Envious mofo. Have all his blood money confiscated and given to you, so that you'll shower praises on God for salvaging you from your spiritual bond with poverty, abi?

we should stop deceiving ourselves, that we can do anything right
Beyond managing the economy, we need to be recolonised in the fullest sense - politically AND economically. As painful as it is to admit, the fact remains that the back man - in congregations of his own type - has shown himself to be incapable of managing his affairs in such a way that facilitates meaningful and sustainable development. The best he does is to shine as an outlier in isolated examples. As a group, the story is too shameful to tell. Forget long talk, specious argument, and fine rhetoric; the facts stare us in the face. Save for few state-level outliers such as, arguably, Rwanda and Botswana, there is no WHOLLY black country in the world (including miserable places like Haiti and Jamaica that are even in the Americas) that is anywhere near the standard of living and development of the rest of the developed/developing world.

Without the White Man, South Africa - with its lazy and unintelligent black population - would be a miserable waste dump of pathetic and hopelessly poor idiots. Nigeria is a none issue, as we all know. Same story for the rest of black Africa.

I understand you bro and I really like Atiku and his ideas but with the experiment of Buhari who also sought for the office for like 4times... I don't think Nigerians will be convinced to vote for a man like that again... but truly NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.... just been politically realistic
Well, I know for sure that Atiku is not in the same category as Buhari. Atiku is far more prepared, more capable, more competent, and more suitable in every way imaginable than Buhari. In a nutshell, Atiku is a superior man to Buhari in any and every political leadership sense. This is beyond sentiment. Buhari is shamefully deficient in any form of leadership or management proficiency. A man that left the military in 1984 and retired to his village and cattle to lick his wounds for decades. No self development, no leadership interventions, no intellectual engagement for self or for country, no contribution to the socio-political and economic space... nothing, except a single-minded, vendetta-driven agenda to become president - couched within a now apparently false premise of integrity and anti-corruption. Clearly, his brain is even more gaunt than his skeletal physical frame.

The only narrative sold against Atiku to the public is that he is corrupt, but which member of the political class isn't? They all are, without exception.

Nonetheless, Atiku has expressed very clear and coherent ideas about what he can do and how he will do it. Even his personal businesses have been evidence of his mercurial acumen and management and leadership skills. Every business undertaking the man has ventured into has been a stupendous success.

Politically, we all know that he is liberal and 'de-tribalised', and is a proven mobiliser of men and resources. It is sad that a recurring decimal and member of the old establishment like Atiku should be in the reckoning for Nigeria's presidency at this time, and for sure there are thousands of better suited individuals than him. But if one were to choose from the present political class which seem poised to take power yet again, then Atiku is my best option among the lot, without any doubt...

If he manages to rebrand himself in the eyes of the masses, by shedding the lingering "corruption" toga and crafting a compelling new narrative, then I believe he will be quite sellable to the masses, who now know better than to trust any "anti corruption' deception.
PoliticsRe: 2019 Elections: Atiku In Negotiations With PDP by hedonistic:
OmoEpe:
Atiku,of all the presidential hopefuls, comes across as the most prepared, like or hate him he is very coherent in his vision and plans for the country. The only thing holding him back and making him unsellable has being his perceived desperation and unstable character. If paradventure he attempts to cross to the PDP for a presidential ticket,he is sure to lose disgracefully. His best bet remains staying in the APC and struggling for the ticket which is not impossible considering the health of PMB and the state of our economy
It's rather too early for Nigerians to trust the PDP with power considering the level of corruption experienced under GEJ , this is the only reason PMB seems to be getting away with so many faltering moves an Atiku under APC will likely get a more favourable consideration than under the PDP
This is my personal opinion of the Atiku adventure
Atiku wouldn't get anywhere close to the presidential nomination under the APC. His best bet is the PDP. Don't forget that a very small coterie of powerful hawks have constituted themselves into a cabal controlling the affairs of the presidency, and by extension the party (APC). As always, they would prefer to anoint a manipulable dark horse (who they believe they can control) than concede power to an independent, self-contained colossus like Atiku, who they simply can't come close to if he gets into office.

The reins of power within the core of the APC at this moment are far beyond Atiku's reach, and I don't see him getting the ticket.

If he is desperate enough for one last shot at the presidency, then he must retrace his roots in the PDP.

