Drinking alcohol is not a sin, you might not like it but it is not a sin.
Health › Re: Alcohol Addiction by hercules07: 3:39pm On May 14, 2011
Agaba, I am a strong Buhari supporter and I disagree with enyojo on this, I have never taken the stuff in my life but I will not condemn anybody that does that, hell, my mother in law insists on the thing whenever she comes around to cater for the kids (odeku). Enyojo, wine is alcoholic, infact the kegites have Jesus Christ as their life fellow because his first miracle was to turn water to wine, let us put down the bible sometimes and use the intellect that God has given us to analyse situations, Alcoholism is a problem in Nigeria but there is nobody looking at it (maybe FRSC sha)

I made a mistake, it was not even from the military time, the case was in 2003 and it was Gani versus IBB.
Politics › Re: "You Don't Have Powers To Probe Violence" Buhari Tells Gej. by hercules07: 1:56pm On May 14, 2011
@mike and naijaking

Buhari is not afraid of any panel, Obasanjo has set up a panel on him before and he came out clean, your GEJ does not have the powers, it has been tested in court and there is nothing he can do about it, he can instigate the state governments to set up their panels, the case that Gani won gives the powers to the states, the National Assembly can set up a panel only in Abuja and it has no power to summon people outside of the FCT, please use google.
Politics › Re: "You Don't Have Powers To Probe Violence" Buhari Tells Gej. by hercules07: 9:28pm On May 13, 2011
@mike

Where was your GEJ when Yinka Odumakin and his wife were facing Abacha's government, the guy has stayed on the side of truth and no matter the intimidations, he will stay the course, you need to educate your president that he has no powers to set up a tribunal, that is the law.

I hope you are aware that it was the military that gave us our constitution and that you are aware of precedence in the court of law, please ask a lawyer, he will enlighten you.

They did nothing wrong so they are free to oppose him, even if he pardoned them, should they be indebted to him for life?
Politics › Re: We Can't Progress With These Cabals. What should We Do About Them? by hercules07: 5:06pm On May 13, 2011
@Johnie

I am not bothered about who you voted for, in actual fact, if you read my posts properly I am taking you on as per your not voting and not who you voted for. I have accepted that you did not vote for anybody, by the way I have asked her and she says it is PDP, the settlement was stuff two and get one free.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Please Bring El-rufai Back As Fct Minister by hercules07: 3:24pm On May 13, 2011
When El Rufai is eyeing Jonathan's seat, you are asking him to come and work under GEJ, the guy don pass that level. @Papa, El Rufai is in the opposition now so he is allowed to take pot shots at the other guys.
Politics › Re: "You Don't Have Powers To Probe Violence" Buhari Tells Gej. by hercules07: 3:20pm On May 13, 2011
Gani took IBB's government to court over this and won at the supreme court, it is the states that are empowered to set up tribunals, also because this is a criminal matter, there is no need for any tribunal, arrest the perpetrators and take them to court shikena.

Johnie

The corper probably stuffed the box for the highest bidder on that day ( we know the parties with deep pockets), you are allowed to criticize who you voted for, but, do not get angry when people say reprimand you for voting a party that has no ideology or track record of performance.
Politics › Re: We Can't Progress With These Cabals. What should We Do About Them? by hercules07: 2:14pm On May 13, 2011
Johnie

Of course the elections in Lagos were rigged as well, the level of rigging was just minimal, I personally know a corper who stuffed ballot boxes for PDP in the presidential elections, I was in the air on the day of the national assembly elections but when I went to vote on the day of the presidential elections, I noticed my name was ticked as having voted the week before.
If you did not vote in this elections and just sat on the fence, you do not have any moral ground to complain, I voted CPC, believed the guy was rigged out, I have complained and now we are in court.
Business › Re: Refinery, Not Solution To Nigeria’s Oil Problem – Imf by hercules07: 12:03pm On May 13, 2011
ekt, it is not the amount by which you increase the cost, it is the fact that something has been added on top, apparently you did not live long in naija.
Business › Re: Refinery, Not Solution To Nigeria’s Oil Problem – Imf by hercules07: 10:50am On May 13, 2011
A 5% cut in the subsidy will result in over 50% increment in the cost of some items, remember that nothing is planned, transport cost for instance will double except for BRT, Obasanjo did it and we had cost of living going high.
Business › Re: Refinery, Not Solution To Nigeria’s Oil Problem – Imf by hercules07: 10:43am On May 13, 2011
The deleterious effect of removing subsidy is far more than leaving it in place right now, the effects include social upheaval, economic palaver for ordinary nigerians. I hope you know that in Nigeria prices always go up.
Business › Re: Refinery, Not Solution To Nigeria’s Oil Problem – Imf by hercules07: 10:32am On May 13, 2011
ekt seems to think that our government will utilise the savings on subsidy removal for the benefit of ordinary nigerians, we have voted in a government that does not care, if it is the subsidy that the common man can benefit, then let it be, removal of subsidy simply gives them more money to loot.

Call in airstrike on Uganda? You think that country is one small country when it comes to way, they have been at war for decades, do not try their army o.

