Now that the thing don happen for malawi, will skeptics that doubts this guy's prediction now shut up. This guy is good. Spot on and none like him in nigeria. That doesn't mean he is a man of God or otherwise but give it to him, when he talks, it happens |
Anybody can replace madam iweala as finance minister but not everybody has her kind of qualification that is needed for world bank presidency. So leaving her post as a finance minister is not unpatriotic cos anybody including soludo can occupy that seat but who will command so much respect at the world stage for world bank presidency? Bellfun: |
http://omojuolusola./ I have read a lot of comments, both local and international about the candidacy of NOI for the exalted post of world bank presidency and I can’t but confess that my heart bleeds each time I read what nigerians have to say about their own. Let me start by saying that I was a major champion of anti subsidy removal protest in my local community to the extent of organising a street protest in my immediate community. And to say that mrs iweala was wrong by robbing poor nigerians to satisfy the greedy apetite of a few ruling elite is to say my mind. Let us now assume that mrs iweala is playing the cards placed on her table by the american led imperialist to bleed poor nigerians dry by imposing a world bank inspired subsidy removal, has it ever occurred to Nigerians that she probably had to do this because some countries led by UNITED STATES have such a strong hold on such institutions that it is almost impossible to go against their wish? Now the world has the very first opportunity to start loseening the grips of americans and europeans on bretton woods institutions and we are lucky enough that the first candidate that the world feels can do that for us is a NIGERIAN yet the reactions from most nigerians to this ordinarily wonderful news has been pathetic so far. Okay! Let us agree that this woman has her faults. She championed fuel subsidy removal. she paid off our debts with money we should have used for developments but whoever told nigerians that only saints occupy the exalted position of world bank presidency? The only qualification so far for becoming a world bank president is american citizenship. Wether you are a demon or saint is secondary. An american was forced to quit the position because of corruption and another american took over from him. A french was forced to quit IMF because of sexual misconduct and another french took over from him. So, it is not about who you are, it is about where you are coming from. In order words, we are rated as second class citizens who have no say in our own affairs and this should be the first bone of contention. The same america that assumed a self imposed role as democracy watchdog worldwide routinely imposes her citizens over the global bank in a most undemocratic way and we can’t do nothing about it. It is a slap on all of us that america nominates an obscure candidate, far less qualified than even mrs ekwesili not to talk of NOI just because the person is an AMERICAN and yet most nigerians still don’t see any reason to support our own NOI if only to break american stronghold first before other things. Our slave mentality will easily make us accept an obsure american in place of a renowned nigerian. We will always suffer in the hands of bretton woods institutions not because people like NOI will always dance to their tune but because we can’t even recognise the source of our problem with theses institutions which is the fact that they are wholly controlled by western imperialist and until we break their hold on them, subsidy will always be removed, SAP will always be enforced. Who they use is secondary. It may be babangida or obasanjo or jonathan or NOI but they will do it. Can’t we recognise the opportunity the developing world has now through NOI to break away from the shackles of these slave drivers? We have read glowing tributes paid by the economist, financial times, new york times about the candidacy of this woman yet not a single nigerian newspaper is pushing her candidacy the way we ought to. Let us be patriotic for once. Support our canditate for this position just because you are a nigerian. That is the only reason why americans are supporting their candidate anyway. Not because he is smart or experienced or above corruption but simply because he is american. That is what we call patriotism. A world bank led by NOI may be hard on us but it can never be harder than a world bank led by an american. Time to break imperialism is now |

What is wrong with this Djustice and bluetooth. I bet it they are both extremely poor guys who happened to have visited transcorp may once or twice courtesy of a friend or maybe on excursion. It is people that don't know how to work for money that usually talk rubbish about money. The RIGHT QUESTION WE SHOULD BE ASKING IS tHIS; is the bill a one time event or a regular stuff? If the DG decides to show off to his chinese friends she has efisi, we may pardon her but from what we hear, this is regular thing throughout her 8mnth stay at TRANSCORP. So if she is always hosting at least 6people on a daily basis at 90K per meal for 8mnth...HABA!What is wrong with this Djustice and bluetooth. South african president that was not afraid of sleeping with an HIV infested prostitute without condom is now afraid of fake yellow fever card and some bigots still believe they are not just trying to disgrace nigerians for no reason. FG should nationalise both DSTV and MTN self after deporting all the SA workers there |
