banio:Young man, GEJ sacked Stella Oduah to please the baying mob of Nigerians, even though Stella Oduah did nothing wrong with respect to the popular allegation. To repeat for emphasis, GEJ sha SACKED Oduah! Has Buhari sacked Adeosun? Why the unnecessary comparison? And then to come to the real issues, so-called BMW cars, Stella Oduah didn't use or buy. It was for NCAA. An independent agency of government. BOUGHT by NCAA, but only 'oversightedly' signed 'needfully' by Oduah as the supervising Minister. That's not the same thing as entertaining the presence of a PROVEN certificate forger and perjurer in your cabinet like Buhari is doing. Why hasn't Buhari sacked Adeosun? She deserves to be prosecuted and jailed for lying under oath and falsifying a government document but let's leave that for now. Why has the Federal Government of Buhari not even reacted at all, and SACK her first when she's apparently guilty? |
Yeah. Unfortunately 10 years from now when he's a First Class graduate from a top school, Nigerians would ask him: Na by book? How much he get? Falz and Wande Coal would sing "Eni to moo way lo mo wee" (na person wey know way to make money na him sabi book) The same hypocrite Falz (like father like son) forming socially conscious o, na him sing that kind repugnant song that promotes the materialistic, desperate, and money prioritising status quo. After all said and done, Nigeria does not appreciate academic brilliance, intellectual excellence, or professional accomplishment of any sort - unless it yields plenty money now now now. According to them, "If you no get money, hide your face". So therefore, I advise my young brilliant friend to start now to focus on making money - by hook or crook - even if it means grovelling before riff-raff in his area to learn "wetin him mate dey do'. Otherwise him name go be sorry. |
koboko69:The problem with Internet be say anybody wey get small data and small phone go fit air him opinion claim say he get sense. A party chairman has ZERO legal or conventional power over a minister of the Federal Republic. Constitutionally, a minister owes his appointment and allegiance to the president ONLY. In fact, to show you why the party has nothing to do with it, many ministers have been appointed throughout our democratic history that didn't belong to the so-called ruling party. When Obasanjo appointed the late Cicero of Esa Oke, more generally known as Bola Ige, first as minister of Power and Steel, and subsequently as AGF and Minister of Justice, he (Bola Ige) was a prominent member of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) as it then was! What could Solomon Lar (of blessed memory), as PDP party chairman, have dictated to Bola Ige? Nothing. Because the party had no say over him whatsoever. Ministers are only answerable to the president. Full stop. I'm not in the mood for long history and law lessons, so let me leave it at that. |
VULCAN:I was like you before. In the immediate aftermath of Jonathan's loss in 2015, I was extremely depressed, mad and I wished him death for being a "weakling". But then, there's a lot about these things. One can never be as wise and as knowledgeable as the sages of old and the gods. But at least, one can gain deep insight with a little bit of patience and hindsight. Everything happens for a reason. And the reason Jonathan relinquished power so seemingly weakly is to help Nigeria learn the hard way. It's a very long learning curve. Now Nigeria can see Buhari for who he really is. No "had it been" permutations. Let's leave Jonathan out of it for now, because the main reason I quoted you isn't about Jonathan. It's about the emboldened last paragraph. Everything is wrong with that statement. First, there's nothing like a "weak man". A man is only as strong as his motivations and resources. But that's not even the point. No one GIVES power. Power is seldom "given". It is TAKEN. Any person or group of persons who purport to 'give' power would only do so to someone they can control - i.e. to a supposedly "weak" person. In that sense, nobody gives power, they only seek to retain power by installing a (weak) figurehead that can help them achieve this. Jonathan owes his accent to power 100% to Obasanjo. Objectively speaking, If Jonathan was really weak, he would have been Obasanjo's stooge till the end, but of course, we know he wasn't. As experience has shown throughout history, anyone who supposedly gives power to anyone else on the hope to control such a person often ends up disappointed. In the context of political power, nobody is strong or weak. We're only as strong or weak as our motivations AND resources allow. Jonathan didn't have the motivation to gain or retain power, hence his reluctance to use the MIGHTY resources at his disposal to perpetuate himself. On the flip side, Buhari had/has the motivation to retain power by all means, hence he is using and shall use all the resources at his disposal to do so. Therefore, there's nothing like giving or not giving power to a "weak" man. Power is never given in the real sense. Even if it were, nobody in the position to give power would ever give it to a "strong" man. |
Look at the demented party chairman. The APC is just a joke. Then again, this short fool called Adams doesn't have the temperament and leadership quality required to be a party chairman. How dare he give orders and talk condescendingly to Ngige, as if he is in anyway superior to him. Well, I trust that Small Stout of a man called Ngige. He would put Oshiomole in his black and ugly place. But ultimately, this provides further proof that Buhari isn't in charge. Re-electing the senile old bigot next year would mean that Nigeria would run rudderlessly under the control of multiple power cells for four bloody years.. The country would not survive such. |
