2good:. Are u for real? You are definately suffering from some kind of delusion. I guess u expected us to give u a standing ovation simply because u stopped praying in the midst of religious madness. So how many laurels and medals have you received since u stopped praying and did anyone complain about your absence from church. If you are for real and u don't belive in God why are u always on religious section where the aim is to discuss God anyway? U know ur problem? U are lost and you are obviously trying to find a way. You complain about everybody talking about religion but it is ur fault. Go to romance and sports section or better still travel section and u will be surprised at how few discussions on God will be. So if u are hypocritical enuf to believe there is no God and you still frequent religion section instead of spending your time on something worthwhile then u are absolutely insecured. Ask yourself. What happened that 18yrs ago that made you stop going to church? Is it because u discovered a new theory in physics that nobody had ever seen or what? You probably had no genuine reason other than your inability to properly reason that if truly there is NO God, there is no YOU. You are as unreal as the God u deny. Anyway, I think mutallab started like you. You are confused but seriously saerching for the truth. Dare2think, I seriously dare you to think about this matter. When God told abraham he would beget a child, do u actually think that the prophecy was real after about 50yrs wtout fulfilment. If u had lived at that time u probably would have gone to a forum too to say the prophecy was not real. When jeremiah prophesied the downfall of babylon, do u think the people believed him when babylon still survived centuries after that. As a xtian, I don't expect you to behave like a suckling babe who only believe in instant gratification. So, if you disconnect a freezer from the power source, will you be naïve enuf to assume that it will be instantly hot.No. It takes time but it will soon be hot. So, if oyedepo prayed in december and they arrested key members shortly afterwards yet you as a xtian still don't believe then u are entitled to ur opinion. After realising that 30 people died yesterday what have you done better than mocking the spirit of the dead by rushing to nairaland to use them to settle scores and gain cheap points? To be frank with you, idiots like you don't have have the ability to reason beyond their nose. Show me one single country that claims there is no God and yet they are succesful like you claim? Why are u so shallow in your thinking? If you actually take time to study the origin of the internet you will be shocked that even the originators of internet ascribe their success to God; anyway that is why you are grossly unsuccesful as its obvious in your level of animosity towards the society. People like you expect God to practically come down and do everything for them and once things are not working out they rush to a forum to deny the existence of God. 2good:don't be stupid my guy. Did NATO led invasion of libya worked? Why did it take many months of bombing before ghaddafi was captured? So u are dumb enuf to assume that prayer is magic? His prayer is definately working with the series of high profile arrest that were made following his pronouncement. So u assume that once he speaks BH attack will just stop like magic. Nothing including prayers work like that. After the amnesty program of yaradua, we all witnessed a lot of kidnappings still but over time we all come to agree that it actually worked to a reasonable extent. When God annointed david as a king thru prophet samuel, dumb people like u tut it wud be immediate but it tuk 14yrs from prophecy to the throne. Prayer is not magic but it is powerful. With all these high profile arrest BH may soon become history regardless of the bombings you see here and there. Stop being petty. Stop being foolish and stop being stupid. It is only a baby that talks like you expecting immediate answer to things like this. At least oyedepo contributed what he had to the fight against terrorism which is prayer; how many imams have done that. In medical school, lecturers don't dictate. They speak and u copy as much as you can. What it means is that you must be superfast to be able to copy any meaningful note in class. Apart from universal shorthand, every medical student develop their own short form of writing so it becomes extremely difficult sometimes to read the note of ur classmates cos it will have so many abbreviations known to only the writer. By the time you spend 5yrs in medical school, a sure transformation would have taken place on your handwriting. Ur handwriting can never be the same again. This is the major reason why most doctors handwriting appears not to be legible |

