Did Fayose awknowledge the impeachment or not? Why would a sitting governor present budget to a group of 7 lawmakers that cannot even form a quorum apart from the fact that they need 16 to pass the budget? Is the governor that daft or what? It is my view that only citizens and especially stakeholders of the state can call this governor to order which they seem to have failed by supporting him in his impunity streak.

Let me break it down to you. Passing the budget or commissioners is the perogative duty of house members and no other as long as it is supported 2thirds majority. Thats the law. On the other side, a governor is clearly wrong and inspiring impunity if he admits impeachment by 7 of 26 members and presenting budget and commissioners list to the 7. By law, those commissioners are not appointed while the government is running without budget as long as it was not passed by 2thirds of 26 members.

Anything outside this basic law is impunity as inspired by Fayose and supported by PDP and and some ekiti ppl.

Ok. So fayose should rather collapse the Govt or go to tinubu house to present the budget to the almighty 16 ? Passing the budget is not a prerogative. It is a duty. They are not doing fayose a favour. They are carrying out their duties. If they have anything incriminating against any of the nominees, they will clearly state it and ask him to replace such. They can't just refuse to screen all the nominees. That is impunity. They can't choose who will work for fayose. They only ensure whoever is chosen is not indicted as a criminal thereabout. Sir, PDP also have the right to go the tribunal if they choose to do so. Going to the tribunal don't make anyone a bad loser. There were irregularities and rigging in Rivers and Akwa Ibom and I believe any sane Judge will cancel the election in those states.

Also just because you are a governor and have immunities don't give Fayose or any governor the right to slap a tribunal judge for doing his job. Anyway I don't see Fayose surviving as a governor by May 29th when Buhari takes over so we don't have to worry about him slapping a judge again

my brother PDP won't go to court and I respect them for that. It might interest you to know that buhari lost a record 4 times, till date he never accepted defeat in any if those election. The only time he didn't go to court was not because he accepted defeat but because he felt his brother, a northerner in the person of yardua won. Even at that his party still contested the election. Jonathan conducted several governorship election and lost, he congratulated the winner. The only one he won is ekiti and despite losing heavily at the tribunal, apc are still bent on usurping the will of ekiti. the greatest problem we have with security in this country is not boko haram...it is our elite and jonathan has allowed them to operate unhindered thereby emboldening others including boko haram to gain more confidence. you are the president for christ sake and somebody said he will make the country ungovernable and you kept quiet. that is a treasonable statement. send the security agencies after him and get him arrested. opposition will make noise...but you wont be less popular than you are today but you would have made a statement....I WONT ALLOW ANYBODY TO MAKE UNGUARDED STATEMENTS THAT WILL BREACH SECURITY IN MY TIME AND SOON PEOPLE WILL ADJUST. that is not to say there must be no freedom of speech...but freedom of speech is different from freedom to use your speech to cause violence. amaechi said he will form parallel govt, buhari said boko haram were freedom fighters...why were this people not questioned at that time? jonathan is afraid of opposition and such a president cant be effective. if you work they talk, if you dont work, they will talk. why not work and let them talk.

CORRUPTION
the fight against corruption simmer down since the days of RIBADU for obvious reasons....corruption was being fought by ribadu not be efcc. Ribadu was obasanjo boy and he used him well but that is what we are saying.....no individual can fight corruption but institutions. infact, we are not supposed to know the chairman of efcc like a pop star that ribadu was. everybody cant be like ribadu but every institution can be strengthened such that even if a dummy is heading it, work will still go on unhindered. so jonathan succeded in making the chairman of efcc less conspicous but at the same time made efcc useless. EFCC should be empowered with a financial court in every state with the same status as the high court for speedy determination of cases. so, what has the legislature done to empower the efcc and even take efcc completely outside the coNTROL of the executive. why dont we have efcc chairman in every state to decentralise its operations? EFCC should be empowered to send auditors to any ministry or parastatals to monitor their account even when theRE is no complaint against them. jonathan could have done all this but he failed and played into the hands of opposition by making the infamous statement....STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION.

so the bottomline is that APC has not shown enough conviction to rule NIGERIA for the sake of good governance but for the sake of their pocket and political survival.

Abstinence on its own is a form of voting. if you are not convinced about the options you have and you go ahead to vote out of compulsion, you are helping to instal a govt you may regret. your vote may be what is needed by the wrong candidate to win...if you keep it to yourself, you are still performing your civic responsibilities because you are indirectly denying the wrong candidate the chance of winning.

The whole campaign is built around one man .....BUHARI rather than around credible programme and policy. if you ask them how do you intend to fight corruption when tinubu, amaechi, el rufai(that was once banned by the senate from holding public office), atiku are the main financier of the party and none of them was a dangote before coming to power they kept saying they are not voting for them but only BuharI. so, should anything happen to Buhari(God forbid) then the whole programme of APC will automatically crumble. corruption is not fought by a single man but by institutioins. the fact that each time you criticise buhari, they say you are afraid of prison makes me think wether Apc guys believe once buhari emerges, he will run a CALIPHATE like SHEKAU where his word is law and can imprison opposition candiates anyhow. Moreso, why should i believe APC as a govt will fight corruption if they get to national level? i am yet to hear of any APC governor that petition the EFCC about any of their workers in their state not to talk of prosecuting anybody. does that mean all the commisiioners and perm sec in all APC states are saints? for eight years, fashola is yet to prosecute a single person in his state for corruption. same with all APC GOVERNORS, IS IT JONATHAN THAT WILL COME AND HELP FASHOLA TO FIGHT CORRUPTION IN LAGOS STATE? before you say there is no corruption in lagos, just yesterday, i went to pay the balance of my tax for 2014, the lowest cadre tax officials were telling me what i wanted to p[ay is too much . they want me to just give them like 20k and they will remove almost 50percent from the normal money i was suppossed to pay. corruption evrywhere.

Quinine is safe but it is not risk free. Did the doctor explain the risks? Once again in black people a significant number have G6PD .Did the doctor inquire about this? or a history of sickling?

the risk as in quinine causing abortion? Of course no drug is free including paracetamol. Paracetamol in high dosage can destroy the liver. Why are you so particular about G6PD deficiency? is it the relationship between quinine and G6pD or the relationship between pregnancy and quinine that matters? A sickler at that age will know her status and will most definitely inform you. Moreso, why is Sickling so important to you in this unconfirmed abortion. This pregnancy was not even confirmed. Tell me the alternative the doctor would have used to treat the malaria then I will know you understand what we are sayinh

I don't usually comment on a thread like this. The op made up his mind the doctor must be held responsible for the wife misfortune. First, the wife may not be pregnant afterall. The pregnancy was not properly diagnosed. Secondly, delayed menses, even when it happens for the ist time doesn't mean always mean pregnancy. Thirdly, quinine is safer than the coartem your wife took from the pharmacist during the ist trimester. Malaria itself, if not well treated or if not treated early can cause abortion. It is not everytime that a misfortune happens to a patient that the doctor is to blame. This doesn't mean I don't sympathise with you on the unfortunate loss. Several things can cause early abortion....chromosomal abnormalities, hormonal imbalance, maternal sickness, drug induced etc. it could be any of this but even if you will sue the doctor, not because of quinine....it is actually recommended by both WHO and federal ministry of health protocol for malaria treatment in all trimester of pregnancy.