madridguy:Just look at this maggot. So you can't respond to or address the issues raised by the writer of this article? Well. The venom inside of me is enough to bring down Nairaland's server if I unleash it on you right now, so I would exercise restraint. |
This is how to treat women when you have money. You can't afford to have money and then you allow one woman ride you and play with your heart and head all in the name of "love" and relationship. They're mostly money craving bitches with no self respect. Imagine how one of these worthless things would be treating a broke guy around her vicinity with contempt. So, If you have money, don't pity them. It is not your job to help them preserve dignity they don't have. It's your job to strip them of any modicum tiniest bit of dignity they have left. |
candy:This is the whole truth unfortunately, but that's why Nigerians must prepare now. We must resist this attempt. If Jonathan wasn't allowed to rig, then there's no reason Buhari should be allowed to. The fact that this whole analysis is predicated on rigging makes me very uncomfortable. As if we should accept it as a fait accompli that this incompetent animal called Buhari would rig himself into a second term in spite of his unprecedented failure and that there's nothing Nigerians can do about. |
Just look at the bloody ingrate. Someone that has been David Mark's boy all along and rode on his back for ages - David Mark even made him a minister under GEJ. Unless this means David Mark is voluntarily stepping down and is no longer interested in the Senate. |
EgunMogaji:Come on Bros. These are highly patriotic national icons and role models. They've done more to make Nigeria proud in one month (by loafing around in Russia) than Buhari has done in almost 4 years. |
See them. Nigerian heroes... Outstayed even the champions France in Russia. Why isn't Buhari there at the airport to welcome them? |
Anything Nigerian owned and/or operated must be shitty. It's a problem. |
jerk:Na wa o. Sometimes I marvel at the sharp disconnect between the online world and real life. I' have always been dissuaded from VW cars because everyone says they overheat terribly. I know for sure that the Golf 4 and VW Passat (don't know about the very recent models) does that along with several other issues. So what do you think? Is the overheating problem true, and what else should we be worried about VW cars? |
How can I be using a phone whose name I can't even pronounce? |
fantasticone1:Nigeria's politics is not ripe enough to admit distinguished and accomplished gentlemen like Akin Ogunbiyi. Adeleke stands a better chance of winning the main gubernatorial election than Ogunbiyi, that's the truth. The illiterate rural dwellers who are in the majority and who are the ones whose votes count the most would prefer to vote Adeleke because that's who they know. The same thing happens at the national level where an animal like Buhari and his supporters would boast that his 'standby' millions of voters in the north don't even know what the Internet means, let alone social media. Meaning that there happy to keep their voters poor, illiterate, and unenlightened so that they would continue using them like pawns. In other words the majority of voters are not enlightened enough to vote for competent candidates. They'd rather vote for a brain dead cattle rearer like Buhari, than vote for someone like Donald Duke or Sowore. That's our present level of political development in Nigeria. |
Linsigne:You sound retarrded. It's a symptom that is common with you illiterate Buhari supporters. Which 'our' money did Atiku steal? How much exactly, and from where? |
Atiku inspires confidence in me, and I say that without any prejudice, inducement or anticipation of personal gain. Looking at him sef, he has the body language of leadership and action. A doer who would be decisive about issues, rather than the slow poison that is currently fouling up the air in Aso Rock. An incompetent and woeful old bastard who took six long months to appoint the most useless cabinet in Nigerian history, and is on the verge of doing an unprecedented full 4 year term without sacking a single minister or reshuffling his cabinet or even changing the useless security service chiefs! In spite of all the woes and troubles Nigeria is going through! Best of all, Atiku is the most detribalised and liberal core northerner I know, with vast network of contacts and stakes across Nigeria. Heck, his two most well known wives are even Southern Christian women - Madam Titi is a jaiye jaiye Christian woman from Osun State, while Jennifer is from Anambra State. Nobody can accuse Atiku of being bigoted, or being a religious or ethnocentric fanatic. I feel Nigerians must give this man a chance to acquit himself. |
Kewtt:And how much will he be paid for his research in order to afford luxury cars? Nigerian senior lecturers and professors are fond of misusing/misappropriating research grants. If any international organisation or donor agency provides millions in grants, it is not meant to fund your flamboyant lifestyle or to buy 'big Jeep'. It is meant to fund knowledge development - research! The only legal ways to make money as a scholar is through your legitimate salaries, sales of published books, and in some cases fees for consulting services. Only a tiny percentage of Nigerian scholars are good enough to command legitimate mega fees for consulting work. The overwhelming majority are just bloody incompetent thieves. |