According to premium times, no evidence showed that kabiru sokoto was involved in the alleged xmas day bombing as widely proclaimed by the FG T.he Nigerian government may have knowingly, in a bid to stem growing international outcry, misled the public into believing that rearrested Boko Haram suspect, Kabir Sokoto, was the mastermind of the Christmas day bombing that killed dozens in Madalla, according to highly classified details available to Premium Times. The killings, one of the group’s deadliest before the recent Kano attacks, drew wide international attention which in a way fostered government’s crackdown that led to Mr. Sokoto’s arrest in Abuja weeks later, supposedly, as the brain behind the plotting and the execution of the blast. But the new details, provided by multiple security sources who are well-informed about operations that have targeted the extremist Islamic sect’s members, and feedbacks passed onto key government officials, cast serious doubt on the administration’s position pinning Mr. Sokoto as the central character behind the attacks. In all, the details shed light on the high-wired intrigues that surround the Jonathan administration’s dilemma at contending an elusive and deadly radical group that has proven unbeatable, and at the same time winning a diminishing public trust that becomes further alienated with each wave of new attacks. Mr. Kabiru, acknowledged by the sources as a sponsor of known members of the sect and by extension, a member himself, is only identified in security circles/records as a Boko Haram militant that operated from Kogi State flank. In the months preceding the Madalla bombings, officials believe that he masterminded some robbery operations in Kabba, Kogi state and led a daring assault on the police station there killing, and carting away ample quantity of arms and ammunition. He is also known to be the sponsor and host of a certain Suleiman Gambo, alias Babangida, a well marked member of the group who was arrested last year during a joint police operation in Sokoto State. But besides those connections, no security record or operation has firmly established any link between Mr. Sokoto and the killings at St. Theresa Catholic church, the officials who all spoke under anonymity because of the sensitivity of the subject, say. “Although the guy himself is a notorious member, there is no report seen of him that cites him as that mastermind,” one official said. “The police knows that, and the government knows that too; but it seems government was desperate to find a face for the crime.” The church car bomb just outside Abuja, which claimed 44 lives and left many more injured on a Sunday morning millions of Christians across the country were attending church service marking Christmas, startled the nation and sparked global condemnation. It turned out to be the most widely reported, and known of the group’s attacks across the world, fetching the country and the government in particular, an intense dose of international attention. In the days that followed, according to the sources, implementing a soothing response would prove intricate for government operatives and policy makers fighting a murky organization with declared targets and tactics, but no known faces, as President Goodluck Jonathan has recently affirmed. More so, the reliable government’s list of suspects for that crime, compiled from testimonies of captured suspects, targeted intelligence and informants, included just four names that clearly remained outside the radar of law enforcement agents. Those mentioned were one Suleiman(different from Suleiman Gambo, who is already in police custody), Muhtari Kafanchan, Mohammed, and Bashar. As of yet, none of the four has been captured. Any arrest such as that of Mr. Sokoto therefore, would put an identity to the atrocity and help the Jonathan administration ward off mounting pressure that criticized its approach to the crisis, the sources said. As it turned out, Mr. Sokoto’s initial arrest in January after operatives trailed his mobile phone signal to the Borno state lodge, and his subsequent escape, served a purpose more than envisaged. For one, it proved the authorities were at work and progress against the sect was being made. However, with the lead actor in the crime at large, investigators could easily proffer justification why a conclusive probe of the case could not be actualized. Then more importantly, the sacking of the police Inspector General, Hafiz Ringim, and the decision to punish Assistant Commissioner Zakaria Biu - both in connection with the escape- stood to demonstrate the administration’s steadfastness at acting when necessary. Calls to the police force spokesperson, Olusola Amore, on Tuesday were not answered. He also did not respond to a text message sent to him seeking comments. |

I operate an E susu account with stanbic IBTC. It is a daily savings account and the agents come around to collect it daily. I was faithfully saving for 3mnths without making any withdrawal. I later went into the bank to demand for my statement of account but I was told I had no statement that they only know the total amount I av saved and that if I nid my statement I should use the handwritten passbook as my statement. I told them nobody would accept that from me and that it was improper for me to save over a million with them without proper statement. That was when this guy who happened to be the operations manager shouted me down that as long as my money is complete I had no right to complain. The other staff were telling him that I am a regular customer but he didn't bother. He later called a police officer to come and walk me out but other customers intervened. I went straight to my lawyer and we called the customer complaint threatening fire and brimstone. Promptly they apologised and asked for scanned copy of my passbook which they used to provide me my statement from the headquarters. They gave the guy query and made him face a disciplinary panel cos as at the time he used police to walk me out, I had more than a million in that account. This guy called me yesterday saying unless I intervene he will be sacked. He is asking me to tell them at the headquarters that I was angry from home before and that I transferred the aggression on him before he reacted that way. He actually begged me and was almost weeping on phone. |

If abacha was desperate to jail sanusi because sanusi was opposed to abacha govt do u think sanusi would have escaped. That was not the modus operandi of abacha govt. Sanusi was arrested for a cold murder case and he has never been exonerated till date so if he was so sure he was innocent let him come out and clear his name. The onus cannot be on Fani to prove this case cos murder case is for state. What fani should do had been done; he made an allegation. Let the security agents investigate and prosecute or exonerate sanusi as the case may be. Let sanusi be bold enough to address press men and tell them his own side of the story |

OK2NV:in america, if this allegation were to be made by a mad man, they will still investigate because we are talking about murder here and by now, Sanusi himself ought to have called a press conference to clear his name from such a weighty allegation. If somebody as important as a former minister is accusing somebody as important as a central bank Governor of murder and all you can talk about is that somebody should not be taken seriously then this country may not come out of the woods. |

If Obasanjo knew that Yardua was terminally ill would he have allowed him become president? Common sense will say No but the reality in Nigeria means yes. Yardua was such an incompetent man that he probably knew next to nothing about sanusi and his fundamentalist history before appointing him. The question still remains: was he arrested? Yes! Has he been exonerated? No! That is the question now! |

This is what FFK wrote on a photo link of sanusi, the CBN governor on his facebook page, .What role did Sanusi Lamido Sanusi have to play in the public beheading of Akaluka, the igbo man in Kano who was accused of ''desecrating the koran''? Why was Sanusi locked up in a Sokoto prison for his alleged role in the incident and why , was he not brought to justice for being amongst those that incited the crowd to behead Akaluka? Where is the report and why has it been supressed? Who were the others that incited the crowd that were summarily executed for doing so by the government of the day and why was Sanusi spared? These are very serious questions that need to be answered and if it is true that Lamido was in any way involved he should not only be removed from the Central Bank immediately but he must also be charged with murder. It is left to the Nigerian people to either demand answers to these questions or just let this whole thing slip away. One thing that I know is that it appears that Akaluka's blood and his headless body is now speaking from the grave and haunting his murderers. 1 Like |
