Demoliton in progress |
Our schedule of work is in phases. The first phase involve demolition of walls and breaking of all the lintels, creation of new walls, doors and windows, introduction of pillars and finally returning the structure back to lintel level |
You may want to ask...why do it yourself? Why not contract it out to brabus since we are both in lagos? Firstly, finance. I am a young man in my early 30's who started d hospital less than 3yrs ago. That i can get 10million to buy a ppty within that short period of running d business which i started with a loan of 800k late 2010 shows God's grace and my prudence. So i want to carry that prudence to building without jeopardising safety and quality. Secondly i dont av too much moni left in my accnt so i want to be building from daily sales and i av a mmaximum 6mnth cos my landlord has given me a quit notice already. So even if i want i dnt av moni to contract it out |

I bought the property with ten million naira net. It is an old structure built in the 90s. The building plan was a four flat but funny enough it has no columns despite the fact that they have placed two couch on d lintel awaiting decking. I must confess the blocks were so strong and i learnt that in the 80's, once they use strong blocks they wont put columns and still deck. The lintels are so weak and trees were growing from the german floor causing a weakening of part of the walls |
I bought this uncompleted 2 three bedroom on a full plot of land. I am an amateur in building but ive learnt a lot from spyder, brabus and co. I want to do it myself with an experienced bricklayer. I will be bringing engineers at critical stages. I want to restructure it to a hospital with a two bed duplex in situ as the doctors residence. D purpose of this thread is to put what i learnt so far on this thread to practise and to update professionals in the house so that they can checkmate us when we make mistakes. It is also meant to teach other amateurs like myself how to do it yourself |
The beginning of demolition works |
Boy2boy: I wonder if akpabio trust those govs initially, would they have been asked to pen down their signatures before election?why are u people crying more than d bereaved. there was an election and majority of the people that voted queue up b4 somebody after d election dat this was d person they voted. if amaechi is now made d chairman will it not appear as if they are forcing him on d majority that came out openly to stand behind jang. in democracy, it is not enough to do justice, u must make sure people see that justice is done. assuming no 18 gov openly stand behind jang after election, of course d secret ballot will be our only means of judging but now... |
SlyIg: When it comes to politics, you don't judge that way. Don't you kw that a governor that refused to vote for Jang may still queue up to celebrate his victory?the point is this: some govenors supposedly voted for amaechi but they are not man enough to defend their vote but rather chose to queue up behind jang. What does that tell u? The election is not free and fair. Any vote that cant be defended is not worth casting in the first place so we can say that the govermors didnt vote freely cos amaechi decided to intimidate them by presiding ova his own election |
Toktee: You don d allow your hatred for ameachi play out,who is the chairman river state chapter, how many followers does hw have,or are you telling us that the is authourised by bamaga tukur to announced the winner of the election, unlike you, i dont allow my hatred for somebody to becloud my sense of judgement. let us assume amaechi won, why would those 18 quickly queue up behind jang and declared him the chairman assuming they voted secretly for amaechi. When the house of rep voted for tambuwal against d wish of the presidency, why did they not queue behind akande d following just because they are scared of d presidency. the greatest flaw in this election is that amaechi presided over his own election so even if it is free and fair, it is not seeing to be free and fair |
something must be wrong with d election somwhere. amaechi is too desperate to win NGF in order to keep the flame of his 2015:ambition burning and the election was conducted under his nose. Who says amaechi cant rig the election? with d torrent of opposition against his claim to his winning d election even from his primary constituency, the guy might have learnt something from tinubu on how to outrig the federal power in a local election |
In what may be termed as the deepest cut of all, the Rivers State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang, in his victory as the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) Chairman. The state chapter declared that they recognize Jang and not Rotimi Amaechi, the Rivers State Governor, as the authentic NGF Chairman. In a statement by the state PDP's Publicty Secretary, Mr. Nwanosike Samuel, the PDP said “Amaechi did not win, Amaechi is an Agent of destruction working against the agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan’s Transformation Agenda and beside election was not concluded he went outside to address Press, that is a criminal act, Amaechi cannot come out and say he is the Chairman, the right Chairman is Jonah Jang, the authentic Chairman is Jonah Jang”. Speaking further Mr. Nwanosike said “I don’t understand where Amaechi and his cohorts got the result they announced from, infact when I listened to 9oclock NTA news yesterday I saw it play out clearly, the position of NGF led by Jonah Jang, it is obvious that the 19 Governors signed declaring Jonah Jang as their leader so I don’t understand where that. Result came from, that goes to show what we have been suffering Rivers State and also goes to show the impunity ”. Already, Mr. Jang has held an inaugural meeting of the NGF under |

By this rule, seun has ridiculed islam. Islam can't sell his website, it will only bring a fatwa on his head cos of the murderous instinct of the so called religion of peace but just say that oyedepo is a thief and christ slept wit mardgalene, it will make front page. This has further confirmed my fear that if u add islam to anything including a websit, u get evrythin but peace. I think I just broke rule 17. |
forex on the first page? pls, if u ever love urself, dont ever go in2 it. it is fraud perpetuated by brokers. these brokers dont ever allow ur moni to get to the market. they hope that instead of u losing to the market it is bettet u lose all the moni to them. imagine ur broker trading against u on their platform. u can never make profit with retail forex. dont tell me about a single trade. tell us just one succesful individual in nigeria that we know whose main source of income is forex...i tell u none! The people that are deceiving u are those teachers of forex. they make their money solely from teaching forex. they dont ever trade themselves cos they know its fraud. all the teachers of forex that were so popular 5yrs ago wen forex was reigning all ran away after losing millions of people's fund to forex. 4get all those stories about technical and fundamental indicators. they are all fraud. i lost millions to forex and i kept believing it was my fault. the weapon they use is that GREED is what is killing you. na lie! many times, if u exit a losing trade u will suddenly realise that had u stayed in that trade u would have made millions. nxt time u give it a try u will run in2 so much loss and it is never easy to claim a loss so the natural thing 2 do is to keep hoping the market will return. the truth is that they are playing with ur emotion by manipulating their trading platform. it is not greed or lack of education that makes u to lose in forex but fraud. what education do u need to trade baba ijebu? forex is same. baba ijebu too will tell u some numbers are sure but na lie. same with forex. i made moni from who wants to be a millionaire and wasted it on forex within a week. i collected part of my mum's pension and wasted it on forex. the day i was delivered was the day God told me to go and sell my laptop at computer village cos forex is addictive even if u lose moni u still assume its ur fault. since i sold my laptop i had no access to d market, faced my job and with hardwork, i am where i am today. a word is enough for the wise |
this is a form of advert now. remove the name of the hospital from the thread |