Kewtt:Oh please. What do you mean by "active scholar"? |
KINGOFTHEEAST:It was a great insult on Nigerians to replace the globally renowned, accomplished, illustrious and widely respected intellectual goddess like Ngozi with a mediocre woman of easy virtue like Kemi. A poseur who isn't even sure of what she should sound like, which is a sign of identity crisis. Today she fakes a cockney accent infused with undercurrents of Jamaican Patois abi na reggae. Tomorrow she sounds slightly Ghanaian with quasi American slur and a hint of Ijebu dialect. This useless woman that was Ogun State governor's mistress, then due to parakpoism, she was elevated to federal mistress to take over from someone whose undergarments she isn't even qualified to wash. Nigeria is a tragedy of monumental proportions. |
And yet they would tell you that the Daura animal is fighting kwarapshin. What I find most disgusting is the arrogance and disdain with which he ignores Nigerians when they expect him to take action against a proven criminal appointee. From Buratai to IGP Idris to Adeosun. He simply raises his nose and tells you all to go to hell. It beats me. |
Looks don't lie. The Isiaka resemble uncle Thiefnumbu true true. He is a lightly less ugly version. Let's hope against hope that he is also slightly less inclined to greed, primitive acquisition of illicit wealth, and mammoth corruption than his uncle in Bourdillon. |
sarrki:Sense has finally located this one. Oluwa be praised. |
gypsey:Not in shithole schools like Oko Poly and many of such schools across Nigeria (all the 'Polys' without exception, LASU, OOU, TAOSED or whatever, IMSU, UNICAL, UNIUYO, etc. Etc. Etc.). Unfortunately, these kinds of schools are in the majority.). Even if you're Okonjo Iweala Junior, these mediocre bastards who call themselves lecturers would fail you if you refuse to cooperate. But in fairly 'good' schools with at least old name and standards to protect (UNN, UI, Unilag, UNILORIN, UNIBEN, and so on), truly brilliant girls are spared all of this nonsense. Any foolish lecturer who goes beyond his boundary with these kinds of girls ends up regretting it. I personally know one who quietly sacked, years ago. The funny thing is that you don't need to blackmail any girl just because you want sex. As nature would have it, the dull and brainless ones are the hottest - big ass, big boobs, curves, and everything. They are hopelessly unintelligent and empty - they don't even know whether London is a country or a capital, and they often gladly offer themselves to suck the fat old lecturer's dick just to pass. As a lecturer, you don't need to disturb the 'effiko' ones who are often plain and serious, they would put your career and your life in jeopardy. But many lecturers are drunk mediocres anyway, so they overdo without sense. |
Yankee101:That's why I laugh angrily when people ask how Boko Haram gets its weapons, tools, accessories, and supplies. 90% of it is provided by the gaddem Nigerian Government, obtained directly from the military. No strange financiers drop APCs and anti-aircraft guns from the sky. In a sense this whole thing is a grand Northern conspiracy. Especially with someone like Buhari in the saddle. That's why they had to get rid of Jonathan. Jonathan would have deployed the full majesty and might of the Nigerian state to crush these abokki bastards in his second term, if he had won. Buhari and the other Northern patrons of Boko Haram knew this. |
ollah2:Use your brain too. The previous governments didn't deny the obvious; they didn't muzzle media reportage of the issues, attacks and casualties, and most importantly, they never claimed that Boko Haram had been "technically defeated". All of these are associated with this decadent and hapless Buhari government. And to think that this same Buhari government won the election based on a false promise of security. Do you have a brain? If yes, use it! |
Buffalowings3:Too funny, too unbelievable, but ultimately.... Too sad. |
Tonye Cole don big pass this kind levels na haba. Leave this kind thing for them E-Money and other wannabes |
The level of lawlessness and tyranny under Buhari is unprecedented in Nigeria's democratic history |
ishowdotgmail:Oily Afonja, is that all you have to say? |
mysteryman2014:Lol. I imagine she was too busy thinking a million stressful thoughts. What would my (four) children eat today, what will I tell my landlord, how would I repay the loan I obtained from Iya Bilikisu, where would I find money to pay my own Ajo contribution tomorrow, when will my useless husband get a job, etc etc etc. I know how Lagos works. That her yansh is useless to her, just like your hairy lower leg is to you as a man. She's dead to unenvisaged sensation, no thanks to perennial suffering, hustling and the accompanying stress. Many people move around absent minded due to stressful thoughts. You'd be shocked. |
Poverty na bastard. Man would be catching Konji, yet he can't afford to maintain friends with benefits, girlfriend, or even shaku shaku runs girls. Worst of all, he can't even afford kobo kobo brothel based Olosho. He probably can't even afford to get a private space to masturbate. The result is this desperate yansh rubbing expedition in public buses. He probably 'came' just by doing that. |