Why are nigerians so negative? Every sensible nigerian should support the FG in this diplomatic row with SA. Even if FG can deport both DSTV and MTN, I am in full support. It is obvious SA is doing this for petty reason. Ask yourself this question; if yellow fever card is that important and is fake, why is it that USA, UK and co has not been deporting nigerians because of that? So it now takes an HIV infested south africans to now know they are in danger of yellow fever cos of fake cards from nigeria. How much is yellow fever immunization for example? Free in any local health centre across and I even give it in my hospital readily available from local immunization office that supplies us. When was the last time I saw yellow fever in clinical practise? They just want to spat on us. Simple. Nigherians are not disgraced abroad just because of corruption but we had been too soft. So what is so special that nigeria got too lose from the diplomatic? Nothing. They are the ones with heavy investment in nigeria. All we need to do is to start imposing 80percent tax regime on MTN and DSTV and only 5percent for indigenous network and see the ripple effect. SA is doing this for petty reason and if we don't respond now, they will soon start deporting nigerians for not taking their bath before boarding a flight |
rimms:keep shut for once! |
And if you have ever worked with indians before you will know that they are the greatest slave drivers in the history of mankind. They are so mean and manipulative. So, if mike adenuga is doing that to a so called mohammed I don't think he should complain one bit. Indians only employ nigerians as factory workers and never in a top management management position so I don't care about ur mohammed one bit |
In my entire life, I have never seen a succesful man that is well loved by his staff unless he is allowing them to ruin him. If you guys have such a brilliant idea that adenuga disagrees with why can't you go and start your own and let's see how succesful you will be. Instead of focusing on his bad sides, why can't you look for that quality that made this man what he is today. The man must be gettinng something right for him to own globacom ETB Conoil and you are here saying thrash about niceties. You can't be truly succesful if you want the whole world to love you. Quote me. Nice people are rarely succesful anyway. A brother of mine worked with jimoh ibrahim and he said the same thing. I used to work under a very succesful boss and every staff used to complain about him yet many of them had been in the company for more than ten years yet they didn't leave. I told myself that it is better to be abused like this man and yet be highly succesful than to be the one that will hide under anonymous forum and be abusing. I studied him and I am bold to say the man is my mentor. Within two years of starting my own, my business is more succesful than its age and I suddenly discovered that if this man didn't do what he was doing people will run down his business. @OP. Why were you not working for mike adenuga when he was cabman? Now that he is succesful you want him to change the attitude that brought him to where he is today. Of course he won't change and your opinion may matter but his decision is final. Please leave this man alone. Even succesful pastors are daily abused if you go to religious session, you will think oyedepo is a devil's incarnate but success attracts both hatred and love. Too bad you chose to hate the man that give you a platform to progress in ur career. Goodluck. |
Guys, spend your time to do something worthwhile. Betonmarket and even forex is for losers. 90percent of these guys sselling products to u dont ever make their money from forex but from the products. You can never have a real breakthru with betonmkt or forex. Most people that made it in forex and beton made it thru training of innocent people and products. I was an active trader for years, learnt more than those people making noise here, met with virtually all the most succesful traders we have in the country at the time but later discovered they are all fraud. I used to know one trader I tut was very sucesful until I discovered he was doing a ponzi scheme, collect moni from people promising them great returns and use the moeney of new entrant to pay old ones and they all assumed he was makig moni for them until he got a UK visa and ran away. I know marketers will attack me on this but I don't care, I am more than sure you are on the road to financial doom if you continue the path of these useless markert. I won big money on who wants to be a millionaire and invested everything on forex and beton and lost woefully. I had to sell my laptop to force myself never to trade again and that was the beginning of my breakthru cos I am a professional, all the money I made in my profession I innvested on forex and beton education and trading. Today. I am a millionaire and very very succesful but every time I remember what I passed thru in the hands of forex, beton and its marketers and especially brokers, I look back and give glory to God. I don't pray my enemy will go into that fraud. Believe me for your own good, don't believe me for your own good too. Time will tell. |
