@Dayo It is allowed for southerners to kill southerners, it is only when northerners have the cheek to kill anybody that everybody goes mental, there was a communal clash in ebonyi state that claimed as many lives as those in Jos, yet, no one heard a thing about it here, the Ebonyi people will still vote the same party that could not guarantee their security into power next week. |
This action of the police could inflame passions over there again, how incompetent can a Police force be that they can not provide security, why are people not looking at the real issues, people we have tasked with providing us security are shying away from their responsibilities. What do you guys think will happen if Tinubu were not allowed to enter Ibadan? |
If there is a rerun, I will vote for CPC, no sentiments for me, I can not continue to vote for a party that has not affected my life positively in 12 years, I really really want us to vote out the incumbents at the presidential level to send a signal to those guys that we can vote you in and we can equally vote you out. |
I am just waiting for the gubernatorial elections, I want to see what our brothers from the east will say when PDP wins all 11 SS and SE states with rigging. The people of the SS and SE have sown the wind by voting in PDP at the presidential level, they will reap the whirlwind at the Gubernatorial level when Jonathan pays his guys back. |
Ol boy, if the North can ever get itself organised, the SS and SE will get their wish of secession as they (the North) will discover that they do not need oil money to survive, they just need to make use of what they already have. This is a fantastic piece and the words there should be drummed into the hearts of the Northern people, I am just afraid that they might be fatalistic (does that word exist?) in their thinking and might make the mistake of the if we cant beat them, lets join them brigade by bringing forward a total disreputable individual that is acceptable to all of Nigerians for the presidency come 2019 ( I believe GEJ is going for a second term as well). |
I am sorry to say that sacking the Interior minister should not be the case, they need to come up with a comprehensive plan for reacting to situations like this, he has just sacrificed the minister (who was probably busy rigging for him anyway), more heads need to roll, the Inspector General of Police and the director of SSS should also be sent packing, they should have anticipated this, their successors should come up with plans on how to nip situations like this in the bud, sacking a minister and not putting in place a frame work and working towards actualising that frame work is just a publicity stunt. |
I hope you guys are aware that when the North gets its hand on power, that is the end, the power will not be moving down south in a hurry and they will continue to use the power of incumbency to scuttle the ambitions of Southern politicians, I believe this is one of the areas where Fashola might have an issue (apart from Tinubu's ambition), he needs to get there before a Northerner does. We need the ACN to reform itself, but, that is going to take some time, the guys winning elections need to build their own power base before they can challenge Tinubu, they all also depend on his money to fight the PDP, we really need parties that have ideologies, funnily enough the only part with any iota of ideology is PDP (chop and quench ideology). Lamido Sanusi, El-Rufai, the guy that negotiated our debt alongside Okonjo Iweala need to move into politics, we need more of Lamido Sanusi from the North, those who see Nigeria as worth dying for and who are not inhibited by the memories of their fathers. |
Femi the rigging has gone 21st Century, why do they have to do it brazenly when it can done in a corner without prying eyes, people have voted PDP in, they should be ready to reap the fruits of their labor. |
Mamora did not impose himself at the assembly, everybody could see what Abike Dabiri was fighting for, at least she had a cause and she was rewarded with the ticket, you can not use Mamora's case to castigate Tinubu, we do not only need decent people, we also need those who will work hard. |
@Lagosboy The funny thing is Sanusi is acceptable in the SW ( dont know about SE and SS), if he aligns with Buhari's CPC, he can garner the northern votes, he is known to speak for the talakawas over there though he has had a couple of arguments with their Islamic clerics over there, I really, really want us to kick PDP out, they are a cancer to the nation. |
See what happens when Pro GEJ people keep out of threads, CPC needs to toe the ACN line in terms of building itself up, they need to win here and there and to stay the course, they also need to bring in the progressives in the North, people like Sanusi Lamido Sanusi ( if he is interested ), Ribadu needs to move from the ACN to CPC because Tinubu's ambition is just too great to allow him become president. The politics we practise in Nigeria is sentiments politics, people do not care about track record or integrity, we southerners are as bigoted as the Northern people, we have the omo wa ni eje ki o se mentality. |
Of course you can use excel to rig elections, it has what is called functions that can be used to manipulate figures, Excel is a very powerful tool that in the hands of a competent rigger (PDP and INEC) can produce 99.8% of results for one candidate. |
Beaf na you pay Buhari abi, the guy is telling his supporters to vote out those they hold responsible for the rigging, that is the right thing to say, with people like you,, Buhari is damned either way. |
PrinceK12 Children voted in the two elections held so far, who did they vote for CPC or PDP, let the two parties challenge the results, let forensic analysts have a look at those ballot papers, then we will see the truth. I will check out the video when I get to work, you wan finish my bandwidth allocation with CNN video, |
@Prince Please look at the list of states Beaf has up there, there are Northern states included, also remember that most the underage voting was done during the NASS elections and who do you think swept those polls in the North? |
Seun call on Jonathan and the governors in those states to protect lives and property, they hold the power of coercion and they should use it, BB supporters will not be the ones to stop the violence, CPC and Buhari have called for calm. |
Buhari will not serve under GEJ, Seun Buhari and his party have condemned the violence, let GEJ perform his duties as the President of Nigeria. |
Nigerians na wa, Buhari has condemned the violence, his party has condemned the violence, what else do you want him to do? Let NTA go to his house to interview him, at least then they can ask him to say something about the violence. Jonathan should man up and take the required decisions, does he think that leading Nigeria will be a bed of roses, he needs to take the tough decisions. |
@2Much Ouch |
@Ify Buhari asking for the riots to stop is a good thing but he should not be crucified for the riots, afterall we have a president who should have foreseen a situation like this and prepared accordingly. |
@stiyke Buhari asked the people to defend their votes, JEGA asked people to defend their votes, why do we blame those who try to do the right things? |
@Agaba So Buhari controls the Army and the Police, he is now the CinC that can stop riots, please advise your brother Jonathan to act presidential. |
MyJoe Go to Buhari's website, you will see his plans for Nigeria, at least we know that PDP's plan for Nigeria is Sorrow Tears and Blood. |
@Abagworo Do not mind those PDP people, they rigged the elections with their huge turnout, no wahala sha, we shall all bear the brunt of people's decision in the next four years. |
@Okere Why should Buhari hail an election that he believes is not free and fair, abeg, let Jonathan act presidential by deploying troops to the hot spots to guarantee lives and property. |
I can not congratulate GEJ, it was a bought victory, I can only say that I will support the policies of the Federal Government of Nigeria in whatever way I can, afterall we are all Nigerians even if our selected leaders are spawn of the devil. |
Buhari should come out to douse the tensions in those places, Jonathan should send in troops to guarantee lives and property, INEC should please investigate this elections. |
@Papabrowne The elections were rigged, the riggers did not even do a good job, they should have left the votes in the SS and SE alone as Jonathan was going to win them anyway, no, they had to go all out to inflate the figures with the over 97 percent success that he had in those places. |
