Christianity Etc › Re: Is This True About T. B Joshua? by hercules07: 9:15am On Jun 05, 2011
Most of the Pastors we have in lagos are frauds, that includes Oyaks, Adeboye, TB Joshua and Oyedepo, they have all turned religion into a con job, the only redeeming feature of TB Joshua is his charity, I have been opportuned to install internet access for his church ( around 2001), he was humble and kind to us (gave me dash sef), but, his religion is something else, his methods are funny, but he is a better person than those I have listed up there.

Ngige should face the job he has been asked to do by his people, he is no longer a member of PDP so he is not qualified to talk about their internal issues, if he is interested in PDP, let him go back to that party.
Politics › Re: Nigeria’s Privatisation Delusion by hercules07: 8:56pm On Jun 04, 2011
@4Play

I believe the author is saying deregulate totally instead of trying to sell off the PHCN, use the same method as that of the telecoms sector, it was the total deregulation of the sector that brought about the GSM companies, the downside for having a failed Nitel has been the cost of making calls, lack of landlines and slow penetration of broadband access. A lot of companies that were privatised have failed, the people who bought them were more interested in taking money out of the companies than revitalising them, imagine what happened to Nicon, Nitel and other companies happening to PHCN without options, we will be up the creek without a paddle.
Politics › Re: Nigeria’s Privatisation Delusion by hercules07: 10:14am On Jun 04, 2011
@naijaking

Let the private companies come in first with their resources and infrastructure, let them compete with PHCN, when the competition is keen, we can then sell off PHCN, for now, selling PHCN is asking for monopoly, as Satani said, Nitel was not sold, FRCN was not and NTA was not sold for other people to participate, why are they so keen on selling PHCN?
Politics › Re: Nigeria’s Privatisation Delusion by hercules07: 9:51am On Jun 04, 2011
Liberalization is the way forward in the case of the power sector, we need to ask ourselves why the investors are not ready to set up their own infrastructure just like was done in the telecoms sector, the noise about increasing the cost of power to the users is not necessary if the sector is fully deregulated, the "MTN" of the power sector can come in, set up shop in say Lagos and charge a price that they feel makes them profitable within reasons, competition can now bring the rates down, why is our government so much in a hurry to sell PHCN, are they selling it to themselves?
A lot of our problems in Nigeria require simple common sense, we do not need to throw too much money at this power issue, run PHCN as efficiently as you can (I have always clamored for a more efficient government) but allow others to compete in the same space, PHCN can lease transmission facilities to the new companies while they are building their own, just privatising PHCN will lead to a monopoly which in turn will lead to further hardships for the people. The government can sell this idea the same way it sold the GSM one, infact, it can use GSM as an example to foreign investors or local investors.
Politics › Re: Jumbo Pay: Incoming Lawmakers To Earn N338.6 Billion ($2.5 Billion) by hercules07: 5:55am On Jun 03, 2011
This is a complet waste of money, can somebody compute the same thing for ministers and all the special nonsense that GEJ is going to have? There is a bigger waste happening at the Presidency than the house, that is why the executive branch can not move against this legislooters.

Politics › Re: The Exit Of Yoruba Prodigal Sons. by hercules07: 8:26pm On Jun 02, 2011
Step 1 mi o binu pupo ju, we are at a stage in our development where we ran omo ina si ina, our people are not ready to emancipate themselves, people with good intentions can not win elelctions if they do not have deep pockets or somebody backing them, Tinubu fought gallantly, yes he must have dipped his hands in the till (at the appropriate time he will account for all he took), but, he fought a good fight, the process of government is an iterative one, if we can get better governors elected, we will soon get to a stage where some of the compromises we make will not be acceptable. Obasanjo really wanted to deal with the SW, imagine if Tinubu had not won, SW will be nothing more than a glorified village, let us give kudos to him, let the Jimi Agbaje of this world bring up strong opposition that will be on the governors neck to deliver, we do not want them to come out when they need our votes, the business of politics is something you dedicate yourself to totally.
Politics › Re: Akwa-Ibom: Akpabio Promises Uninterrupted Power Supply by hercules07: 8:18pm On Jun 02, 2011
I tire for this Akpabio guy o, he is talking of power when people are being kidnapped left right and center, you guys will not believe that a friend was kidnapped on Sunday and has not been released in Uyo, this madness started during his time and he has done nothing about it.
Politics › Re: The Exit Of Yoruba Prodigal Sons. by hercules07: 8:14pm On Jun 02, 2011
Step1 ma ba e ja o, what do you mean that Akala and OGD were better than Tinubu? Have you been to Oyo state recently? A lot of what Fashola is taking credit for was started by Tinubu, he laid the foundation, Tinubu is not a saint but if you guys think dislodging the PDP from the SW did not require massive funds, then you are all in dreamland.
Politics › Re: Legislators Offer N200,000 For Official Vehicles Bought For N6m In 2008 by hercules07: 4:08pm On Jun 02, 2011
@alpontif, Kobo and KA24DETT