@everybody. This should be a lesson for all of us. Medicine is not learnt by correspondence on the internet or even by textbook. That is why you can even do law via part time programme but never medicine. If you read something on the net, crosscheck with the doctor. What she is having is a retained product of conception. She risk developing adhesions and subsequently asherman's syndrome if not evacuated. The pregnancy may be more than the 4wk u calculated. You don't terminate a pregnancy medically if it is more than 49days so u rather do a manual sunctioning. Or evacuation. But overall, unless you are careless, this is a minor case. Take her a good clinic around, get her evacuated and covered with broad spectrum antibiotics. This is not the time to come to a general forum and start reading opinion of laymen like yourself. Best of luck. |
presfedrep:its better you keep quiet if you don't have something reasonable to contribute. Even a 500level medical student will handle this minor stuff. @OP, she nids to be evacuated. Simple! Walk in2 any good clinic around, narrate the story to a doctor and u get her evacuated and that's all. |
Meanwhile, the President of COCIN, Rev. Soja Bewarang, has described the police statement as “absolutely untrue”, adding that it was “impossible” for any branch to have a dispute without his knowledge or that of the church headquarters. Bewarang said the story was created to cause confusion about the current situation. |
Ikengawo:you are suffering from both dementia; that's even too nice a word to descibe ur brainless skull. So full of rubbish and hatred |
2good:. Are u for real? You are definately suffering from some kind of delusion. I guess u expected us to give u a standing ovation simply because u stopped praying in the midst of religious madness. So how many laurels and medals have you received since u stopped praying and did anyone complain about your absence from church. If you are for real and u don't belive in God why are u always on religious section where the aim is to discuss God anyway? U know ur problem? U are lost and you are obviously trying to find a way. You complain about everybody talking about religion but it is ur fault. Go to romance and sports section or better still travel section and u will be surprised at how few discussions on God will be. So if u are hypocritical enuf to believe there is no God and you still frequent religion section instead of spending your time on something worthwhile then u are absolutely insecured. Ask yourself. What happened that 18yrs ago that made you stop going to church? Is it because u discovered a new theory in physics that nobody had ever seen or what? You probably had no genuine reason other than your inability to properly reason that if truly there is NO God, there is no YOU. You are as unreal as the God u deny. Anyway, I think mutallab started like you. You are confused but seriously saerching for the truth. I pray you will not stand up one day and say enuf is enuf and decide to blow up nairaland and the church in order to prove there is no GOD |
2good: |
dare2think: dare2think:thanks for being civil in ur argument. I don't subscribe to people insulting themselves really but it was obvious the only language that guy understands is insult that was why I gave it back to him. Dare2think, I seriously dare you to think about this matter. When God told abraham he would beget a child, do u actually think that the prophecy was real after about 50yrs wtout fulfilment. If u had lived at that time u probably would have gone to a forum too to say the prophecy was not real. When jeremiah prophesied the downfall of babylon, do u think the people believed him when babylon still survived centuries after that. As a xtian, I don't expect you to behave like a suckling babe who only believe in instant gratification. So, if you disconnect a freezer from the power source, will you be naïve enuf to assume that it will be instantly hot.No. It takes time but it will soon be hot. So, if oyedepo prayed in december and they arrested key members shortly afterwards yet you as a xtian still don't believe then u are entitled to ur opinion. I don't care wether oyedepo is a MOG or not anybody that curse BH deserve our support and usually, even GOd will answer such prayers as he is already doing |
2good:I actually underestimated the level of your stupidity. With your write up, I suddenly discovered I was responding to an idiot who is largely suffering from insecurity. So ? After realising that 30 people died yesterday what have you done better than mocking the spirit of the dead by rushing to nairaland to use them to settle scores and gain cheap points? To be frank with you, idiots like you don't have have the ability to reason beyond their nose. Show me one single country that claims there is no God and yet they are succesful like you claim? Why are u so shallow in your thinking? If you actually take time to study the origin of the internet you will be shocked that even the originators of internet ascribe their success to God; anyway that is why you are grossly unsuccesful as its obvious in your level of animosity towards the society. People like you expect God to practically come down and do everything for them and once things are not working out they rush to a forum to deny the existence of God. Stupid; that is the only language I can use to describe a slowpoke like you. |