Well if you display affluence without commensurate legit income you must be a criminal. I think all societies accept that. The infamous Al-Capone was finally nailed for tax fraud when they couldn't make other charges stick. As they say in the FBI, 'follow the money'. It will lead to all sorts of interesting places and perhaps solve a lot of knotty crimes.
You contradicted your own assumption and logic.

Key word is legit income. This means that displaying affluence "without an identifiable means of income" (key word identifiable) is not a crime in itself, because unidentifiable is not tantamount to illegit, just as 'identifiable' does not necessarily mean legit. What would be a crime, hypothetically, is if the wealth you're displaying is from an illegit source.

And even if the entire world suspects that your wealth is illegit, it's not enough to arrive at the kind of conclusion you suggested - i.e. "if you display affluence without commensurate legit income you must be a criminal". That's an unfortunate and hasty assumption. Law enforcement must always take the pains and invest the time and resources to Investigate and establish that your money is illegit, before moving in on you. That's the hallmark of a society based on Rule of Law.

I like the example you gave, about Al Capone, which negates your earlier faulty assumption. Al Capone committed tons of crimes, including murder and money laundering. But in the end, the Feds could only go against him on charges of tax evasion. Why? Was it that they didn't assume (read: know) that he committed those other more heinous crimes? No. It's because they simply couldn't muster enough evidence against him. That's exactly my point.
Christianity EtcRe: Why We Don’t Investigate Income Of Those Who Make Donations– Bishop Of Nnewi by hedonistic:
I don't understand all this stupid noise and claptrap about investigating people's wealth. We have numerous "prominent" idiots in the public space who don't need any investigation because we all know that their wealth was illegally or illicitly acquired. Yet we celebrate them. Who has asked questions about Bola Tinubu's wealth? Or about Folorunsho Alakija's Wealth? Or Theophilus Danjuma? Or even the guy who calls himself the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Fatai whatever, who is a mere career policeman, but yet is wealthy enough to finance his daughter's education in the United States and then sponsor her wedding in the same country - ferrying loads of guests abroad (all expense paid) for the jamboree... A civil servant that earns a pittance as salary!

Who has "investigated" the wealth of these kinds of characters? Nobody! Because someone has a prestigious sounding occupation, the daft Nigerian society assumes that he or she must be legit, even if his lawful earnings fall far short of his lifestyle. Oh, he is a retired police commissioner, so that's why he owns a three star star hotel and is a very wealthy man. Oh, he is a former permanent secretary, so don't wonder how come he is a billionaire. Oh he is a banker, worked in this or that so-called establishment, so he is/was "gainfully employed" enough to own assets in multi millions and billions. On salary, allowances and entitlements of how much exactly? Who has asked questions about the disparity between occupational income and wealth for these kinds of characters?

Yet you have the audacity to question the income of totally self-declared, self-employed, and self-made entrepreneurs who refuse to be held down by Nigerian society's artificial shackles constructed to ensure mass immiseration, and are making a way for themselves, all by themselves - without ever having been arrested for a felony.

The hypocrisy in Nigeria stinks to high heavens.

No, it's because their source of wealth could not be ascertained. It's not a crime to be wealthy but it becomes a crime when your source of wealth become dubious.
Why not prove that one's source of wealth is dubious first before arriving at premature conclusions based only on empty suspicions and assumptions?

The Law does not make it a crime for you to be wealthy without the source of your wealth being known to busybodies. The Law males it a crime for you to acquire wealth from ILLEGAL means.

It is the job of the police and other law enforcement agencies to investigate the illegality of one's wealth before rushing to the media to talk nonsense. Unless and until their investigation establishes that a person's wealth accrued from his or her involvement in a specific criminal activity then there is no case, simple.

Besides our concern in the instant case is not anyone's source of wealth. The issue at hand is the very serious matter of homicide. Cold blooded mass murder. This statement by the police has to go down as the most useless statement ever released by any country's law enforcement. Why tell us rubbish stories about anyone's source of wealth, rather than tell us about the murder and about the evidence linking any suspect to it?
CrimeRe: Ozubulu Catholic Church Killing: 3 High-Profile Suspects In Police Net by hedonistic: 12:38pm On Aug 13, 2017
This police spokesman must be brainless. From the very stupid statement, the only thing 'linking' the so-called suspects to the crime is that they wealthy but have no "identifiable means of income".

