Street wisdom and good old common sense makes all the difference when you live in societies like Nigeria. As much as I detest the unprofessional conduct of these military goons, it's often easy to deal with them if you know how to talk and behave in tricky situations. |
This one wey una dey discourage masturbation, dey discourage pre-marital sex too, how do you want unmarried young boys and girls to deal with the inevitable problem of konji? |
egift:You are funny. You think Nigeria under Buhari would slide back to the dark days of totalitarian dictatorship in which one man would arrogate to himself the powers and functions of the executive legislature, and judiciary? How will Buhari unilaterally effect amendments to the Penal Code, the EFCC Act, and ICPC Act? How will he unilaterally set up special courts for corruption cases? How will he unilaterally establish State Police or pass a Whistle Blower Act into Law? Do you realise that these things rest mainly in the domains of the legislature and judiciary, and some of them even require an amendment to the constitution, which means that a 2/3 majority of the state assemblies nationwide would also be required in addition to the National Assembly? Do you realise how corrupt and entangled in vested interests most members of the National Assembly, state assemblies, and judiciary are? The landmark PIB has been lying fallow at the National Assembly years after it was sent there by President Jonathan because of legislators' vested interests and inducement by the IOCs. What would Buhari do to force their hand? Jail all of them? How? Look, the earlier you understand the dynamic, complicated and deeply entrenched nature of corruption in Nigeria, the better. No one man can stop or even reduce corruption in Nigeria today, using this worn out strong-arm 'gra gra' approach. At best, Buhari will purport to lead by example - by being personally incorruptible (like Shagari ostensibly was). That would not stop his ministers and aides, heads of MDAs, senators, governors, judges, and all categories of public officers at federal and state levels from continuing the merry go round business as usual of corruption. At worst a few unlucky scapegoats would be prosecuted, and they would use their billions to secure bail and delay the court trial endlessly until the case dies a natural death (as usual), while others will continue stealing. Nothing has changed. The only way to reduce this menace is to institute strong systems and mechanisms to block corruption loopholes and wastages; and that is exactly what President Jonathan is doing! |
Adufetohposh:Sharaaap there, with your mouth like parrot. What exactly do you mean by "Jonathan", and what does that have to do with the issue at hand? |
How much are you gonna charge Wizkid for a night? Patapata N100k or less. Girls that are much more beautiful and endowed than her even charge far less than that in this Lagos, so what's she talking about "afford"? |
$130k a day? My goodness. |
Anywhere belle face, that's what you call this kind of political ideology. |
It's a herculean task for most girls, hence the song "no romance without finance". It's easier with older chicks though (30+). But young girls? Very very hard. If you are very good at the game, the best you can achieve is to make them love you for a short while. After some time, their eyes would open. |
Jagabandit is solely responsible for his death, everyone knows that. Funsho Williams would have certainly won the election if Jagabandit had not eliminated him, and therefore his current political empire would have been non-existent. His marabouts and juju men had prophesied that he would build a massive political empire in the South West and that only one man (Funsho Williams) stood in the way of that 'bright future'. If he wasn't eliminated, Jagabandit's political fiefdom would not have taken root. |
So this boy-boy slave who can't look his master Tinubu in the eyes now has the liver to talk anyhow about our president? These fools would be severely dealt with in the fullness of time. Let them continue running their mouths. |
coldFLARES1:Some of you are incredibly daft. What is the basis for comparing the unfortunate at a political rally in Okrika with the unwarranted attack by APC supporters on a PRIVATE BUSINESS? What is Chisco's business with the APC procession or whatever? Money wasted on your 'education' can never be recovered, and that is a tragedy to whoever had the misfortune of financing your (mis)education. |
datribune:Look at this fool throwing cheap words about - "clueless", "educate yourself", blah blah blah. You should locate a mirror and chant these words at whatever image you see there because they define you. So because Jerry Rawlings executed former government officials in Ghana under the guise of fighting corruption, that makes it right to resort to arbitrary and capricious dispensation of justice - based on the whims of one power drunk man? You must be really really stoooopid. Using an instance of barbarism and illegality (in Ghana) as precedence/justification for Buhari's despotism just shows how demented you are. Do you know what the Rule of Law means? Do you know what Fair Hearing means? So if, in your self-righteous and power-drunk stupor, you suspect that certain people are thieves, you simply order their arrest, imprisonment, and execution - all by yourself. Clap for yourself! And don't bother to quote me again, because I would not deign you another reply. I don't suffer fools gladly. |
Adminisher:Anti-corruption tribunals whose verdicts were entirely handed down by the despotic, all-powerful dictator called Buhari - who was both the accuser and the judge. Is that justice? Which properly constituted and constitutional court of law found these people guilty of the malpractices you so freely allege here? Look, you people have to decide whether you want a civilised society based on the Rule of Law (which encompasses the right to fair hearing and lawful judicial processes) or you prefer a return to the dark days of despotism and suppression of human rights by crazed, power-drunk tyrants like Buhari and Abacha. . |
