if only Akintola did not run out of bullets, I might not have liked that man (as I am an Awo person) but I respect him, he showed the warrior in him on that day, a real Are Ona Kakanfo, may he rest in peace.
Politics › Re: Compensate Awo By Giving Fcta Ministerial Appointment To Segun Awolowo by hercules07: 1:06pm On Jun 12, 2011
Ministers are appointed, and this should be done on merit, his name should not give him unnecessary advantage.
Politics › Re: How 37-Storey NECOM house Was Sold To Bankole's Firm For N4 Billion! by hercules07: 12:35pm On Jun 12, 2011
Knowall, that building is worth far far more than 4 Billion naira, heck the land on which it sits is prime land and probably goes for around that figure, I have been in that building and what they need to do to make it top notch is not much, it was done up some years ago by costain,so it is in good shape.
Politics › Re: Compensate Awo By Giving Fcta Ministerial Appointment To Segun Awolowo by hercules07: 12:33pm On Jun 12, 2011
We should stop giving people positions because of their names, their father came from obscurity to become the best leader yorubas have ever had, what is sauce for the midas should be sauce for the mendicant. We need true federalism, we need to be able to control our destinies within the country called Nigeria, we do not need handouts, they can give those positions to other tribes, as long as we can develop at our own pace and with the co-operation of all the ethnic groups we have welcomed in our region we are okay. SW o ni baje oooooooooooo.
Business › Re: Lekki Airport: White Elephant Project? by hercules07: 12:11pm On Jun 12, 2011
Knowall cool temper, the airport project is a good one, whoever it is awarded to is going to make money, as long as the project is built at a reasonable cost and is done well, no wahala, it is for the rich anyway, they can afford to pay the charges.

@Ikeyman

It is not that bad, we still have the patrol vans in the dark spots, once Fashola finishes with his Power project, he can light up all those dark places and it will be easier to deal with these type of crimes.
Politics › Re: It Is Time To Release Bankole & Stop These Silly Games by hercules07: 11:57am On Jun 12, 2011
Knowall, I was agreeing with you until you said Akala is the best governor in Oyo state since 1999, I believe the Bankole saga is just initial gra gra by Jonathan, the charges are laughable, Bankole surely has other crimes that can send him to jail for more than a hundred years but they are keeping those ones under wraps, as per contract inflation, what they need to show is Bankole receiving kickbacks on the purchases and not this silly one of a TV costing X amount and Bankole buying it for Y amount, abeg when did Bankole become a purchasing manager sef?
The INEC DDC machine stuff was riddled with so much corruption that if anybody investigates it now, Jonathan o, David Mark o, Bankole o, none will come out clean.

@Eko and Mai Suya

Nice discussions jare, the BS that has been emanating from that family since the advent of democracy is too much, they have been on the side of the oppressors, all because of what they will eat, there is a yoruba adage that says ranti omo eni ti iwo n se (remember whose kid you are), they have forgotten the principles of their father and are dining with the devil. Tinubu is a master strategist and has exposed them, he does not need to say much again.

It is easy for Justice Salami to prove, he can provide alibi for where he was on the days the calls were said to have been made, MTN can confirm from their logs where the calls were made from, shikena.

Business › Re: Korean Investors To Lift Agric In Ekiti With U.s.$400 Million by hercules07: 7:06am On Jun 11, 2011
There is no cause for alarm, one thing I know is that Nigerians are always ready to kill for land, if the Korean investors mess up, they will be seriously dealt with by the people, Ekiti people are even more violent than the average yoruba man, so it is a good investment, the governor just needs to put in place checks and balances, the price that the products will be sold should be negotiated annually, the advantage the Koreans should have is that they will always have first option on the produce, we need private companies to focus on this area, they need to look at the effect of land and water on the global economy.
Politics › Re: Awo Family Without An Awo By Sam Omatseye (The Offensive Article) by hercules07: 9:17pm On Jun 10, 2011
Katsumoto, the King is dead long live the King ni jare, Oba Ku, Oba ku ni, Awo is gone, his family have not stepped up to the plate, Tinubu is serving a purpose, at this point in our lives what we need is a Tinubu and his dogs of war, the Awolowo family is tending towards a feudal one, we can not accept that, let them be on the right path and people will flock to them in droves, what made their father popular was the fact that he had the interest of the common man at heart, he groomed seasoned technocrats and led by example, which one of them is leading by example. When Hilary Clinton came out, blacks told her point blank, we love your husband but we do not love you.
If an elder does not respect his eldership, he needs to be told in no uncertain terms that he has digressed, Yorubas can be diplomatic but when push comes to shove, we say it as it is jare.