2good:don't be stupid my guy. Did NATO led invasion of libya worked? Why did it take many months of bombing before ghaddafi was captured? So u are dumb enuf to assume that prayer is magic? His prayer is definately working with the series of high profile arrest that were made following his pronouncement. So u assume that once he speaks BH attack will just stop like magic. Nothing including prayers work like that. After the amnesty program of yaradua, we all witnessed a lot of kidnappings still but over time we all come to agree that it actually worked to a reasonable extent. When God annointed david as a king thru prophet samuel, dumb people like u tut it wud be immediate but it tuk 14yrs from prophecy to the throne. Prayer is not magic but it is powerful. With all these high profile arrest BH may soon become history regardless of the bombings you see here and there. Stop being petty. Stop being foolish and stop being stupid. It is only a baby that talks like you expecting immediate answer to things like this. At least oyedepo contributed what he had to the fight against terrorism which is prayer; how many imams have done that. What is your own contribution too apart from coming to nairaland to vomit nonsense? Kudos oyedepo. You are a courageous nigerian |
In medical school, lecturers don't dictate. They speak and u copy as much as you can. What it means is that you must be superfast to be able to copy any meaningful note in class. Apart from universal shorthand, every medical student develop their own short form of writing so it becomes extremely difficult sometimes to read the note of ur classmates cos it will have so many abbreviations known to only the writer. By the time you spend 5yrs in medical school, a sure transformation would have taken place on your handwriting. Ur handwriting can never be the same again. This is the major reason why most doctors handwriting appears not to be legible |
wordapple:NO COLLATERAL; yet you want to collect 35percent of the loan as equity and it will be paid in advance of loan application and left in ur account for 3mnths. This is obviously fraud. You are probably robbing peter to pay paul and of course u can't sustain such a ponzi scheme for long. Moreso, you may soon end up in EFCC net cos u are not licensed to collect deposit from people by CBN. You are neither a cooperative nor a finance house. If you don't desist from pasting this post all over nairaland, I will personally petition EFCC about you. Mark my word! |
According to premium times, no evidence showed that kabiru sokoto was involved in the alleged xmas day bombing as widely proclaimed by the FG T.he Nigerian government may have knowingly, in a bid to stem growing international outcry, misled the public into believing that rearrested Boko Haram suspect, Kabir Sokoto, was the mastermind of the Christmas day bombing that killed dozens in Madalla, according to highly classified details available to Premium Times. The killings, one of the group’s deadliest before the recent Kano attacks, drew wide international attention which in a way fostered government’s crackdown that led to Mr. Sokoto’s arrest in Abuja weeks later, supposedly, as the brain behind the plotting and the execution of the blast. But the new details, provided by multiple security sources who are well-informed about operations that have targeted the extremist Islamic sect’s members, and feedbacks passed onto key government officials, cast serious doubt on the administration’s position pinning Mr. Sokoto as the central character behind the attacks. In all, the details shed light on the high-wired intrigues that surround the Jonathan administration’s dilemma at contending an elusive and deadly radical group that has proven unbeatable, and at the same time winning a diminishing public trust that becomes further alienated with each wave of new attacks. Mr. Kabiru, acknowledged by the sources as a sponsor of known members of the sect and by extension, a member himself, is only identified in security circles/records as a Boko Haram militant that operated from Kogi State flank. In the months preceding the Madalla bombings, officials believe that he masterminded some robbery operations in Kabba, Kogi state and led a daring assault on the police station there killing, and carting away ample quantity of arms and ammunition. He is also known to be the sponsor and host of a certain Suleiman Gambo, alias Babangida, a well marked member of the group who was arrested last year during a joint police operation in Sokoto State. But besides those connections, no security record or operation has firmly established any link between Mr. Sokoto and the killings at St. Theresa Catholic church, the officials who all spoke under anonymity because of the sensitivity of the subject, say. “Although the guy himself is a notorious member, there is no report seen of him that cites him as that mastermind,” one official said. “The