Politics / Is Goodluck Jonathan Scared Of Addressing Nigerians Or What ? by hatch: 4:40pm On Aug 27, 2011
No doubt Nigeria has been visited by one tragedy or the other courtesy our notorious Boko Haram sect in the form of bomb blasts with the recent and most dastardly being the UN headquarters bombing yesterday morning in Abuja.

But to the shock of many GEJ comfortably issued a statement through his Prime Mister in the person of Reuben Abati. The  Nature / Magnitude of the damage and mayhem caused  by this bomb blast, I believe the least Nigerians deserved was an address by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria but instead our oga once again sent his Prime Minster.

This worries me that a lot that we seem to have a president that is afraid of directly communicating with his people.

Celebrities / Re: Breaking News-sam Loco Efe Is Dead Yesterday 6th Aug In His Hotel Room At Owerri by hatch: 8:46pm On Aug 07, 2011
naijaspeak:

Sad to hear in the news media that Sam Loco Efe is dead. However, I want to say that Sam Loco did not do much to promote the movie industry of his own people the urhobo people and perhaps delta state. He spent all his life time promoting films of easteners. Many deltans want to see him come to delta state and identify with the state. Get a lot of urhobo boys and girls into the film industry. Sam loco fail to do this even though he is in a good position to develop the film industry of delta state.

Most of the film Sam Loco acted was only promoting ibo culture and most of his tribes men especially the average urbobo man would have love to see him support urbobo culture and film. But he failed to do this.

Take for example, Justus Esiri ( an urhobo man ) promoted the film industry in the Niger delta and also supported niger delta development struggle for self determination and development. But I do not see Sam Loco do all this.

So I will say that that detal state did not benefit much from Sam Loco professionalism as far as movie making and the movie industry is concerned.

Why do some people just like displaying their sheer lack on common sense even though i support the universal claim that common sense is in no way common.
@naijaspeaks i guess you must be feeling very intelligent right now. Any way lets wait till you grow up to be 66 and we will see what you will do to promote Urhobo embarassed embarassed tongue
Politics / The Jonathan That Was, Is And Is To Come by hatch: 4:32am On Jun 24, 2011
http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/Opinion/Columns/5720430-184/story.csp

After the kind of a night that you will expect of a newly married couple, my wife and I woke up relishing the stories of our growing up days, then, furiously, she declared, "If only Jonathan cares to listen to other people's stories too, then he will know that his going to school without slippers is the least a Nigerian child of today could have prayed for."

United Nations statistics reveal that just a little above 40 percent of Nigerian children attend school; safe drinking water takes priority on the prayer list of every Nigerian home, courtesy of fake borehole projects of the political class. Simply put: the country is becoming more unsafe for its poverty- ridden people to live in.

At least Goodluck Jonathan had the opportunity of attending school, going to fish in the river (which had not been polluted by Shell, Chevron and the rest of the gang), and waking up every morning with no fear of guns sounding in the creeks or kidnappers on the streets and Boko Haram from outer space, or whatever planet they live on. Yes, the man is indeed a lucky man.

If only Ebele (as I will henceforth refer to him; not a sign of disrespect but a journey back to his pristine past) had woken up every morning and had to first hawk "pure water" on the streets to get his school fees paid, and return home only to find the family shelter demolished by the government (plot to be re-allocated shortly to the local government chairperson).

If only Ebele had needed to watch the white oil magnate visit his village, burn the bushes, pollute the creeks ‑ and be left with no option but to buy fish from the refrigerator woman. If the present president had, as a kid, been rejected from the hospital after he had been diagnosed of typhoid fever caused by unsafe drinking water, and asked to join a queue to pay thousands of naira that his parents could have afforded, except that the father's pension was yet to be paid.

If only Ebele had come back from school to meet a crowd at his house wailing over the news of the attack on his brother serving his motherland in the name of NYSC (National Youth Service Corps), by rioters in the north of the country.

If only Ebele had been a staff of Agbongbe Primary School joining other protesting teachers to demand payment of the "approved" N18,000 minimum wage.

But Ebele is now the President of Nigeria and I am afraid of what is to come. Just like our leaders of yesteryears, I am afraid that, by 2015, we may have a Jonathan who will blame his predecessors, enemies and the witches of his village for his poor performance.

I have no reason to doubt Jonathan's ability to perform excellently, but all I have seen is a President who promised us increased power supply but, just this week, Egbin power plant was shut down and the supply of electricity that had never been enough dropped almost by half. Bomb detonations have taken over the nation; security is now "of the Lord" ‑ and not of the Nigeria Police Force anymore.

I would like to remind our President that the makeup of his cabinet will go a long way in determining what his testimonial will be by 2015. Just to remind him, it took just an attorney-general in the name of Aondoakaa to delay his assumption of office while his predecessor was incapable of continuing. So he should beware of such officials in his cabinet. Else he would just be turned into a mute by his own ‘Turai', whose ministerial list is allegedly even longer than his.

I know the Jonathan that was and that is ‑ and the summation of both makes me panic at the prospect of the whole four years of his administration easily turning out to be a waste.

Politics / Describe The Term "job Security" In Your Own Words by hatch: 10:06am On Mar 19, 2011
After ther term Job Security was defined by our own No 1 man GoodLuck Jonathan to D'banj " Assuming you r'e doing your job on stage, performing and we start hearing Gun shots outside, there need to be security from such situation as you perform. . . ."

I have come to believe my earlier fears that GEJ is slightly better that his wife and also suspect his so called Phd but lets put that aside and describe job security in your own words,

I believe we Nigerian's have been kind and gentle enough and with former president OBJ's acceptance to give away bakassi away without a fight does not mean that you guys will not get your behinds whooped this time.
By the way, what manner of father will rather wait for his daughter to be fully matured and ripe for marriage before going to claim responibility of the daughter in another man's house.
Politics / I Also "dreamt" That Becomrich Became Nigeria's President by hatch: 4:07am On Jul 28, 2010
Some on NL claimed that he dreamt that IBB was been sworn in as president in Aso rock and swore that his dreams come to pass and that same vein I also dreamt that our own Becomerich was sworn in as Nigeria's next elected president far away in Benin Republic. But I seem to query the authenticity of the dream because as far I can remember Becomerich would not betray "Benin Republic" Amagamation mandate and I believe in this his noble cause of we the yorubas breaking away to join Benin Republic.

What you ought to say is imagine if they had saved themselves all this stress and had just travelled by air, after all you and I know that these Excos would certainly have collected or presented vouchers for their journey by air.Even though Uyo destination is relatively new,I know that both Arik and Aero covers the route.
