Oh that's a good point that I didn't think about. Ive never experienced that terrible traffic (max one hour) but I've heard that one can spend hours trapped on that bridge on bad days.

And the airport to Onitsha seems unencumbered by traffic problems so it might indeed be the better option than Asaba.

If all men are given 100m each today, that money automatically becomes useless because 100m from 100m people will be chasing the same bread, land, car etc and automatically that bread will become 200m per one, that car will become 10b per one and the system will reset itself back.

I believe that, on average, there are at least 100 beneficiaries of state government in each of Nigeria's 36 states that are dollar millionaires. The complex circle of kitchen cabinet members, trusted contractors, agents, proxies, , money launderers, top mistresses etc... There has to be at least 100 in each state feasting purely on the state government resources that are each worth at least a million dollars.... In some states such as Lagos we are talking of multiple hundreds. So, for the state government related millionaires alone, we're talking about 3,600 of them.

I know for sure that this 9100 estimate is a ridiculous underestimation. Yahoo boys that are worth at least a million dollars in Nigeria are in their thousands. Drug Lords worth at least a million dollars are in their thousands. Other deals men and racketeers worth at least a million dollars are in their thousands....

Then before you come down to corrupt executives in numerous big private organisations and banks, then before you come down to uncountable federal civil servants in positions to steal or have stolen more than a million dollars.........we are talking about multiple hundreds of federal government agencies with yearly budgets of multiple millions of dollars, the CEO/MD/head of each of which is certainly a dollar millionaire. Before you trickle down to the federal civil service proper with its directors and top staff and their allies and money launderers.

These 'businesses' you mentioned are mostly done by people who have a lump of cash acquired via illegal means (corrupt politicians, civil servants, contractors, and company workers, big fraudsters and drug dealers, and such such). Nobody in Nigeria organically started a hotel or real estate business from scratch. Nobody.

So bearing that in mind, there are loads of businesses/niches a smart-lucky chap can capitalise on to hit the big time. But of course such a chap would never come out openly to reveal his trade secrets.

Any idiot in Nigeria that is forming real estate or club owner or filling station or hotel billionaire is a bloody crook. Those are not real businesses that you can grow from scratch to billionaire status in Nigeria. The initial or ongoing expansion funds certainly came from proceeds of criminality/corruption. Unless the real estate or hotel business is merely an arm of a conglomerate such as YSG group, Ibeto Hotel, etc... And if you check, such men are not known for their real estate investments or hotels. They are known for what actually gave them money. Anybody in Nigeria that is known as a billionaire due to his real estate or hotel or club or such, is a crook. Take that to the bank.
