@Johnie Who did you vote for, personally, I voted for CPC in the presidential elections, voted ACN in the gubernatorial elections and noticed that someone thumbprinted on my behalf for the National Assembly elections when I was transiting Dubai to Lagos on that same day. |
Maku una no mind them, they have been castigating a Fashola that has been working, yet, are raising cabal issues with Jonathan, dem nefa see anything, it is when they pay for everything through their imu that they will know what hit them, they have sown the wind in voting for Jonathan, they will reap the whirlwind in PDP. |
@Johnie I am in two minds about that picture o, that smile is just nice, I think she should register with another handle sha, she has revealed a lot here and we do not want people going after her because of the revelations. Our brothers in the North believe in Nigeria, then the South West then others. |
@kobo If the money for the airport is coming from the state government, I am not in support as I know the state can not afford it and there are other pressing needs, if the government is contributing say 10 to 20% no wahala, anything higher than that, my support no dey o. |
Eziachi We need more people like you down south, those who can see the truth and say it as it is, you have earned my respect, to all those anti Buhari, learn from Eziachi and grow in wisdom. |
People should stop asking others to devalue their items, I have done a lot of importations and have never paid NDLEA guys anything, the reason for that is because I always have my invoices and the foreign transfer slips with me, they do not usually hold items that are imported by companies as long as the company is duly registered. As per gifts, get the guy over there to send it to a company or your company with your name as the recipient, that should free you from the NDLEA guys, though you must pay the proper duties, abi una no wan pay? |
@Kobo As long as they are using private money to build the airports, they can build 72 for all I care, if the airports fail, the investors will lose. |
We heard that the power sector is to be privatised yet the government is building power plants, are they building the plants to hand them over to their cronies? |
GEJ will fire who? If obasanjo does not endorse it, nothing dey happen. As per the airport, since it will be private driven, it is not for the common man and the investors will make their money from taxing the elites who use it, then I have no problems with it, let the state government make it fully private, spend as little money as possible on it but make sure they get a share of the profit. I am not for privatization of everything but in the case of an airport, abeg let them build it, when I use it, then I pay the extortionist charges, non essential amenities such as airports should be fully privatised, the rail system can be privatised as well, it is when government privatises essential things that I get upset, so Fashola carry go, nothing do you ooooo. |
@ndu_chucks You usually are rational in your posts but on this ABC issue, you are being emotional, the company has helped increase the revenue of the state, it signed a contract, let me explain how the company operates. It goes to a state government earning say 500 million naira per month, promises to increase IGR to 6 billion naira a month, if it meets its target, it gets a certain percentage, if it does not, it gets nothing, also, the revenue stream is not static, it must continue to increase. ABC also helped computerise the state's systems in terms of online tax systems, hardware and other softwares. I am aware that even during Tinubu's time, the company was always owed for several months and had to write off some of the debts, now compare ABC to the useless consulting companies used by the FG in Abuja, kai, you go weep, those ones are usually foreign, they do nothing and are paid millions upon millions of dollars for say 4 years, an example is the consulting firm for the railway system. The ABC company worked for Kwara state government and helped the state to increase its IGR, it has also spread to non ACN states, though when it went to Edo under Igbinedion, the first thing that thief asked for was his commission, whether the state got anything was not his concern, of course the company refused and he did not sign the contract. The best way to deal with ABC is for other companies to set up the same thing say a PDP guy sets up something like this, out perform ABC while charging something lower, then, the Lagos state government will not have a leg to stand on, until then, ABC will continue to work for the state government. On a closing note, Tinubu did not make his money from ABC, I think he makes more from contracts and the fact that he virtually sold a lot of choice land to himself. |
@arnold Showing videos will disqualify CPC abi, shebi PDP did not get millions of votes from the same region abi, no wahala, forensic evidence will show who is lying and who is not. |
@queensmith if someone commits a crime saying up queensmith, then you can be jailed and hanged abi, at times I wonder how people reason, do not let your hatred for Buhari cloud your common sense, GEJ knows that no law court can convict Buhari, he will not even try it. Buhari asked for votes to be protected, you call that incitement, Jega asked that people should vote and make sure that their votes are counted, is that incitement too? Make una no worry, GEJ will run your lives as PDP has been running Nigeria for the next four years. |
Fashola is Isale Eko, for you to be governor, you must come from the Island o or have connections to it, though, Lagosians generally do not give a damn who leads them but at the party primaries, your Lagos Island credentials must be established. |
Beaf We will wait for the courts, no need to chest beat, we know that the SE and SS figures were padded, we know there were under age voters in the North but we do not know who they voted for, let us wait for the courts. |
@stranger I do not give a damn about your curses, your Ooni is one of the most useless Kings I have ever seen in my life, anybody who has been to Ife will know that that awo Ibadan bi eni n wo oyo has not brought any development to that place, he has not used his influence to promote the needs of his people, can you believe this man was a staunch supporter of both Oyinlola and Omisore, he stopped supporting Omisore just recently. The Ooni has interest in RCC, can you please tell us how well that company performed on the Ibadan - Ilesha road, a King that is always on the side of o balu je, ko ni da fun gbogbo yin papo. |
@udezue, GEJ guys in the north like the Sokoto state governor did, the aftermath of these court cases will not be palatable, hope u guys know that GEJ is going to lose so many votes in the SW, SS and SE after all of this is over. |
