that “our man is there”, so he bring government largesse to us. That is the mentality of sharing the national cake. However, many will be disappointed with my line of thought.
The change Buhari talked about and the change we all advocated for was not the change to share national cake as we had in the past, it was the change of building Nigeria. As Nigerians, we have a choice to make, we can continue to share our resources or we can decide to build our country. If it will take all Hausas, or Yoruba’s or Efiks to make Nigeria work again, let’s give it a try.

The second and most annoying aspect of this
argument is the “psychology of belonging”. Most
Nigerians are just contented that someone from their tribe is in office, even if he benefits nothing all through the person’s tenure in office. This is a regressive mentality and will continue to perpetuate underdevelopment in our society
Thousands of people from Otta Obasanjo’s town, have no jobs, no houses, and no food and yet their son was once a President. Thousands of people from Otueke, Jonathans town, have no portable drinking water, no jobs, no houses, cannot afford to pay the school fees of their children, yet they are contented their son was President. Nigerians should come to a
mentality that where a leader comes from is irrelevant, what matters is his ability to deliver.
Fellow Nigerians, let’s get it right, it is not about
where a man comes from, it is about what he can deliver and how he can change your life
This is the mentality that can change Nigeria, and I pray my generation will live to judge men, not by their ethnicity or place of origin, but by the content of their character and place of residence.

A Yoruba boy who was born in Calabar, went to school in Calabar, his parent’s pay taxes to Cross River state government, all his friends are mostly in Calabar, should be accepted as an indigene of Cross River state, and should be entitled to all benefits our people have, that’s the new Nigeria we want.

Remember the old national anthem? Though tribes and tongues may differ in brotherhood we stand. Finally, I understand some maybe quick to point out “federal character”, zoning, state-ism and religion in appointments, I understand all of that. But if you want to know the truth, those federal character, zoning, state-ism, ethnicity and religion is everything wrong
with Nigeria

The biggest impediment to Nigeria’s development today is leadership. However, ethnic sentiments has made it difficult to attain national development. Example, if the EFCC start probing politicians, rather than applaud their work, we start counting how many
Hausas and Yoruba’s been convicted.

If Nigeria must move forward, we need to make a choice. Either we decide to build on an ethnic free future and move on to great heights, or we continue to hold on ethnic sentiments, state-ism and zoning and remain backward.

Now that Buhari has started his appointments, the question should not be the tribes of his new hires, rather the question should be: Are these appointees qualified to deliver the goods and to build a newNigeria? Buharis initial appointees are mostly those close to him, if they are all Hausas should not be over emphasized, what should concern us at this time is, can they really deliver. Obama started with over 20 of his Harvard classmates, Cameron of Britain started with most of his school mates from Eton College, Buhari is starting with most of his political aides and associates majority of whom happen to be Hausas, not by choice but by birth, lets us not over labor the fact, Nigeria’s biggest problem continue to be leadership and ethnicity, zoning, religion has over the years kept some of our very best away, Let us support Buharis vision of change, it’s not so much about sharing the national cake, this time around it is about baking the cake. The channel through which this cake is baked is irrelevant, let’s make Nigeria
work.

A full grown man with raging hormones that's needs to be released can UnCloth an 18yr with one hand with ease

I hope you are aware that a man who is turned on & about to get down with a lady will do everything possible to have his way, at that time he won't be thinking whether her dress will get torn or how he will explain how it got torn

My premise is based on the picture in my mind that the lady in question was small, how many "big" 18yr old do you know.

With one hand on the lady's throat, if you are the lady, where will u channel your hand movement to?

To ur dress that is being removed or ur throat region due to ur inability to breathe?

Aunty, it's not as easy as u think, she is 18yrs, probably weighs not more than 50kg

Then the agbalagba is 40yrs, full grown man weighing probably 70-80kg.

if a full grown man pins a 18yrs lady down, there is nothing she can do. Factor in her account, she bent to pick something & the man jumps on her slams her on the couch & has his way

It's very possible for him to pin her down & she won't be able to shout.

On the other hand, the man is lying, if she really seduced him, she won't give such account of the man's restlessness

She said the guy kept standing up & sitting down, offering her things(switching on Ac, Tv etc)

That's classical sign of a man on heat or a man who wants to do something with a lady

Secondly, the medical assault facility confirms that she was assaulted. Meaning there was a struggle

Sir if you think 1.6m can not land a used 2007 Toyota camry, then I must say you are new in this business

Regards

1. Your listed business address shows as America autos on google maps, can you explain that

When inspired issue came up, it was establish that his listed showroom address on his website was actually seaburn motors

2. Setting aside, the current exchange rate, to clear a 2007 car(good spirited observers have even pointed it out that its is a 2010 car) should not be less than 500k(I recently cleared a 2005 sedan)

that reduces your 1.6m to 1.1m, how much will shipping & actual cost price be & how much will your gain be?