abbsilurd:So you now arrogate to yourself the final authority to determine what is "factual" and what isn't? The word "factual" is entirely subjective these days, as what you consider a "fact" can be based entirely on your beliefs, prejudices, and persuasions as opposed to reality. There is nothing factual about Amaechi's empty effusions. The brash and power-drunk misfit is no match for FFK anytime, anyday. |
All these small boys and girls here are funny. Apart from the "I love you" and the "I want to marry you" clowns - and also the mugus who use a new girl's picture as dp, I don't see anything wrong with the other things mentioned here. Mature guys who know what they want and want to get down to business quickly would ask to see you as soon as possible and would also firmly request for your number to have mature conversations (all these pinging and chatting stuff gets quite childish and annoying sometimes). No serious guy who already has his hands full with numerous options of girls all around would waste his time beating about the bush with one bbm girl in the name of following childish rules of dos and don'ts. There are no rules in this game, you do what you want to do or say what you want to say, and you both either reach an understanding or you don't. No time. Some guys meet a girl today and bulldoze their way into her pant the same day, while other nice guys would take months or even years to pamper the same girl and follow "rules" without even touching her arm. Boys need to grow up. |
I would be very impressed if they capture Shekau alive. |
GBTYO:Exactly. He cuts the image of a dutiful butler.... Which is what he actually is.... To his master Tinubu, of course. |
Of course the North would never allow that to happen. Apart from the sheer unacceptability of his candidacy/presidency to the North, from a broader perspective there is nothing presidential about this gaunt looking midget with annoying pastoral gesticulations and zero charisma. Let him go back to his pastoral duties in his obscure RCCG parish and quit this presidential pretensions. |
For a woman of her age range, she is very gorgeous and sexy. For a president, I consider her breathtaking. Just look at her lovely body, eyes, facial structure and womanly grace I'm in love. |
CaptainOjemba:And I heard he is also the biggest shop owner/landlord in Onitsha Main Market and Lagos Trade Fair complex, with hundreds of prime shops and plazas. Emma Bishop is a financial colossus. Big money heavyweight. |
The buffoons mentioning Jonathan here must be either unable to read or downright mischievous. The report clearly states that all records stated therein are based on 2005/2006 info which was when the HSBC data was stolen. Who was the president then? By the way, this report is pure gossip. Apart from David Mark's wife and one or two others, the rest are wealthy businessmen whose wealth isn't surprising to anyone (although I am a bit surprised to learn that Chief Bode Akindele has/had up to $23m in one bank account!). |
Plumpy and alright are in the dictionary. Don't do oversabi. |
Lolz at spiritual hygiene. Wetin man pickin no go hear. |
You would have to be extremely fickle and gullible to change your opinions based on the effusions of a glib speaker. Don't forget that Osibanjo is a pentecostal pastor, and many of them make a living out of being glib. His hand movements, body gestures and practiced facial expressions - all point towards the pure fakery associated with charlatans, which a trained eye can easily recognise. That's how they enthrall their gullible audiences and use ornamental language to entrap unsuspecting people like you into a state of hare-brained credulity. Even the likes of Oshiomole had many people fooled (not me) by his oratory and seeming sincerity in the build up to his woeful governorship. Now we know that there are massive differences between words, intent, and action. |
The apprehension is valid if you ask me. The card readers are electronic devices, and knowing how hopelessly corrupt many Nigerians are, I am sure that Jega and the other top shots in INEC must have awarded the contracts to a company that would produce substandard devices in order to free up more billions for all of them to misappropriate. If this suspicion is true, then there is a very high chance that many of the card readers may malfunction when put to the test on election day (and don't forget that thousands of the card readers will be deployed nationwide). As such, does INEC have a Plan B in case the devices malfunction on election day? We need to know this. You can't place all your hope on some substandard devices without having a backup plan. |
snowdrops:Classlessness is in this man's DNA. No wonder the president described him as a "motor park tout". Very apt. |
And the shameless old fool has the audacity to accuse the current government of corruption. Nothing offends one's sensibilities more than unconcealed and unapologetic hypocrisy. |
Agents of neocolonialism. Who takes their jaundiced and condescending views seriously? Arrant nonsense. |
Following... |
The nitwit that composed this list deserves to be shot. I've never read anything so ridiculous in my entire life. P Square is worth N25b? Where is the gaddem e-strangle button? |
Nigerian soldiers are the most undisciplined, unprofessional, and cowardly in the world. I have noticed how they cannot fight one on one (if need be). Whenever any of them wants to show his so-called 'power', they always run to call for reinforcement - and then they will pack themselves like a bunch of thugs to come and display their foolishness en masse. Even if you want to prove that you are a soldier, why not fight alone one on one like a man and beat the other guy if you can? Why do they always run away to call for reinforcement over petty issues? Useless cowards. Most of them are just cowardly fools whose only strength lies in the fact that they are legally allowed to carry guns. Without their guns, they are worthless and cannot defeat the average man on the street in a fiist fight. |
Ironically, more politically motivated assassinations were recorded during OBJ's administration than at any other time in Nigeria's history..... With countless high profile victims (including OBJ's own serving minister Bola Ige, Marshall Harry, Funsho Williams, etc. etc.). How many of such high profile assassinations have happened under Jonathan? Now tell me more about so-called snipers. Bloody fool. |