Apparently WizardofOz is one of the children of the civil servants that were retired by Akande, Akande pruned the spendings and did great things for his people, Oyinlola maimed and killed through his PDP
Politics › Re: Is Hid Awolowo The Same As Chief Awolowo by hercules07: 9:02pm On Jun 10, 2011
HID Awolowo is not Awolowo, Awolowo demands our respect, but every other person must earn it, including his wife.
Politics › Re: Awo Family Without An Awo By Sam Omatseye (The Offensive Article) by hercules07: 8:58pm On Jun 10, 2011
Good talk Katsumoto but anybody in position of authority is open to criticism including HID, yes she is aged but the woman is lucid, I have seen her on TV, the Awolowo family is a disgrace to their father, why should the children allow their mother to hobnob with people like OGD and Akala, will Awo ever do that? The sensibilities of HID should be balanced against the havoc wreaked by the PDP guys in the SW, please ask people of Osun state how Oyinlola dealt with them.
NYSC › Re: Petition To Withdraw Youth Corpers From Violent Northern Nigerian States. by hercules07: 8:00pm On Jun 10, 2011

Politics › Re: Senate: ACN Back Akume For Minority Leader Seat by hercules07: 7:47am On Jun 10, 2011
Our brothers from the East on Nairaland (not in real life sha) have such a deep seated hatred for the SW it is uncanny, any little thing that happens to the SW becomes an opportunity to gloat, why dont they put all of their efforts on making their villages, towns, cities and states much better places to live, the people of the SW have chosen the ACN as our leaders and we are comfortable with their decisions so far, we have tasted mainstream politics and we say no more. Ki o ni kaluku je oruko baba e abi na by force, afterall ile la ti n ko esho rode.

Corpers serving in the SS and SE should now know that they are going to be targets, if the government can crack down on these kidnappers, they can nip it in the bud, if not, omo this is going to be a new branch of the kidnapping industry.
Politics › Re: Oni, Youth Group Blast Tinubu, ACN Over Attack On Awo Family by hercules07: 7:23pm On Jun 09, 2011
Where did the Awolowo family get the impression that they area above criticism, who do they think they are that they can not be told in clear terms when they are digressing from the ideals of their patriarch, we love and respect Chief Obafemi Awolowo, every other person must earn our love and respect and they are fair game to criticism.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu has every right to blast these people as they are no longer on the side of the masses, rather they are openly in support of PDP and should be reminded of their roots, HID should know that Chief Obafemi Awolowo struggled early in life and was never a man to support evil such as PDP, if Awolowo was alive and was working with the PDP against the wishes of the people, he would have been told in clear terms that we the Yorubas are no longer supporting him, that is the essence of the Yoruba man, we hold our leaders to higer responsibilities and when they deviate, they are told.
Politics › Re: Senate: ACN Back Akume For Minority Leader Seat by hercules07: 7:14pm On Jun 09, 2011
Katsumoto

Most of the peeps taking Panadol for the SW headaches do not understand the psyche of the Yoruba man, Tinubu is a necessary evil, he has shown that he can match PDP fire for fire while also bringing development to his region, as long as PDP plays politics the hard way, we will always need a Tinubu, afterall, Awolowo too had his dogs of war. Tinubu is a dogged political fighter, the single gesture of bringing out Fashola has galvanised other governors to start working, they are now trying to match Fashola's achievements.
@Obiagu, yeah you will, why not start from your village or state.
Politics › Re: Make Tinubu The Asiwaju Of Yorubaland – Group To Ooni by hercules07: 7:18am On Jun 09, 2011
@Katsumoto and those who think the Ooni was supreme to the Alaafin

Why did the Ilorins try so hard to sack Oyo and not Ife. Why were the Ibadans under the authority the Alaafin even when the guy was instigating wars against them? Why did the Modakekes sack Ife three times and did not dare try that with Oyo or even Ibadan?
To those saying that the colonial guys made the Alaafin King of Yorubas, hope you know that the British met us fighting wars involving hundreds of thousands of men, do you think the great leaders of those times did not know their leaders or King?
The Basorun of Oyo was far far superior to the Ooni talkless of the Alaafin himself, Awolowo was a good and great man for the Yorubas, the elevation of the Ooni was one of the bad things he did.
As per Tinubu, they can make him whatever they want, all I want is good governance for the SW, the Obas are no longer relevant to modern day leadership, their style is too feudal for my liking in Nigeria.