If you guys know what our crooked private companies do when it comes to personal enrichment at the detriment of their companies, you will weep, the legislators are just taking a cue from our private companies who sell cars to themselves at 20 Naira, our private companies are run like personal fiefdoms and those supporting these actions are used to it in their companies.
The cars and other equipment should be passed on to the next set of legislators, it is only here that we see legislators, appropriate and spend money at the same time. We also need to focus on SAs, Ministers and the likes, those ones are even worse than the legislators when it comes to terminal benefits.
Politics › Re: Goodluck Jonathan Should Scrap The Council Of State! by hercules07: 6:39am On Jun 01, 2011
The council of state thing does not make sense to me, imagine how Jonathan will feel seeing the man he rigged out attending a meeting with him, I even salute Buhari for attending the meetings, if na me, the kain look wey I go dey give Jonathan ehn, the guy no go dey comfortable at all.
We all know that the constitution we practise is a military one, until we all sit down to agree on the terms of our unity, we will not be a nation but a collection of interests. The council of state thing should be expunged from the constitution, if a president does not know what he is expected to do then he has no business being our president (GEJ I am looking at you).

Politics › Re: Network Failure Within The City Center During The Presidential Inauguration by hercules07: 9:43am On May 30, 2011
I tire for GEJ apologists oooooooooo, this impunity with which they are trampling on our rights is something else, if they were afraid of bomb blasts, why did they not just hold the bloody inauguration inside aso rock and be done with it, if anybody wanted to detonate any bomb, they would have used low concept, high tech solution or probably gone for thuraya satellite communications or just time the thing to go off at a certain time, cutting off millions of people because of the safety of a few is totally selfish.
Politics › Re: I Think Nairaland Has Been Tough On " Akala" Of Oyo State As He Bows Out Today by hercules07: 7:31pm On May 29, 2011
Do not mind Knowall, a governor who has not done anything and keeps spending moneyis expected to be indebted abi, the road done in my area is far longer than the one done in the whole of oyo state by Akala, his son in law built a teaching hospital in Ogbomoso and that is the only achievement in 4 years when Fashola built far far better hospitals in each of the local governments in Lagos.
Politics › Re: Why Do Most Nigerians Shout When They Speak? by hercules07: 7:11pm On May 29, 2011
Beaf must always find a way to bash Buhari, the way we behave has nothing to do with the being horse whipped by the military, if you grew up in a major city where there is so much noise and you need to raise your voice to be heard, you will shout when talking, Musiwa got it right with people being partially deaf due to all of the noise, as I am typing this my kids are shouting up and down the house, God will help us attenuate their noise.
Politics › Re: I Think Nairaland Has Been Tough On " Akala" Of Oyo State As He Bows Out Today by hercules07: 3:43pm On May 29, 2011
Knowall is a very funny person, you castigate Fashola, yet you are understanding of Akala. Akala was a disaster in Oyo state, the state regressed during his tenure, the teaching hospital you are talking about was given to his son in law who knew absolutely nothing, he did nothing in Ibadan, at least some governors will still do something in their capitals, he did absolutely NOTHING.
Politics › Re: I Won’t Attend Jonathan’s Inauguration, By Buhari by hercules07: 3:33pm On May 29, 2011
I just get amazed at the anger that people have for Buhari, it makes sense for him not to attend as he is contesting the elections, this elections have shown that southerners are as bigoted as the northern peeps.

What you need to learn is how to program not a programming language, you need the basics first, I find it funny when someone says I am going for Oracle or SQL when he has absolutely no idea about data management.
Politics › Re: Akpabio:fast-tracking Akwa Ibom's Future by hercules07: 9:56am On May 27, 2011
@joe and ozin