The Internet has made things less mystifying, a cursory glance thru auction sites will give an average cost of what a 2007 or 2010 Camry will be & it will not be less than $5000(excluding shipping) excerpt if its an accidented car!!

$5000 at N180 is already 900k, how possible again is it for one to get direct tokunbo for 1.6m

Someone just bought 1999 Camry for 900k, direct tokunbo

pls explain

For those that called for details on interest rate, I wish to state that no bank can give an interest rate of 8percent on a savings account. Lets say you are contributing 10k monthly. With IGIplc your interest is N800 for every 10k each month. After a year, your interest will be compounded thereby giving you higher profit. This is the investment part of the policy.

The second part is the cover, for instance, you want to make a monthly contribution of 20k for the next... lets say 5yrs. Your sum assured will then be 1.2m (excluding interest)i.e 20k multiply by 12 multiply by 5. What IGI is saying is should there be accidental death, your beneficiary(ies) will be paid the sum assured despite the fact that your investment has not matured.

Thanks for the earlier response.

1. Can't I opt for a lower term ie less than 5yrs

2. lets assume I want my premium to be 15k every month for a 5yr term

a.What will be the total package at maturity
b. in the event of my demise say in the 2nd or 3rd year, what will my NOK get

PS:you said 8% interest, is it per month or per annum

Thanks

Travel / Re: REFUSAL Of Visa And Seizure Of Passport By UK Embassy by harveyspec: 7:27pm On Jul 13, 2015
MadCow1:

Most European, AMERICAN and Canadian Airports have no immigration stand at the departure terminals..

Reason being they are more interested in stopping people entering illegally than leaving.

So NO, you don't get an exit stamp when leaving the UK by Air or even rail.. (Atleast I am sure of those 2). Same for the United States and Canada as well. Infact most European Nation's too.

So the only stamps you get on your passport are the entry stamp into the European or American or Canadian Airport and the exit stamp you get is the arrival stamp at the destination country (in this case Nigeria).

So what people do is that when they arrive Nigeria, they will pally with the immigrations guys and they will walk them through the check in counter and just hand them their passports unstamped or stamped with a pre-season date depending on the type of scam you are running. It does not hurt Nigeria per se as you can't be deported from your home nation, but it affects the Country you are scamming.

It's an old trick but I researched it and found out that the scam is very weak and when it shows, it ends up not being worth it as you lose your Visa, get banned and sometimes deported and your opportunity of ever entering that country again diminishes greatly. Sometimes in the case of the EU, you may never enter Europe again.

Thanks, now I get it

So I over stay & when I get to Nigeria, I will back date the stamp to make it look like I stayed within the stipulated time

why engage in such gamble in this infotech age, now I understand why the penalty is banning

How do you account for your airline tickets, boarding pass for that date

I hope he will brief the house on the outcome of his appeal
Travel / Re: REFUSAL Of Visa And Seizure Of Passport By UK Embassy by harveyspec: 2:49pm On Jul 13, 2015
MadCow1:
Dear OP,

Stamp fraud is as old as it gets and is perpetuated by most third world nation's with lax immigrations officials.
Many nation's have caught on and are now taking steps to tackle this issue. What obtains now is that people over stay on their Visas and then leave the country at their own time and then back date the entry stamp on arrival against their next trip to make it appear like they actually abided by the time on the Visa. I know this first hand and I have even done it a couple of times before myself.

However my curiosity got the better of me and I investigated how foolproof this system is and found that it's easy for the immigrations to bust this scam. You will remember that their is the self check in machine at the airport where you input your passport and get your boarding pass from, that infomation is shared between the airlines and immigrations. The airports that don't have it still send flight manifests to the immigrations services. Now if an immigrations official chooses to query your application, they simply pull your details and cross check it against flight manifests for the day in question that you claimed to have left.

my advice to you is that you either query it if your claims Are genuine or just let it slide if they are right. It's one or the other. They UK can't size a valid Nigerian passport without reason.

check yourself.

I thought when you are exiting a country, there will be an exit stamp by that country & when you land in your destination, there will be an entry stamp

So how can one back date any?