Since when did the law make it a crime for anyone to not to have an identifiable means of income? Which specific law stipulates such and how do you define "identifiable"?

Besides, what's the direct or indirect connection between being wealthy without an identifiable means of income and the Ozubulu church killings?

Indeed. Every normal playboy has wasted money and time on stupid bitches that turned out not worth the effort. That's part of the game, and cannot be avoided.

The key is to work within a budget, and know when to stop if you're not making headway. That's what separates the experienced smooth operators and hardies from the starry eyed mumu men who don't know how to play the game.

Depending on certain circumstances, my general rule is to have a 'feel' of her after two dates at most. Doesn't necessarily mean outright sex (though that happens within two dates sometimes),. Could be kissing, squeezing, intimate touching, 'seeing' the goods in flesh, etc. If it doesn't happen by the third date cos the girl is resisting or forming nonsense, then the respectable thing is to back down and save your time and resources for someone else. Even if all goes according to plan, always make sure you don't spend more than you can afford to lose anyway (on intangibles such as drinks and chops during outings, and a few thousands for token cab money). Never accede to her request for any lump money, gifts or anything tangible until you complete the mission according to the target you set.

So I couldn't help but notice your arguments and just wanted to chip this in to make aware the unsuspecting general public that patronize these Platforms (Uber/Taxify).
It would seem there is a way these drivers hijack the GPS/Navigation system of the Apps using a third party app (Lockito) hereby resulting to outrageous fare rates. Drivers that practice this dastardly act usually hide their phones from unsuspecting riders during the trip, so it's in your best interest to be observant of the app they run during trips........... My 2 cents.
PS: No ignorant driver should quote me please.
This is also very true. Thanks for exposing the name of the app these crooked drivers use. I've experienced this once, on my very first trip with Taxify. Imagine a trip from Yaba to Maryland, on a Sunday evening when traffic was super light, costing N4, 900+! And the estimate I saw before I requested the trip was between N750 and N1050. Of course I refused to pay the rubbish fee as I suspected foul play. Handed over N1k to the driver and then reported his ass to taxify. I was later told by taxify that the crook used an 'unauthorised phone' and has been penalised., and my backlog of fake debt cleared accordingly.

So now we all know the name of the app (and perhaps similar ones that work same way): Lockito. Uber and Taxify must do something about this ASAP.

TravelRe: 4 Ways Uber And Taxify Are Cheating Nigerians by hedonistic: 9:56pm On Aug 11, 2017
Nothing good lasts in Nigeria. Very soon, and I mean, very very soon, Nigerians would spoil this lovely ride sharing concept with their obnoxious attitude, especially the drivers.

Recently in the same Lagos, I requested an Uber (in a very busy 'high brow' high street) that showed 4 minutes away on the uber interface. I monitored the movement and saw that it was approaching, and then 1 minute away.... 1 minute turned to 20 minutes and yet I didn't receive his call or saw "driver has arrived".. Only to call him and notice that his number was switched off. Next thing, the idiot cancelled and I was charged N1k! I called his number endlessly but couldn't reach him and yet couldn't request another Uber because I just could not pay an additional unjust N1k for any reason, even if I had a billion naira in cash.

After firing a couple of emails to uber they cancelled the N1k penalty. My subsequent uber ride in the same Lagos opened my eyes to this new scam, as the driver told me that it's their way of getting back at uber for the supposedly low fares.

But why should the drivers be so disgruntled and then take it out on riders? Nigerians are a sick bunch, really. Dem no force anybody work. If you don't like the terms, you quit! You can't stay in the job and make other people's lives miserable with your dirty attitude.

Sometimes you’ll be feeling cool that you just requested a cab through your phone expecting a fully air conditioned and stress free ride. Instead, some cars will just arrive with terrible shock absorbers, fuel smell inside the car or AC not working. Has anyone experienced this? Tell us your experience.

If you haven't experienced it why bring it up? You just want to say something right? Please if you know you are jobless go look for a car register with Uber or taxify and start working instead of discrediting them.
Uber abi taxify mouthpiece, easy.

I've requested Uber in Lagos, few weeks ago, only for a Toyota Camry 'Tiny Light' to show up feeling cool. And I thought their benchmark was 2006 model cars upwards. Didn't have any problem with that because I only needed transportation at the time, but it was a let down, standards wise.