I am not knocking Akwa Ibom, the praise for anything that has happened in Akwa Ibom should go to Attah, if you know the dynamics of what happened in 2007 you will know what I am talking about, the Edet Akpan expressway that was commissioned ( 12 lanes road ) was built by Attah not Akpabio, the transformation of Uyo was done by Attah, you are speaking to someone who has been going to Akwa Ibom since 2001, I know that state very well, Akpabio has done some roads no doubt about it, but he has not uplifted the people, you see the economic situation of the people remaining the same from 2002 to date, the laudable objectives of Attah were thrown out, he has only empowered touts, now Attah was not a saint, he drove a smoking patrol in 1999, now, he is a billionaire (stole his people blind), but, he had a vision for the state, he regretted the houseboy tag that was used on Akwa Ibomite and was trying to empower them, when it was time to leave, he chose his son in law who could have even won at the primaries if not for the fact that he had his uncle running as well for another post (led to a lot of cancelled votes). The total length of roads constructed by Akpabio is not up to the Lekki express way and the quality is something else, Ozin, post the recent picture of the airport road, that road can never be compared to ordinary Funsho williams road.
Business › Re: Cbn To Test-run Cash Transaction Limit Policy In Lagos by hercules07: 9:47am On May 27, 2011
The critical component technology wise will be the service providers and from what we can see, they are improving, what is needed is probably less than 16Kbytes of data for the transaction to go through, this is such a puny amount that our providers should cover their heads in shame if they can not provide it.
I am 1000% in support of this as I hate carrying cash and try as much as possible to do most of my transactions electronically.
Business › Re: Cbn To Test-run Cash Transaction Limit Policy In Lagos by hercules07: 6:36am On May 27, 2011
He can get a bloody POS, I was on my way to dubai and was very hungry, I had no money on me but had my debit cards, I entered one of the eateries in the airport and paid with my debit card, food was less than 2K, if I can pay for food with a card, a rice seller can get a POS as well, the wireless internet access in Lagos is getting better and we need to take advantage of this.
Politics › Re: Akpabio:fast-tracking Akwa Ibom's Future by hercules07: 6:32am On May 27, 2011
You might be from the state but I have probably been in the state more than you, I have travelled round Akwa Ibom from IK to Uyo, to Eket, I stayed in Ewet Housing Estate few months ago, was at the hotel built by Attah also, bros forget Akapbio, he can not dream of standing near where Fashola stands, Attah would have gone down in glory if not for his avarice, nobody was ready to support Akpabio in 2007 if not for Attah's stubborness.
The airport project was started by Attah and was intended to be a place where planes are repaired, the University of tech initiative by Attah was discontinued by Akpabio due to jealousy, abeg, forget Akpabio jare, tarring some roads without improving the economic lives of people is nothing,  when you go to Uyo and look at the circumstances of the people, you will see that they have not felt any dividends from Akpabio's administration.
A lot of the projects undertaken by Lagos state government is concentrated on the mainland, have you been to Ogunlana drive recently?

Alj_harem

Tinubu was and is a great leader, he might be dipping his hand in the till once in a while, but, he has been a great leader and is a far more skilled politician than most of the politicians around, he was the only one to see through OBJ's ruse and if you read bk's post on how our brothers in the East were used in the last elections, he saw through PDP plans.
The problems with Nigerians is that we only praise those who finish projects, the guy who initiated it, got the necessary legislation and got a good guy to continue the job deserves higher praise for his foresight.
Business › Re: Lagos State Plans 114MW Power Plant: Fashola Does It Again by hercules07: 6:11am On May 27, 2011
Fashola's blueprint is quite okay, I have always said it that what we need are high concept low tech solutions to our problems, we do not need to throw money at all of our problems, the solutions to these things are simple, Fashola has led the way, we hope other governors in the SW including Edo and Imo states (met wifey there) take note and implement something like this, as for our clueless president, I wish him goodluck.
Business › Re: Cbn To Test-run Cash Transaction Limit Policy In Lagos by hercules07: 6:06am On May 27, 2011
Guys, did you read what the governor said, less than eight percent of transactions, the cost of printing money and cost of handling money by banks, you guys are capitalists to the core and you are going against a money management scheme, it is a very good idea and should be implemented, we do not like change in Nigeria except it is forced down our throats, we should be happy that we have someone who truly loves his job and is honest about it; pushing positive change.
Politics › Re: Akpabio:fast-tracking Akwa Ibom's Future by hercules07: 6:02am On May 27, 2011
Where do people get this nonsense about Akpabio being one development crazy governor, most of the stuff he is credited with were done by his predecessor who just got greedy and tried to put his son in law as the governor, the roads Akpabio built are of no use as those are not the pressing needs of the people, please tell me of what use is a road that passes close by a village where no activity occurs, you can not compare an Akpabio to Fashola lai lai, the guy is a gangster who happens to "rule" a state that is very rich, heck, you can not compare Akpabio to even Donald Duke.
I know Knowall hates Fashola, but, if you are going to bring up someone that Fashola should learn from, please do not bring up Akpabio.

What of Samuel Johnson's brother, he was a doctor and did complete the works of Samuel Johnson, you also need to include the names of those intrepid warriors that stopped the fulanis, the ogunmolas, the Oluyoles and so many others. The yorubas had serious military men (Egbas, Ijebus, the Oyos, Ijeshas and Ekiti parapo people).

I have been to nooks and crannies of this country, from Elele, to PH, Aba, IK, Uturu, Okigwe, Eket, Calabar, Owerri and so many places you have not even heard of, Fashola is trying with the distractions that he has, I was in PH some weeks back and could not see the so called work Amaechi was doing, Aba road was as choked as ever. The bridge that is close to the Air force base was a sub standard work, the only thing I could see that he did was the school I saw around Rumuokoro's side, and those schools are within the city, I did not see schools like that around Omagwa talkless of Elele.