Politics › Re: Reject Postings To Northern States, Group Directs Yoruba Corps Members by hercules07: 10:28am On May 12, 2011
Why do other countries of the world have their youths do compulsory military service? In Israel, every citizen is a member of the armed forces and can be called up at anytime. I hope you know that it was the military that gave us the internet, you do not need to be a combatant to be in the military.
Politics › Re: Reject Postings To Northern States, Group Directs Yoruba Corps Members by hercules07: 6:05am On May 12, 2011
NYSC will just post them to the North again the following year and the following year and the following year, by the time they spend 10 years at home, they will carry their kaya to where they are posted, what we need is for the NYSC to be restructured, personally, I feel they should all serve in the armed forces and be sent out maybe three times a week to civilian posts to work, they should live in barracks and be trained just like military men, the boys up north know that they can not attack military men and go scot free, na instant justice.
Health › Re: How Do You Feel After Smoking Weed by hercules07: 6:01am On May 12, 2011
I do not subscribe to smoking or taking weed in any form but weed is not a drug, it is just a plant that grows and when you set it on fire, funny things happen.
Politics › Re: We Can't Progress With These Cabals. What should We Do About Them? by hercules07: 5:52am On May 12, 2011
Johnie, the elections in the SW were rigged as well(there is no where you leave PDP to do as they wish and they will not rig), just not to the level that we saw in other parts of the country, SW people were going to vote Jonathan because of where he comes from, if Tinubu had struck a deal with Buhari, do you think Jonathan would have won the SW? ACN people were canvassing for PDP on that day, Tinubu just adopted a siddon look, even with that, I know corpers who stuffed ballot boxes on that day for PDP, just wait for the forensics, you will be shocked.
Bakare saying Buhari was not fit for office does not make it universally so, it was his opinion and he was entitled to it, we all have perceptions about people that are wrong, it is until we meet and know these people that we now have the right ideas about them. You are vehemently against Buhari yet when it comes to GEJ, you say it is the cabals around him, not the man himself, I find that very strange, he is the president of the country and should be brave enough to deal with these cabals.
You can not come on nairaland to complain that some cabals are working against good governance when you like the guys in the bible hid your talent without doing anything about it.

The Yorubas are not too concerned about the speakership, it is only OBJ and his cohorts that are interested in it, I feel for our SE brothers sha, it was obvious that they were being used, yet they did not realise it, anyway, 2015 will soon be here.

Johnie, you could have voted for the NCP candidate, no wahala, nobody would have held it against you, afterall some people did. As per the cabal issue, you had the chance to vote two credible people in Buhari and Ribadu, you did not, so you have to live with the cabals for the next four years as your president depended on them for his elections, welcome to PDP's way of running our lives, goodluck for the next four years' you will need it.
Politics › Re: Acn Sets Agenda For Govs, Govs-elect by hercules07: 5:27am On May 12, 2011
Inasmuch as I respect Bola Ige and cherish his memories, he was one of those who brought down the AD because he did not get the party's nomination in 1999, those who continue to attack Tinubu do not know what he has done for democracy.
Politics › Re: We Can't Progress With These Cabals. What should We Do About Them? by hercules07: 8:44pm On May 11, 2011
You had several people, you need to go with lesser of all evils, you definitely do not like Buhari ( a non compromising, honest man), you think Ribadu is weak, you did not also like Shekarau, pray why did you not vote for Okotie or the ovation man or even Utomi (his name was still on the ballot), you wasted an opportunity to make your vote count, though I voted CPC, I salute those who voted Utomi even when the man had quit the race, you did not take a stand and you are hardly qualified to criticize. As per Obama's statement, the man does not know that Africa is different from the US, you need strong leaders to build the institutions, why did the US give one of their presidents three terms, they should have given it to a weakling now. You are asking Buhari to accept fraudulent elections, so, if you were in his shoes, you will not go to court abi? The man dies in him who in the face of tyranny keeps silent.
Politics › Re: We Can't Progress With These Cabals. What should We Do About Them? by hercules07: 7:50pm On May 11, 2011
Johnie, at times we vote because we want to make a point, your voting for Ribadu will be because of the man not because of his being used by Tinubu, as per Buhari, I find it strange that you think he could not function in a democracy when all his actions so far have been that of a democrat, he was robbed in 2007 but he accepted the verdict, Nigeria at this point in time needs strong men like Buhari, someone who will cleanse the augean stables. 2015 is another chance, please vote and protect your vote.
Politics › Re: We Can't Progress With These Cabals. What should We Do About Them? by hercules07: 7:37pm On May 11, 2011

I will take you on your words but you fall my hand o, why u no vote CPC now, at least that one na one extra vote, I believe you should have voted for one of the candidates, apathy does us no good, the safe candidates were Buhari and Ribadu.
Politics › Re: Is The Fg Really Serious About Improving Power Supply? by hercules07: 7:33pm On May 11, 2011
@lottery

You will need to transmit a little bit, nobody is going to site a generating plant in the middle of the marina or in VI, the generating station will be some kilometers away and for you to move it down to where it is needed you will transmit, of course it is easier to site in Ikorodu and transmit to Epe and other parts of Lagos, the FG can not be serious about power supply when GEJ is frolicking with Otedola.