police knows that, and the government knows that too; but it seems government was desperate to find a face for the crime.” The church car bomb just outside Abuja, which claimed 44 lives and left many more injured on a Sunday morning millions of Christians across the country were attending church service marking Christmas, startled the nation and sparked global condemnation. It turned out to be the most widely reported, and known of the group’s attacks across the world, fetching the country and the government in particular, an intense dose of international attention. In the days that followed, according to the sources, implementing a soothing response would prove intricate for government operatives and policy makers fighting a murky organization with declared targets and tactics, but no known faces, as President Goodluck Jonathan has recently affirmed. More so, the reliable government’s list of suspects for that crime, compiled from testimonies of captured suspects, targeted intelligence and informants, included just four names that clearly remained outside the radar of law enforcement agents. Those mentioned were one Suleiman(different from Suleiman Gambo, who is already in police custody), Muhtari Kafanchan, Mohammed, and Bashar. As of yet, none of the four has been captured. Any arrest such as that of Mr. Sokoto therefore, would put an identity to the atrocity and help the Jonathan administration ward off mounting pressure that criticized its approach to the crisis, the sources said. As it turned out, Mr. Sokoto’s initial arrest in January after operatives trailed his mobile phone signal to the Borno state lodge, and his subsequent escape, served a purpose more than envisaged. For one, it proved the authorities were at work and progress against the sect was being made. However, with the lead actor in the crime at large, investigators could easily proffer justification why a conclusive probe of the case could not be actualized. Then more importantly, the sacking of the police Inspector General, Hafiz Ringim, and the decision to punish Assistant Commissioner Zakaria Biu - both in connection with the escape- stood to demonstrate the administration’s steadfastness at acting when necessary. Calls to the police force spokesperson, Olusola Amore, on Tuesday were not answered. He also did not respond to a text message sent to him seeking comments. |
I operate an E susu account with stanbic IBTC. It is a daily savings account and the agents come around to collect it daily. I was faithfully saving for 3mnths without making any withdrawal. I later went into the bank to demand for my statement of account but I was told I had no statement that they only know the total amount I av saved and that if I nid my statement I should use the handwritten passbook as my statement. I told them nobody would accept that from me and that it was improper for me to save over a million with them without proper statement. That was when this guy who happened to be the operations manager shouted me down that as long as my money is complete I had no right to complain. The other staff were telling him that I am a regular customer but he didn't bother. He later called a police officer to come and walk me out but other customers intervened. I went straight to my lawyer and we called the customer complaint threatening fire and brimstone. Promptly they apologised and asked for scanned copy of my passbook which they used to provide me my statement from the headquarters. They gave the guy query and made him face a disciplinary panel cos as at the time he used police to walk me out, I had more than a million in that account. This guy called me yesterday saying unless I intervene he will be sacked. He is asking me to tell them at the headquarters that I was angry from home before and that I transferred the aggression on him before he reacted that way. He actually begged me and was almost weeping on phone. |

ndu_chucks:for now, the theory is that sanusi was released because the emirate prevailed on the govt to do so. If abacha was desperate to jail sanusi because sanusi was opposed to abacha govt do u think sanusi would have escaped. That was not the modus operandi of abacha govt. Sanusi was arrested for a cold murder case and he has never been exonerated till date so if he was so sure he was innocent let him come out and clear his name. The onus cannot be on Fani to prove this case cos murder case is for state. What fani should do had been done; he made an allegation. Let the security agents investigate and prosecute or exonerate sanusi as the case may be. Let sanusi be bold enough to address press men and tell them his own side of the story |
OK2NV:in america, if this allegation were to be made by a mad man, they will still investigate because we are talking about murder here and by now, Sanusi himself ought to have called a press conference to clear his name from such a weighty allegation. If somebody as important as a former minister is accusing somebody as important as a central bank Governor of murder and all you can talk about is that somebody should not be taken seriously then this country may not come out of the woods. |
violent:Gbam! True talk. very soon we will start hearing that sanusi is being persecuted by CAN because of islamic banking. |