If I leave the Uk today & arrive US tomorrow & then Nigeria next week, how can Nigerian immigration backdate my entry stamp last week, when There is an exit stamp by US on my passport

Pls Can you throw more light on this

Di**ck Rider presents a wedding photo of her & an enlarged photograph with "marriage certificate" I doubt this part(na who sign for the man)

Second lady(missy b) presents real wedding photos of her & the man with marriage certificate

Pls who will you declare as the real & legitimate wife?

Family / Re: My Wife Shows No Affection by harveyspec: 5:35pm On Jul 05, 2015

I am a 36 year old man in pretty good shape, 6'2" and good looking. I am a very affectionate and loving person, but my wife is not. I am always the one to initiate sex, hugs, kisses, or any type of physical contact. I don't understand why she's so cold to me. I love her with all my heart, but she is breaking me down. I have tried doing more of the housework, working out 5 days a week, anything I could think of to get her more interested in me but nothing works. She tells me that she loves me, but she doesn't make me feel loved at all. I want her to want to be with me without me asking her too. We have 2 kids that I am committed to being here for, so I am at a loss as to what I should do. Sorry for rambling, but a brother needs help here.

1. Has she always been like this? at the inception of the union or during courtship

2.if the answer to No1 is NO, start doing those things that used to thrill her & make her feel loved, this will only work on the grounds that there are no issues between you two

2a. If she is angry at you cos of what you did or did not do, then all ur entreaties will be irritating to her, so find out

2b. Find out is she is having any medical issues eg depression, is she in some kind of trouble, maybe money issues, is all well with her family etc

3.if the answer to No 1, is YES. Why then are you complaining?

4. I will recommend 5 love languages by Dr Gary chapman, go read it

It talks about how we give & show love, if you keep showing love to your wife the way u want & not how she wants, then ur efforts will be futile

eg some ladies feel loved when u spend quality with them, show them attention. If you substitute this action with gifts, you will find out no matter the gifts you buy, if you don't spend time with them it will mean nothing to them

You hear such women say" I want to spend time with my husband" while another says " my husband can travel all he wants, he should leave enough money for me & the kids"

there is nothing wrong with them, it's just their love language, so if u spend quality time with the one that loves money/gifts without the gift, all that time will amount to nothing

The love languages are

1.words of affirmation
2.gifts
3.acts of service
4.quality time
5.physical touch

Can you identify yours?
Can you identify that of your spouse?

A sinking fund is a fund established by an economic entity by setting aside revenue over a period of time to fund a future capital expense, or repayment of a long-term debt. Insurance companies here practice it more with varying policies e.g children's education, 5 year personal plan, all you do is drop an amount monthly, and you wont access it within a stipulated time frame, lets say 5 years and upon expiration of the period, you get your total sum plus interest.

It takes a lot of discipline and determination....but it is achievable...whenever am invited to speak on financial issues, i always cite this example because a friend did it conveniently and i have one myself currently in its 3rd year...

can you recommend a trusted company that has the personal plan option

I had a friend who when we started work, got a job with a bank and was saving 100k monthly from his salary into a sinking fund for 5 years, and by the 5th year, he had enough to buy himself a 3 bedroom bungalow just from money he didnt have need for since he wasn't someone who believed in doing business. Though it wasnt easy for him at the beginning, but as time went on, his salary went up and he was able to save more comfortably...while his mates were getting loans to buy big cars and rent 1.5m appartments, he was saving, I cannot tell you how much he has saved since buying his 3 bedroom flat in 2010 and now is an AM in the bank, do the maths...

Pls what's a sinking fund? Can you give examples

The boss asked her to change some dollars to Naira in the bank.

I believe your story, I have heard a lot about such. but the quoted is what I don't get, can one change dollars in the bank?

To the best of my knowledge, when you want to open a domicillary account or a prepaid card denominated in a foreign currency, you are asked to go get it from outside, they won't sell to you. So how was your Gf able to change the money at the bank?

just to add, my Aunty boarded a taxi & it was those "there is dollars in the boot, let's share or go to police station scenario" she intervened & got jazzed, they got a truck & followed her home collected all her money & belongings.

they still asked for more money, she was to take them elsewhere, on route they got to a checkpoint & the police demanded to know whose property those were & the owner, they pointed to my aunt who was sitting with them, the police asked my aunt, she couldn't speak, she was just staring, that's how they were arrested

So a lot happens, one should just pray not to cross their part
