So you can over panel your system but ensure your connection does not exceed the specified VOC and Rated Amp for the charge controller. I have a 3600w pannel connection on a 60A, 145v Charge controller and my system is a 24v. what i simply did was to respect the charge controller specification and i have been running it for a year now without issues. The only thing is that the charge controller will limit the wattage been generated to the CC specified cap wattage and waste the others inform of heat.

Thanks for clarifying.

We still saying the same thing. Whether u connect in series+parallel, the goal is not to exceed the device VOC or u wud be looking for trouble. Some ppl here oversize their panels with their CCs but keep a keen eye on the VOC to avoid stories that touch

Fair enough.

I've checked a bunch of forums online and the consensus is to keep your VOC within spec and the inverter/CC will just draw the current it needs to reach the maximum PV input wattage.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 6:56pm On Apr 12
Drgreatone:

Lolz, how's VOC not an issue?
Dunno abt the srne so can't argue with you. Its fellow 3kva competitors like felicity, powmr and even sms can take way above 1440watts of panels connected

Can connect in series+parallel to meet both voltage and current specifications with minimal power loss.

Yeah, generally 3kva hybrids do better than 1440w, because they're equipped with 80A+ MPPTs. I'm more interested in the niche cases like the SRNE or people who use standalone inverters plus 60A MPPT CCs (Powmr's is capped at 1400W, Felicity's capped at 1650 W).
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 6:06pm On Apr 12
Drgreatone:

The danger is when the panel arrangement exceeds the VOC of the CC/inverter. Some ppl say u can still go above the max panels seeing as there are many over rated panels but never exceed the VOC of ur CC/inverter.
Dunno a 3kva thats capped at 1440w. Even my 2kva12v hybrid can still take up to 2000watts of panels wit a max VOC of 400

VOC isn't much of an issue, as you can get past that with smart wiring.

SRNE's 3KVA hybrid for example, is capped at 1440W.

The popular Powmr 60A MPPT CC is capped at 1400W, even. How do people go about it?

Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 5:54pm On Apr 12
Drgreatone:

The max panel watts for ur powmr is 1440w so ow did u combine urs?

I'm actually very curious about this. What happens if your PV power supply exceeds the CC/Hybrid maximum pv power rating? On a hybrid inverter, for example?

Let's say you have a 3KVA hybrid capped at 1440w (60A*24v). Do you also need to to limit your PV output to that?

The LG Dual Inverter does not have this display, but is can be chilling @ 16°C with less than 600w power depending on the AC capacity and the ambient temperature.
From my battery monitor, after turning off the pv input, my 1.5hp dual inverter AC was turned on @ 16°C with the existing loads of 206w at 4:06pm. The power consumption rises to 1,057w at 4:11pm before dropping to 460w at 4:18pm maintaining the cooling.
The consumption used to be higher than this when the ambient temperature is higher. Apart from the actual power consumption of the AC, the ambient temperature also affect the consumption.

Thanks for this. So essentially, a 1.5 HP LG Dual Inverter AC coasts at around ~300W after the initial startup.

Pretty impressive.

Go for Deye. They are built to last. Very solid.
If you must consider any voltronic based hybrid inverter, go for Growatt.
I would not recommend anything less than these two for VALUE FOR MONEY

Pricier than I expected 🙃

Looking for 3-3.5KW inverter under 400k.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 10:22am On Apr 10
What are the best value for money hybrid inverter makers on the market?

I've seen models from Powmr and Easun, are they solid? What about Sunmate?

Or would I be better served just going with a standalone unit?

What of the Naija used ones?

Surely you can't expect people to sell their cars for cheap and buy replacements at wicked prices?

Custom duty is still calculated at almost 1500/$

Also, cars can take like two months to arrive Nigeria. It's still early for any price changes.

They probably won't, though.

Good day bosses, I’m looking to buy my first car with a budget of around 4-5M, though I have a good experience with cars but I need the OGs advice and choices on the best car I can get in that range
Nigerian used or foreign used any of them
I had a Honda accord 2010, a Toyota Camry 2010 and some Hyundai or Kia series in mind I really don’t like the Toyota Corolla series

It's a bit sad but that budget is on the low side for cars in Nigeria now. I've seen people selling Nigerian ES330s for 5m, for example. Not sure you can even see any toks car for 5m if it has duty.

men, you de burst my brain.

I'm considering the following

1.dodge charger or challenger(2010 upward)
2.LS460(Lexus)
3. E550(because of how you take describe am)
4. IS250(2010-2015)

Considering your budget, I'd probably go with

- Infiniti G37
- Acura TL
- 2012+ C350

Would you consider this as a daily driver? Any regrets so far? Any costly fix so far? Has there been parts availability? Are they that costly? I currently get about 16mpg from my es350 and I don't mind getting a v8 with similar mpg as you posted on page 1.

Daily driver depends on the roads you ply. Good roads are fine, bad roads definitely not. You go fix suspension tire.

For the first 18 months I had this, it was my only car and my area didn't have the best roads. Had a lot of suspension issues, mostly control arms and stabilizer links.

I bought an FX after and started only driving this to places I was sure didn't have bad roads + our roads were all fixed. It's been over a year and I haven't had any suspension issues again.

Otherwise, it's mostly been regular maintenance. I've had to replace my alternator, starter motor, and the battery in the three years I've owned this, though. But that's standard for a car around the 100k mile. Parts are available, since it shares quite a lot of parts with the W204.

Good car. Still eye catching. Still commands respect, and is still an absolute blast to drive.

Gurus in the house, kindly compare 2013/2014 bmw 535i with 2016 infiniti q60 red sport. I'm looking for something that is pocket friendly, runs very well with a little tuning and has very good reliability. The infiniti rs is a bit rare but I can still opt for any 3.0l variant and tune it.

Buy the 5 series. 2014+.

Easier to own in Nigeria, easier to tune, just all-round a better car as well.