The Oba of Benin is respected, the Sultan of Sokoto too before the GEJ election wahala, the Awujale learnt his lessons when Awo dealt with him, all the ones in Oyo and Osun are chop and quench monarchs, the guy in Lagos is not doing too badly too. |
Texas help me tell them o, dem nefa see anything, lets wait for the cabinet, that is when Nigerians will see the extent of their foolishness in voting the same set of people. Bakare is far far far better than all those tithe collecting, jet riding, money hungry men of God we have in the society, the man dies in him who in the face of tyranny keeps silent. |
@stranger Stop quoting that your bogus book written by an Ife apologist jare, simply answer the questions below. 1) Why were the Fulanis so keen to conquer and destroy Oyo and not Ife? 2) After destroying old Oyo why did the Fulani warriors not make a beeline for Ife instead of Ibadan. 3) How many times did the Ibadans fight the Ifes and how many times did they fight Oyo? 4) If Ooni was the superior monarch how come the modakekes, ordinary settlers could take up arms and kick the ifes into the bush three times. 5) Why would a superior Ooni need to form an alliance with Ilorin to fight the Ibadans who were defending Yoruba lands during the civil war 6) Hope you know that the Basorun was far far superior to your Ooni, if you need clarifications I shall give you. 7) Who did the marauding Fulanis consider the King of the Yorubas? People should not mistake Oyo for Ibadan, Ibadan was a military might but none of the leaders were royal, that was why they had a baale, everybody paid obeisance to the Alaafin, who was a Slave priest to refuse to perform the rites for a King, the Ibadans would have sent the Modakekes to make short work of such an Ooni. According to stranger the British favoured the Alaafin, yeah right, you think the Ilorins, Ijebus, Egbas and Ibadans would have signed the treaties with an inferior King? The civil wars had over hundreds of thousands of people fighting, I am sure those who commanded these men would know their real leaders. I am not too concerned about the monarchy, in fact I believe it should be scrapped but, we should not allow our history to be denigrated by all these Ife people, it is where the King is that is his palace, Air force one does not get the call sign until the president steps in. http://www.gamji.com/article4000/NEWS4738.htm http://www.ijebu.org/oyo/ http://www.edo-nation.net/sowunmi1.htm |
Stranger, your revision of history will not and can not succeed, have you asked yourself why the Ibadans will submit to the Alaafin even when they knew he was fuelling some of the wars and yet will send the Modakekes to deal with the Ifes? We know our history, can you tell me about Basorun Ga, do you know the Oyo mesi? Reverend Johnson was not an Oyo man, he was from present day Kwara state. |
What is wrong with all these people concerning themselves with Lagos wahala, we want an airport, we will get the airport, the MMA is the ugliest, most unkempt airport I have ever seen in my life, the international wing is a disgrace. |
These PDP guys on Nairaland are the most ungracious set I have ever seen, it is within the right of CPC to go to court, it is a process of deepening our democracy, PDP are going to court in Ogun state and some other states, it is their right, let them go challenge their loss in the court of law. A man has towed the legal way of getting justice three times yet he is being lambasted by people on here, no wahala, Nigerians have sown the wind by voting PDP, they will reap the PDP whirlwind. |
Stranger u know we have gone through this before, your Ooni is not fit to lace the boots of the Alaafin, I know you are a proud ife man but please do not distort history oooooooooooooooooooooooooo, just to buttress my point, who did the British Monarch sign treaties with in Yoruba land during the Yoruba Civil wars? |
I do agree here with Texas, more innocent lives were lost that went unreported, the reason for this is because of the southern press, they made it seem as if it was only southerners that died in the violence. I will not be surprised if the security forces killed more innocent people than the rioters themselves. |
Bodija bone that thing jare, Bakare is more honest that those people listed, did they not collect tithes from the bank MDs. |
I hope those condemning Aregbesola are aware that Osun is number 33 on the list of states receiving allocations, has a large civil service and is bogged down by debts from oyinlola's administration, he is using his security vote and other monies allocated to governors to pay for the 20,000 people he employed, thereby indirectly pumping some money into the hands of the poor, he is also working on the agricultural sector, it is going to take some time but he will get it right. |
Sagamite o ti to, eleyi ti poju now, you need to chill out for these people o, as per the post, some of the governors are not trying at all, Akpabio is building infrastructure without thinking about how it affects the common people. My fervent prayer is that the governors in the opposition parties (ACN, CPC and LP) perform beyond expectations. |
Where are people getting all this Akpabio is working nonsense, most of the projects he has commissioned were started and almost finished by Attah, a lot of his projects are substandard as well, and the guy is a confirmed killer. The University of Tech. that Attah started has been neglected, he is just an ordinary noisemaker, I have not been to Enugu for a while so I can not talk much on Chime, as per Fashola, we need him to upgrade the quality of road works being done, it is better to fix the roads once and for all instead of palliative measures. |
@ Dave Jonathan, who also congratulated all winners of the general elections, said rather than seeking to settle scores, they (winners) should be magnanimous in victory The statement above is a veiled attempt at telling the governors not to probe their predecessors, Ajimobi has already said he is probing Akala, the President is not meant to give directives to the governors, he has enough issues before him as it is, he should face his responsibilities squarely, if he is to make statements, he should be on the side of those governors that have said they are probing their predecessors, the guy does not know when to speak sef. |
My brothers make una leave them, they do not know anything, Jona will come out with more instructions and warnings, imagine the guy warning governors as if he is talking to his children, abeg in the SW of Oyo and Ogun states, we are going to probe the past governors and will also witch hunt them, the SS and SE can maintain status quo, that is their wahala. |
